Hello. We're extremely honoured (and just a little bit over-excited) to announce that royal bride-to-be Kate Middleton is coming to MNHQ for a webchat today at 1pm.

A while back, we put in a formal request for Kate to take part in a Mumsnet webchat (nothing ventured, nothing gained and all that) but, truth be told, we weren't that hopeful, given her other pressing engagements this week.

But then, this morning, the Buckingham Palace Press Office rang to say Miss Middleton had some time this lunchtime between her last dress fitting and her first palace-balcony-etiquette briefing - and would be delighted to drop in and chat to Mumsnetters. Apparently, she's been lurking on Mumsnet quite a lot recently and has been finding the Bridezilla discussions a real eye opener. Shock

So, quick, please post your (suitably deferential) questions for Miss Middleton here - and join us for our very first royal webchat at 1pm.

Hi Kate and congrats for Friday, I won't be able to watch as we are travelling however hope everything goes to plan. I'm sure even royal weddings have a hiccup or two but don't worry about any if it!

My question us how do you feel about all the distant relatives who have been all over the tv recently? I do have to say I really liked your great aunt who was on the other day.

My 4yo daughter would like to know if you will be allowed to keep your unicorn in the palace (all princesses have unicorns).

Also, do you have to do curtsy practice?

I think MNHQ are running around frantically tidying up.

It must be worse than having the mother in law come round at short notice Grin

Hi Kate/ Catherine - best of luck for Friday!!

Just wondered - the papers reported a month or so back that you had lunch with Camilla and that she'd said to you - "If I could give you just one piece of advice....' but that the eavesdroppers couldn't hear what that piece of advice was. Obviously this is a very nosy question, but what was the advice she gave you?

If you'd prefer not to say, can you say more generally what advice the more experienced royals have given you about how to handle your extraordinary new life?

Hi Kate,

I hope all goes well. We are flying in from singapore to celebrate with my whole family! PLease ignore any bad publicity - you seem like the kind of girl that would try to rise above it! I hope you have a wonderful marriage together and that you get some private time. We can't wait to see the dress. Good luck on the day and have a great evening! I hope your honeymoon is long enough! (can't quite believe you have been on here) :)

ps. never go to sleep on an argument.

Ok then. Another trivial one as I cross- posted with someone.

Kate, how will you be spending thursday night?
Will it be the traditional DVD amd takeaway with friends, covered in face packs and Aussie 3 minutes miracle?

All the best for a fantastic day- my 3 girls will be glued to the event, ChaoticBoy - not so much.

Hello! Have you seen the Knit Your Own Royal Wedding book - and how does it feel to be a knitted character? Do you think they've got the dress right? My mum's knitted nearly the whole balcony's worth now but decided to go freestyle on The Dress, so if the real thing involves a lot of silvery wool, she's a visionary.

Wow - seriously?

Catherine - everything I have read about you in the past few weeks points to what a poised, strong young woman you are. I hope that you can maintain that strength and poise in the face of the media scrutiny you will be living under.

I am off to the caravan in Anglesey tomorrow and will be watching the wedding from Treaddur Bay. Don't you just love Anglesey? Especially now there is a Waitrose.

MNHQ - I still don't really believe you.

What do you think of your grand-MIL? Are you ever allowed to disagree with her? What if she tries to feed your future heir to the throne chocolate buttons at 4 months?!

What do you think of some of the more questionable souvenirs that have been manufactured? (i.e Fridges, toilet seats, condoms) Do you laugh them off , or are the sillier items hurtful/offensive to you?

Wishing you all the best for a long and happy life together!

With the financial climate in the UK, cuts here there and everywhere, people losing their jobs etc, do you think it would have been more appropriate to have a small wedding? Assuming your parents are not paying for it of course.

Wow! Very impressive! One question for Kate:

How come you started looking into Mumsnet? Are you thinking about starting a family soon? ;)

Hi Catherine. If you weren't having your reception at Buckingham Palace where would you have it?
Have an amazing day!
