My first parking thread!

So, I'm off work on annual leave with DS. Just been out for the day and just got home to find that it's school run time. We live near a first school so obviously the streets are lined with cars. Someone has parked on my drive and someone else is blocking them in!
Now I imagine that as no one is ever here during the day, these people have been doing this for some time (we've only lived here 3 months and the house was emtpy for a year before that). I've squeezed in beside the car blocking the drive so they won't be able to get our (remember the scene from Friends with Ross's sports car?) and therefore the car on my drive can't escape either.
AIBU to just sit here with a cuppa and watch this all play out while pretending not to be in?

starting to feel spooky now 4pm student is late - he's never late Hmm

JobHunting4 · 15/06/2018 16:08

Next door won't move their car and spoil the fun op? Have you given them the nudge to leave cf 1 and 2 blocked in?

Tartyflette · 15/06/2018 16:08

Get undressed, hop in and out of the shower quickly so when they knock you can answer the door all wet and swathed in towels so they'll have to wait until you dry and dress yourself (v-e-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y).

SharronNeedles · 15/06/2018 16:08

They're writing notes from the kids school books!! I think they're going to knock on each door/post things through letter boxes!!

Tartyflette · 15/06/2018 16:09

Excellent! How long has it been now?
(wish I could see the diagram)

Canwejustrelaxnow · 15/06/2018 16:09

They're so entitled they haven't even thought to knock on your door!

StormTreader · 15/06/2018 16:09

This is amazing!

Ginosaji · 15/06/2018 16:09

Am so glad I didn't go in for overtime this afternoon!! Never had a live one before 😁

Spanglyprincess1 · 15/06/2018 16:09

I cant actually believe they parked on your drive!!! Nail behind the tyre job.
Your way nicer than me op I'd have told them it was me and I wasn't moving unless they paid a release fee. How cheeky!!

GlassSuppers · 15/06/2018 16:10

Place marking. I'm loving this Grin

HoneyBadgerApparently · 15/06/2018 16:10

Is it worth getting pics of them on and blocking your drive to give to the school also?

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 15/06/2018 16:10

“The pink car, you say? Mine? Why no, I can’t even drive!” Tinkle tinkle.

MadMags · 15/06/2018 16:10

Like, they’re in your fucking drive???

It hasn’t dawned on them that it might be you? Don’t move!

Aprilshouldhavebeenmyname · 15/06/2018 16:10

Sneak down and retrieve a note if you get one. Post it here!

Nanasueathome · 15/06/2018 16:10

I never use the app but I’ve just had a look
The diagram is there

StaplesCorner · 15/06/2018 16:10

pity you don't check your letterbox very often eh OP? Do you need to move the car later though, have you got things to do or do you have a partner who will come home and -spoil things want to help them out?!

LandOfOddSocks · 15/06/2018 16:11

This is fantastic OP.

"Oh sorry, that's DH's car. He has the keys with him and won't be home again until 8pm."

birdladyfromhomealone · 15/06/2018 16:11

Are they thick? Does it not for once cross their mind being blocked could be because they are blocking your drive????

itstimeforanamechange · 15/06/2018 16:11

This is just so funny and you are getting revenge for those of us who live near schools - everywhere (not that I have ever caught anyone parking ON my drive).

siwel123 · 15/06/2018 16:11

Call the police and say I parked on someone else's property and now I can't get out. Lovely Grin

MadMags · 15/06/2018 16:11

I wouldn’t confront them at all! I just wouldn’t answer the door, not for god nor man. Nor woman!

SillyMoomin · 15/06/2018 16:11

Cant someone screenshot the diagram and post as a photo? Laptop is showing zilch!

DiagramFan · 15/06/2018 16:11
