What's kicking off on yours this evening? A police car has just been spotted by someone who has eagerly reported it on our page- everyone is now going nuts in the comments but secretly I know for a fact they're all really nosey and want to know if the kids have set fire to the bus stop again.

Last week the same kids were all named and shamed in some CCTV footage from someone's doorbell cam and it all became hugely messy.

A mum has also been selling Christmas glasses that look like they're full of gin but are actually candles. You can have your name written on for an extra fiver.

@plinkplinkfizzer - technically no fetch at the park with your dog, there are dedicated fenced off dog parks for this.
In reality I take my dog to the much nicer local park for fetch and then await the passive aggressive ‘oh, I didn’t know x park had an off leash dog area!’ posts on the Facebook group.

LolalovesLondon · 28/10/2020 06:16

Oh! The 3 new houses built on a section of land owned by a homeowner has caused upset and anger for MONTHS.
They will be a drain on resources, Traffic will never be the same, the utilities companies are closing the road to do work... we don’t need more houses...what were the council thinking allowing it?
The irony. Many people complaining live on the MASSIVE new build estate a few steps away from these new houses.

Ginger1982 · 28/10/2020 06:57

'ANOTHER accident on the back road!'
There are always loads on posts on ours about speeding.

This may be outing but we have two local pages, one which is technically 'unrestricted.' 😆

Charleyhorses · 28/10/2020 06:57

Oh we have this! 200 houses being built. Schools won't cope, doctors will be overrun and so on. 70 of them are going to be affordable homes which clearly isn't a good thing.

FatimaMunchy · 28/10/2020 07:19

Elderly people have been spotted in Wickes, B and Q and M&S. One elderly couple were even browsing kitchens 😱 None of these shops are in our town so the poster has travelled at least 13 miles themselves but they believe the old and vulnerable should stay at home. The chances that these people live in our town are slim, and the chances that they will read the post even slimmer!
Someone helpfully posts the Covid19 figures for our area daily. Our area is mainly rural but incorporates one biggish town, so posting figures for the area is relatively meaningless, but they obviously think they are doing a public service.
More black sacks have been dumped by the bins in a private cul de sac and 'the authorities' have been informed.

iloveredwine · 30/10/2020 08:31

Seems to be all about pumpkin trails on mine and whether or not people are decorating houses for Halloween and if they are giving out sweets or not.

Lost parcels with photos of random doors that is not the person waiting for the parcel.

Fireworks and pictures of scared animals.

Pictures of sunsets and 🌳

FatimaMunchy · 30/10/2020 09:02

Pictures of sunsets seem to be popular!

Mrsjayy · 30/10/2020 09:15

Yes Sunsets/ rises with far to many filters on them !

HunterHearstHelmsley · 30/10/2020 09:19

Yellow lines have been put in a section of road as requested by residents. Residents of the neighbouring road are furious they weren't consulted as they prefer to park there rather than their own road. Its great.

@Laufeythejust

Someone spray painted a giant cock and balls on the side of tescos. Lots of people commenting, someone suggested to tell the kids it’s a unicorn and one person clarified that it definitely wasn’t a banksy.
For the first time in 16 yrs being on mn I'm actually crying with laughter at this post

Please mn,, can this thread be put into classics, it's sooo funny

FatimaMunchy · 30/10/2020 10:01

A cock and ball story,?
Sorry, couldn't resist.

Callardandbowser · 30/10/2020 10:24

Not Facebook but watsapp set up by a lady who picks people up on their spelling and ego can’t spell herself! Cringe.

Callardandbowser · 30/10/2020 10:26

*she

iloveredwine · 01/11/2020 13:47

Fireworks again and now eggs been thrown last night. Queues outside tesco and sainsburys and no loo rolls or flour on shelves again.

DoTheNextRightThing · 01/11/2020 13:53

A bunch of kids smashed the pumpkins from someone's doorstep.

FatimaMunchy · 01/11/2020 14:00

People had to take their Trick or Treat sweets in because hooligans were pinching them. Followed by 'wouldn't have happened in my day' posts. No, in your day if people didn't give you a great you damaged their property, but you have conveniently forgotten that.

FatimaMunchy · 01/11/2020 14:00

Treat not great.

nancyclancy123 · 01/11/2020 14:40

In my sleepy little village it’s;

.‘Teens’ destroying Halloween displays outside people’s homes. Apparently it’s what’s going to happen now that city kids are moving into villages????
.Fireworks with no warnings?
.A car parked in the high street has been scratched. Someone pointed out that a lorry was driving too fast through the local town (3 miles away) so it must’ve been the lorry that scratched it??

My favourite is a complaint of a green wheelie bin full of books for villagers to share and swap, that was put out on bin day has been emptied by the bin lorry Grin

zaphodbeeble · 01/11/2020 14:42

We have a Banksy wannabe too, been nicknamed ‘Wanksy’

LoseLooseLucy · 01/11/2020 15:02

Arseholes nicking the sweets put out for the trick or treaters. Some knob has actually stolen the decorations from one lady’s house.

SoddingWeddings · 01/11/2020 17:43

A car was keyed - the town is going to the dogs, obv. (Its badly damaged tbf, but not much of a reflection on a town of 20,000 in my view).
Bitching about panic buyers has begun again.
Asking if there are queues at xxx shops, where still has toilet roll and pasta 🙄
Can anyone fit me in for nails at 1042am on Wednesday?

MillieVanilla · 01/11/2020 18:43

Mostly Halloween here

A house had a firework stuck though the letterbox causing a considerable amount of damage and upset
Lady who organised Halloween house hunt is devastated by all the horrid stuff that has happened by morons who didn't get it's a house hunt with no sweets (despite signs on all the houses) so everyone is telling her not to worry and reassuring no one blamed her
The police are getting a bollocking for being entirely absent as usual, with calls for council tax police bit to be reduced next year as they are bloody ignorant of our bit of town and as a result burglary is up.
Lots of rude people knocking on doors (I actually got called a c word last night. The irony of the fact it was just as Boris chucked us back into lockdown was not lost)
Oh and the other side of the county MP who voted no on free School meals is a hot topic even though our Labour MP voted for. There are plans afoot for pickets at his office but considering he is never there (too busy arselicking Boris) makes the whole idea daft as they will be picketing a locked and shuttered building.
Lockdown is right/lockdown is wrong
And people asking a lady who put a Thought for the Day chalkboard up in her window is she going to do it again due to the new lockdown.
Oh and schools should be shut/don't shut the schools for god's sake.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 01/11/2020 18:56

Well ours has been ablaze this week as there was a memorial firework display (unorganised) on the public space. Houses were hit, the young men involved were “feckless, fucking, thieving, drug dealing ne’erdowells” (quote courtesy of George from down the road), the police were “chocolate tea pots” (George again). Said ne’erdowells responded that it was for their mate And it was organised.(but not licensed). Pets and kids were traumatised, (not talking a few sparklers, they were serious industrial ones). Crap left everywhere. Still going on.

A bunch of kids smashed the pumpkins from someone's doorstep

We have this too. The poster is asking if anyone in the area has CCTV Grin
