To realise I like old lady things

I bought some Yardley perfume for my grandmother and haven't been able to give it to her due to lockdown. I really like it and am going to buy some for me.
Also, I've started looking at those pointy cross-your hearty bras and thinking they look comfy and I quite like the shape, without having to cope with underwires (which I hate).
I'm 37, not 73. Are there any other old lady things I might like please?

@MsRinky Lovely story about Nellie. My grandmother was usually called Nellie, though she was really Mary Ellen. She had a biscuit sewing tin and button tin, everything was recycled in those days!

The Eau de Cologne looks lovely - I recall this from when little but for the life of me can't remember what exactly the smell is - how would you describe it please ?

It's my birthday very soon - I have started a mini list of gift ideas from this thread and am excited about receiving hopefully a few of them

BeaLola the smell is very fresh and uplifting. Not sure where I know it from but it seems very familiar. Maybe a Granny or Aunt?

SirVix Ref. pears soap, not being 'aged' . If you unwrap it (this works for any soap) leave it in a cupboard or drawer for a few months and it dries out, making it ready for use!

Faith in Nature lavender shampoo and conditioner are gorgeous. I buy massive containers of them, which works out very economical!

Have just ironed my tablecloths, kneaded my bread and watered the plants....

ppeatfruit thank you for that tip, I will try it. I am also sad that the scent has changed though. I did buy some old bars off ebay a few years ago, just to smell my Grannie’s cloakroom smell ! They were £6 a bar then, and are now £36 a bar. 😢 I have one in a drawer.. !

The new bars are also thinner, which doesn’t help with longevity either.

I am an old lady, currently very pleased with the dishcloths I have just knitted...

I have just bought 4711 in a cool stick. I can’t remember how I know the scent but it’s so, so familiar.

Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino is very much like 4711, even the colour of the bottle

Is the stick a solid perfume version?
