@Mummylovesmonkeys

You don't think the footballer could be Harry Kane? He's not turned up for training today, and didn't turn up for Covid tests yesterday,

Perhaps his Ranger has been locked up by an unreasonable female farmer?

That’d be hilarious. Can’t believe he hasn’t picked it up yet!
newnortherner111 · 03/08/2021 14:40

If it were a footballer, would not be a Spurs player.

Probably a Man U one other than Marcus Rashford, there are plenty with entitled behaviour over many years.

Doubt it is either, but still wish the law could be changed.

Terhou · 03/08/2021 14:43

@JellyBabiesFan

You did not want them on your land to begin with so why are you annoyed you are not legally allowed to clamp them? Yes you were right to lock them in to teach them a lesson but surely you are now wasting your own time by dragging this on. Open the gate and get on with your life.
How does it waste OP's time other than the minimal amount necessary to organise a time when the car driver can collect?
Terhou · 03/08/2021 14:43
@JellyBabiesFan Exactly. I can't believe people are actually so bored as to invest so much time in this.

It reminds me of children's tactics in primary schools and I cannot believe adults will willing act like this and then get glee from "mumsnet excitement".

It's really sad.
And yet you've invested at least some time in reading posts and commenting yourself ...

Terhou · 03/08/2021 14:56

@Firstbornunicorn

I think the CF will send a solicitor’s letter pretty soon. He send the type.
Oh, I do hope so. OP simply has to respond pointing out that she has given various opportunities to collect and has been waiting for the CF to contact her, and CF will be at least a couple of hundred pounds down and looking even more stupid.
BlueEyesWhiteDragon · 03/08/2021 14:56

Bloomin heck. What the hell have you all been posting about this morning! My junk box is filled with MN notifications!

I've messaged stupid parking man to say.

You need to make arrangements to collect your vehicle within the next 24 hours. This needs to be a mutually convenient time so that I can be there to unlock the gates and lock them immediately after your exit. After 24 hours I will be taking legal action to remove the vehicle drive into it with an 8 tonne digger and post you the leftovers

Good message!!!

LouLou789 · 03/08/2021 14:59

That’s fantastic, OP!

cupcakedaisy · 03/08/2021 15:01

Excellent message, hopefully 'entitled prick' will get up his courage and apologise!!

friendlycat · 03/08/2021 15:01

Well done OP.

As an aside I reckon the CF is still playing Monopoly with Steve McManaman - you know how long that game lasts!

ilovesushi · 03/08/2021 15:02

Hurray for op!

Yesitsbess · 03/08/2021 15:04

I'd just got back for lunch in time to catch up on the thread (a lot of Sister Mary Funsponge today!) but now a lovely OP update before I go back to work to fight a hedge.

Nice work OP. It's clear, it's to the point and you sound wellard Smile

Emilyontmoor · 03/08/2021 15:05

That will rattle his cage, unfortunately I think he is now a little boy stamping his foot and he will ignore it until the last possible moment. Like when you tell a child that if they don’t stop misbehaving by the time you count to 3 you will take their toys away and you end up at 2 and three quarters.

OctupleGloucester · 03/08/2021 15:06

I've been lurking since the first thread and can't stand it anymore.
I live thousands of miles from any carvery, damn. I'd have a go at making Yorkshire Pudding if I'd have a go at making anything besides cheese toast.

OP, you missed a great chance to get a pic of DB draped on the twatmobile to be made into a poster for marketing purposes.

From thread 3, for those who haven't read all the posts, the knobchariot is on a forest access road, so she has the option below, which is the one I'd be going for at this stage, especially if they would do it promptly. It would be a bit less dramatic for us, but no doubt a satisfying victory for the forces of anti-CFery.
OP
Spoke to my friendly neighbourhood FC ranger. They aren't planning on being up this neck of the woods (pun intended) any time soon. Hes happy get it towed out the way if I want and it may or may not end up in the large pothole on the other side of the road.

I also remember the horse thread and was fascinated to learn about the track system. I was also amazed by the patience and indulgence OP showed to the previous owner. (not to be confused with onus)

oh, and Guess Who with "Sorry, Who?" Grin Grin Grin

KnightandDay · 03/08/2021 15:07

Good message OP, hope CF pays heed.

MaMelon · 03/08/2021 15:07

Perfect! Although I suspect he’ll push the mutually convenient time - ie if you say 6pm he’ll appear at 6.20.
MotherofTerriers · 03/08/2021 15:08

Ha - if it's bar billiards with Bremner (Kevin not Billy) then I win because I've actually done that

You've told him to contact you and collect within 24 hours, so he'll wait at least 25 before he gets in touch

SunShinesBrightly · 03/08/2021 15:14

Bloomin heck. What the hell have you all been posting about this morning! My junk box is filled with MN notifications!

I think most people are just having a chat - passing the time until there is some news! Grin

Emilyontmoor · 03/08/2021 15:15

You've told him to contact you and collect within 24 hours, so he'll wait at least 25 before he gets in touch Exactly!

SunShinesBrightly · 03/08/2021 15:15

BTW, if you want him there at 6pm, tell him 5.30. He won't be on time!

Emilyontmoor · 03/08/2021 15:16

Because if he gets in touch within 24 hours his penis and ego will shrink to an unbearable black hole of insecurity …..

Mountainpika · 03/08/2021 15:16

Too late!
Car will have been towed and OP will be having a carvery.

ilovesushi · 03/08/2021 15:17

I missed the horse thread, but if it's as good a read as this, I'm happy.

idontunderstandbananas · 03/08/2021 15:19

I agree with if you say 6 he'll turn up at 6:20 or 8:20 or 10:50. Maybe OP offer him a time frame such as 'I can be available between 6-7pm so you would need to arrive no later than 6:45 as I will need to leave promptly at 7pm. If you're not here to collect by 6:45 I will be taking legal action to remove the Ranger.' He'll push it and arrive at 6:45:59 but hopefully he'll arrive and this can all be sorted within 24 hours.

atlastifoundit · 03/08/2021 15:21

Good message OP, although you could have added:

"It's your own time you're wasting"
