What can I buy from Argos for £4ish to win a bet?

I have £4 worth of Argos vouchers that run out on Friday.
Dh tried to throw them in the bin this morning, saying that I wouldn’t be able to get anything worth having with them without adding a lot on.
I need to win this bet as I lost the last one and haven’t lived it down.

I thought I’d cracked it when I found a pair of slippers but you have to pay online for TU clothes and the vouchers can’t be used online.
We have a 2 year old so stocking filers are a possibility. Please hit me with your best suggestions so that I can wipe the smug look off dh’s face. Grin

Fredathetortoise I haven’t yet. I have until Friday and am hoping that the raven will be back in stock so I don’t want to make two trips to Argos.
I have been trying to engineer a situation in which a raven would be needed. I have failed so far.

Dh asked me where my ‘tat’ was when he got home. I’ve just told him that I am pkaying the long game and he will rue the day he mocked me. He has gone to bed chuckling to himself. Git!

For obvious reasons you NEED to get the raven. And call him John Grin

I think you can donate the remaining sum to charity x

civicxx · 24/10/2018 01:23

Please buy a Raven!

Eliza9917 · 24/10/2018 06:29

@TriciaMcmlMillan Raven ordered. Likely to call him Steve. That's generally what we call things in our house.

It's Dave in our house Grin

TriciaMcMillan · 24/10/2018 07:42

@Eliza9917 haha Dave runs a close second! We plan to call our next cat Dave. Grin

Rowena has just been collected and enjoying the view in the car park.

Even better is that I found in the bottom on my purse an Argos voucher to purchase her with!

Gosh @CravingRaven Rowena looks incredibly dignified and elegant.
(also your weather is significantly better than mine!)

Hoping I can collect Mortimer tonight....

SoupDragon · 24/10/2018 09:59

Rowena is looking good :)

DD has literally just walked into the living room, looked at Colin/
Russell and said "I'm not even going to ask"

I always wanted a tortoise and was going to call it Napoleon. Then I nearly got a bearded dragon and was going to call it Pedro Grin

The raven is now following me around mumsnet! Along with a weird skull thing and some kids toys. That tardis would look great next to the raven on my shelf.

My cat knocked Balthazar off his perch and attacked him! Luckily poor Balthazar doesn't seem too traumatised by this incident.

AlphaBravo · 24/10/2018 14:26

I'm going to have to buy a raven now aren't I?

LonelyOversharer · 24/10/2018 14:31

Ronald Raven is in situ. I offered dd1 £100 if she could guess what I was picking up in Argos. She conceded that she would never have got it right. She already thinks I'm bonkers, so no loss there.

He's lovely actually. Gotta love a flocked ornament. Going to hunt out some better eyes for him though.

Flynnshine · 24/10/2018 14:35

I haven't read the whole thread - Sorry!
I'm still laughing at the Raven on page 1... excellent idea to dress it up for the changing seasons and different holidays... the possibilities are just endless! I love it.

flamingofridays · 24/10/2018 15:35

argos are going to wonder what on earth is going on and why their raven is so popular!

Storm4star · 24/10/2018 16:27

Slightly embarrassed to go into Argos and ask for my reserved raven. But saw this lad on the Halloween shelves in Sainsbury's (with Argos in it). £4. Is it him?

I have a Raven from a couple of years ago called Poe.

Can I join in?

In fact, does it mean I win most-ravenny if I admit I'm directing a Halloween show for my am dram group currently which includes 'The Raven' (and my Raven, and a girl dressed up as The Raven Queen....) (Especially if I promise we're giving all the money to the Stroke Association)??

LonelyOversharer · 24/10/2018 17:06

rock that is a raven baby! Ronald is easily twice the size. Now I want a raven baby too. I just smiled broadly at the assistant teenager who looked blankly at me when I picked up my reservation.

Storm4star · 24/10/2018 17:12

My DD picked up mine Grin she was going into town anyway.
She asked me whether it was going to be a Halloween decoration or an all year round decoration. I said probably all year round!

JustLurkingAway · 24/10/2018 17:36

Somehow after reading this thread I've been convinced to order my very own Raven. He shall be collected tomorrow
