My first parking thread!

So, I'm off work on annual leave with DS. Just been out for the day and just got home to find that it's school run time. We live near a first school so obviously the streets are lined with cars. Someone has parked on my drive and someone else is blocking them in!
Now I imagine that as no one is ever here during the day, these people have been doing this for some time (we've only lived here 3 months and the house was emtpy for a year before that). I've squeezed in beside the car blocking the drive so they won't be able to get our (remember the scene from Friends with Ross's sports car?) and therefore the car on my drive can't escape either.
AIBU to just sit here with a cuppa and watch this all play out while pretending not to be in?

Is it actually legal to block someone in, even if they ARE parked on your drive though?

glitterbiscuits · 15/06/2018 16:13

Well do me OP.

Does your house look occupied now as it was empty before?
I'm assuming drive parker and blocker are in cahoots.

birdladyfromhomealone · 15/06/2018 16:13

Where is the app where the pictures are?

glitterbiscuits · 15/06/2018 16:13

Wee done OP

Ginosaji · 15/06/2018 16:13

I reckon they may give it till bout 4.30 before they really start shitting themselves 😂

mummmy2017 · 15/06/2018 16:13

You will have to own up as monday they will do the same and see your car is the same one.. you need to buy some chain for your drive

Helloisitteaurlookingfor · 15/06/2018 16:13

You need to quickly down a few glasses of wine so you're too over the limit to drive your car and need to wait until you sober up to be able to Grin

I don't think the OP has blocked them in, I think the other parent has done that!

well 4.13 has come and gone, can't believe they still haven't tagged it's your car.

Foxsox · 15/06/2018 16:14

This is brilliant

BewareOfDragons · 15/06/2018 16:14

Entitled cows.

Serves them right.

I'd have a right go at them, too, when you finally do go out to see what they have to say for themselves. Make sure you've taken pictures of their cars and reg plates so you can also tell the school that they did this and then had the audacity to get angry with you over it. Humiliate the crap out of them at the school

LandOfOddSocks · 15/06/2018 16:14

Or penguin bollards @mummmy2017

siwel123 · 15/06/2018 16:14

What did the note say?

LongtimeLurker29 · 15/06/2018 16:14

Cheeky b*stards!

Aprilshouldhavebeenmyname · 15/06/2018 16:14

Need to see the note!!!!

SixFeetUnder · 15/06/2018 16:15

The tone of that note shows that they clearly think they're the wronged party here!

thenightsky · 15/06/2018 16:15

Don't tell them its not your pink car!! They might get you towed. Shock

peachgreen · 15/06/2018 16:15

Orange car I could just about forgive but green car is a CF of the highest order!
