Stuff you think must happen to other people - but can't risk asking?

Anyone else have stuff happen to you that must happen to others.

But you can't really ask because what if they say "NO! How weird!" And then you can never talk to that person again.

So I'm bringing it to the anonymity of Mumsnet.

I'd love to hear other peoples. And will start off.

• whenever I wash my hair in the shower (I have long hair) loose hairs wash down my back and end up in my bum crack. End of my shower I have to check there's no hair left.

@AnotherSoddingWalk I get the same too. It has been a huge source of shame for me too. Same if you hear of sex crimes, paedophiles etc. Then once you’ve thought about it you can’t stop and think ‘if I’m thinking about this maybe I’m capable of it, but I really definitely don’t want to do it or even think about it because it’s horrific’. And round and round it goes. Can be a sign of OCD. Also I think a lot of it can be blamed on the hyper sexualised society we grew up in (was a teen in 00s)

Just remembered:

This happens to me! I thought I was the only one. I have to be careful to eat it slowly and not gulp it down or it hurts horribly.

This thread really has eased my mind. For decades I've thought I must be some kind of evil, twisted person to get that sensation. I always felt so disgusted with myself, even though I knew I wasn't actually 'turned on' by what I was seeing/reading. It's such a relief to know it happens to others.

I'd love to know what the biological/scientific explanation for it is.

Don't know if I'm alone, but pre dc, I could hardly touch my belly button. Weirdest sensation (not good) in my ladies bits. Not being prudish saying ladies bits but can't get any closer, just a sensation down there (stopped after having dc). Dd has the same, she has a navel phobia because of this.

Vibrating fanny was mentioned a few pages in I think. It happens to me but I've not paid attention to when - there was at least one other poster too. You are not alone amigo. I'm the same with squirting/ejaculating. If I overthink about the mess once I feel it's going to happen then everything stops. However if I'm too far in the moment before I realise then it's happening, there's no controlling it nor the amount that comes out and dh is changing the sheets/cleaning the floor/wherever afterwards :)
