Can you please help me work out what animal I just saw

In the UK driving down the narrow country roads when this animal ran/waddled across the road.

It was bigger than a cat, smaller than a badger, slower than a fox.

It kind of waddled, was quite round and had no tail.

I really can't think what kind of mammal it was.

Any ideas?

I looked up albino badgers because albinos are usually pure white and the photo looked yellow. It could be the light on the photo, but still...

And it turns out that there are pure albino badgers, which are indeed pure white and the eyes must be red, because they lack any pigment.

But there are also erythristic badgers, which don't have the black pigment but have a sandy colour, as in the photo shown earlier.
If this is what you saw, it's not albino, but basically a blonde badger.

Just adding that there's something called scientific illustration and you'd be great at it. Grin

Morning, everyone. We're going to move this handsome beast and his entourage over to Classics now.

GinnyStrupac · 12/02/2020 10:15

Good decision.

I just heard that someone has bought the Op's artwork for £23 million.

Cheap at twice the price!

JemIsMyNameNooneElseIsTheSame · 12/02/2020 10:28

It can only be that Witch is jealous of OP's artistic genius.

GinnyStrupac · 12/02/2020 18:01

OP, you can have my Brownie Wildlife Explorer badge - how about that?
