I would inform him that I'd be available to release and resecure my land 'No earlier than x and no later than y' in whatever window suits you OP i.e. a 10, 15, 20, 30 minute period, whatever you feel inclined to offer with the later time a good 10 minutes before you needed to be busy. A vehicle parked on private land can be towed away a long as a written warning with towing date is placed on the vehicle. The OP could have placed a warning giving 24 hours notice and posted that warning picture on the Facebook post (as the car owner was on that post), if he then didn't collect the car the owner is legally permitted to remove the car

@HalzTangz Is is that bloody simple? So at whatever point I could just message him and say that I am now giving him 24 hour notice that his car will be towed? Do I have to tow the car anywhere in particular or can I just abandon it the other side of the road? What happens if it gets damaged?

You'd think the bloody council man would have told me that rather than make me do this stupid give him 24 hours and then we'll consider it abandoned and then start the proceedings to move it malarkey!

He will either arrange to collect dead on the 24 hours, or will be in contact at the 24 hour point. At which, I fully expect OP's phone to be engaged while she arranges the removal of said vehicle.

I'll bet he's connected in some way, possibly vague,to this ex footballer.
