My first parking thread!

So, I'm off work on annual leave with DS. Just been out for the day and just got home to find that it's school run time. We live near a first school so obviously the streets are lined with cars. Someone has parked on my drive and someone else is blocking them in!
Now I imagine that as no one is ever here during the day, these people have been doing this for some time (we've only lived here 3 months and the house was emtpy for a year before that). I've squeezed in beside the car blocking the drive so they won't be able to get our (remember the scene from Friends with Ross's sports car?) and therefore the car on my drive can't escape either.
AIBU to just sit here with a cuppa and watch this all play out while pretending not to be in?

I reckon this thread has been spotted by CF 1 or CF 2 and they are too embarrassed to come...Grin

Apologies to the op for suggesting this was a wind-up. 💐💐😔 Very pleased to hear the update. X

OldHag1 · 16/06/2018 11:40

Missingstreetlife · 16/06/2018 11:45

What happened? Please tell us the outcome!

Pumpkinbell · 16/06/2018 18:07

Let them suffer. I once parked to over the shared entrance to the back of mine and a neighbours house. Instead of them coming knocking they called the police who for a change turned up instantly. Live in a town centre but was only in house 10 mins max!! Bringing sick husband some lunch!!!

grownuphippychic · 16/06/2018 18:07

Oh sorry, ignore last post, I've now seen the update! Great btw!

Mummyof0ne · 16/06/2018 18:48

Hello,

We've had a HUGE number of reports asking if we can please, please, please move this thread over to Classics.

So we're doing just that. Smile

Hope that's okay with you, SharronNeedles.

We're putting a link to the new thread here too - My second parking thread.

chocolateworshipper · 16/06/2018 19:32

Yay!!!

SneakyGremlins · 16/06/2018 19:37

I'm part of history Grin

Marmablade · 16/06/2018 19:40

A well deserved classic. Classily played. The CFs won't mess with you again and you've got the moral high ground. No one lost their shit.

Brilliant!

Cagliostro · 16/06/2018 19:51

I’m not normally interested in parking threads (as a non driver) but this is fucking ACE.

Can’t believe someone parked ON your drive FFS

LandOfOddSocks · 16/06/2018 19:56

So glad this made it into classics!

skodadoda · 16/06/2018 20:56

Thank you for such an entertaining evening OP and all other comments; it's kept me entertained while the football's on.

Mummyoflittledragon · 17/06/2018 05:01

Great thread Sharron. Thanks for sharing your tale of cheeky fuckery. Grin

It's really lucky this didn't end up with an ugly confrontation. The CFs have behaved very irrationally. I understand why they might have thought they would have got away with parking on the OPs drive but their subsequent behaviour is so strange. It doesn't make any sense.
