STOP PRESS! Live pre-wedding webchat with our very own Kate Middleton, TODAY at 1pm

Hello. We're extremely honoured (and just a little bit over-excited) to announce that royal bride-to-be Kate Middleton is coming to MNHQ for a webchat today at 1pm.

A while back, we put in a formal request for Kate to take part in a Mumsnet webchat (nothing ventured, nothing gained and all that) but, truth be told, we weren't that hopeful, given her other pressing engagements this week.

But then, this morning, the Buckingham Palace Press Office rang to say Miss Middleton had some time this lunchtime between her last dress fitting and her first palace-balcony-etiquette briefing - and would be delighted to drop in and chat to Mumsnetters. Apparently, she's been lurking on Mumsnet quite a lot recently and has been finding the Bridezilla discussions a real eye opener. Shock

So, quick, please post your (suitably deferential) questions for Miss Middleton here - and join us for our very first royal webchat at 1pm.

I imagine FakeKate is usually a hoot, but that it's awfully hard to come up with much when you are terrified and justine is shrieking at you "Type, woman, God damn you, type!"

If they had announced her and then brought her on 15 mins later nobody would have had time to figure things out, twitter, contact Clarence House (? haha) etc. There was too much time for speculation.

The beauty of MissRabbitLive that time was that it was clear it was a spoof and took folk by surprise at the same time. (and was inspiredGrin)

I shall reiterate what Rohanda said in that it could have been good but was executed "shitly".

and poor fakekate was left like Nemo "Oh you're a clown fish, well Be Funny".

Valpollicella · 26/04/2011 15:33

Oh MissRabbitLIve...that was funny. Especially when MummyPig rocked up

GitAwfMayLend · 26/04/2011 15:37

lol at Justine 'make.sure.you.are.fucking.funny' in manner of dentist in Marathon Man.

VivaLeBeaver · 26/04/2011 16:36

Penguin icon would have been v.v. appropriate for this thread.

VinegarTits · 26/04/2011 16:42

i think a [deadpan] smiley would have been useful in the op

MardyBra · 26/04/2011 16:56

Just spotted that some posters have their:
"Message withdrawn at poster's request".

We shall just have to assume those are the most fawning ones then.

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 26/04/2011 17:02

Oh dear, Mardy Grin

Mine was pretty fawning and it's still there [no shame emoticon]

southeastastra · 26/04/2011 17:02

mine wasn't fawning at all, just don't want to be the butt of anyone's jokes

transferbalance · 26/04/2011 17:04

FolornHope · 26/04/2011 17:05

"I am off to the caravan in Anglesey tomorrow and will be watching the wedding from Treaddur Bay. Don't you just love Anglesey? Especially now there is a Waitrose."

arfarf

and this one

"Your highness (get used to it )"

FolornHope · 26/04/2011 17:06

off to the caravan

lolol

MardyBra · 26/04/2011 17:09

Aw - don't make it worse Folorn. I even stopped myself from asking if she was worried that Prince Philip might get her bumped off like the MIL allegedly was in the spirit of the occasion.

OeufaBrain · 26/04/2011 17:12

all I really care about is what piece of royal shit merchandise has been won and by whom?

MardyBra · 26/04/2011 17:13

I guess this isn't going to make it to Discussion of the Day.

GitAwfMayLend · 26/04/2011 17:21

I am leaving my posts up there for you all to point and laugh at.

At one point I GENUINELY BELIEVED THAT KM WOULD READ MY POSTS AND WOULD BE TOUCHED

This turned into KM being my friend.

It's like when I wrote to Caitlin Moran when she first started at the Times when she was 16 and I fully believed that she would write back and we would have a lifelong correspondence.

You don't get that kind of excitement with Sheherezade Goldsmith webchats.

GitAwfMayLend · 26/04/2011 17:22

lol at caravans in Alglesea folorn you cow

LadyCornyOfSilk · 26/04/2011 17:24

forlorn was inches away from asking KM a question about eyeliner.
