STOP PRESS! Live pre-wedding webchat with our very own Kate Middleton, TODAY at 1pm

Hello. We're extremely honoured (and just a little bit over-excited) to announce that royal bride-to-be Kate Middleton is coming to MNHQ for a webchat today at 1pm.

A while back, we put in a formal request for Kate to take part in a Mumsnet webchat (nothing ventured, nothing gained and all that) but, truth be told, we weren't that hopeful, given her other pressing engagements this week.

But then, this morning, the Buckingham Palace Press Office rang to say Miss Middleton had some time this lunchtime between her last dress fitting and her first palace-balcony-etiquette briefing - and would be delighted to drop in and chat to Mumsnetters. Apparently, she's been lurking on Mumsnet quite a lot recently and has been finding the Bridezilla discussions a real eye opener. Shock

So, quick, please post your (suitably deferential) questions for Miss Middleton here - and join us for our very first royal webchat at 1pm.

Sorry for that Mrs M, SGB always manages to lower the tone

I swear to God that looked like a kitten in preview. I honestly thought I'd cracked it.

StealthyKissBeartrayal · 26/04/2011 22:45

srill does, well I see it

SpringchickenGoldBrass · 26/04/2011 22:47

Yup, I see pussy!

Caz10 · 26/04/2011 22:50

Having just read it all at once - can I join in the "chill out people" people?!

It made quite funny skim reading!

WHY were people telling their kids about a MN webchat? Do you all tell your kids about MN? Granted DD is only 3 but I can't imagine sharing MN with her at any point!

Valpollicella · 26/04/2011 22:54

Lindsay, I am shamelessly stealing that Grin

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 26/04/2011 23:22

Well! Ive just found this thread...
IMO this was an inspired idea...that just wasnt launched properly! I cant see what everybody is so wound up for. If it had worked, this thread would have been fantastic, and would be in classisc by now. TBH MNHQ havent set themselves up for a journalistic flaming, all those posters who went over the top with the condemnation have done that for themselves. Plenty of MNers troll for a laugh and get away with it, 'people who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones!'

PinotGrigioBlush · 27/04/2011 07:35

Lindsay you're lovely!

The kitten thread is here if anyone wants to come and check up on them. Meows eyes opened last yesterday and she looks super cute - now they are both gazing with theit baby blues (check my profile pics and squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee)

just checking... [cbiscuit] (which makes me think of the horse, by the way - but that's probably just me)

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 27/04/2011 09:39

With the pletheora of "of course she wouldn't be popping on for a quick webchat just 3 days before her wedding" I am slightly confused at what was keeping you all so busy 3 days before you got married?
By then most things are a done deal, surely it's mostly twiddling your thumbs and waiting for the big day?

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 27/04/2011 09:39

"I have lost some respect for MNHQ with regard to this. It is childish and stupid!!!"
Rubbish! No more childidh than any other 'sucessful' fun troll! The only reason to lose respect is because HQ took a great idea and buggered it up!
Personally I have lost respect for all those MNers who can dish it out but not take it!

FriggFRIGG · 27/04/2011 09:50

[cgrin] at BOF on wrightstuff......

HRHUrsulaBuffay · 27/04/2011 10:02

Matthew Wright you are a [ccunt]

PinotGrigiosKittens · 27/04/2011 10:03

What did he say? I missed it.

dawntigga · 27/04/2011 11:12

Matthew Wright, for example, is a twat.

NotShortImFunSized · 27/04/2011 11:20

I want to know what he said, I missed that bit!

Although when he was chatting shite about high "kiler" heels I couldn't resist sending in "I'd like to test out the killer part of these heels. If Matthew puts his head on the desk I'll come in and stand on it in my stilettos. All in the name or research of course."

Funnily enough it wasn't read out [cgrin]

Forlorn - Glad to have amused - now I really am off to the caravan, with my tongue still planted firmly in my cheek.

Great PR stunt MNHQ, shame you managed to piss off half of your customers though!

BitOfFun · 27/04/2011 12:41

Damn, I missed it! What did he say?

VinegarTits · 27/04/2011 12:52
