My first parking thread!

So, I'm off work on annual leave with DS. Just been out for the day and just got home to find that it's school run time. We live near a first school so obviously the streets are lined with cars. Someone has parked on my drive and someone else is blocking them in!
Now I imagine that as no one is ever here during the day, these people have been doing this for some time (we've only lived here 3 months and the house was emtpy for a year before that). I've squeezed in beside the car blocking the drive so they won't be able to get our (remember the scene from Friends with Ross's sports car?) and therefore the car on my drive can't escape either.
AIBU to just sit here with a cuppa and watch this all play out while pretending not to be in?

But what happens if the car currently blocking the one on your drive moves? Then the driveway car will be able to move also?

Nanasueathome · 15/06/2018 15:44

Whereโ€™s the diagram?

Returnofthesmileybar · 15/06/2018 15:46

Don't worry about the diagram concentrate on the updates for now Grin

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 15/06/2018 15:46

Have a glass of wine ready and when they knock apologise that you can't move your car as you have been drinking
Oh, genius!

We need sneaky photos of the people throwing their hands up in the air with a WTF face or scratching their heads.

UrsulaPandress · 15/06/2018 15:48

Can't see your diagram..........

Ginosaji · 15/06/2018 15:48

Green car may just try and drive off by going over your garden if the orange car dont come back, unless you have a wall in the way?

JobHunting4 · 15/06/2018 15:49

Beyond excited to have caught a live parking thread, but I'm afraid everything else is on hold until you resolve this ๐Ÿ˜‚

Off to get some popcorn ๐Ÿฟ

Nanasueathome · 15/06/2018 15:49

Try to get the reg of each one...just in case they cause any damage to your property

GlitterRollerSkate · 15/06/2018 15:50

I can't see the diagram either

ALemonyPea · 15/06/2018 15:50

Very cheeky to just park on someones drive, they deserve to be a bit inconvenienced!

Gileswithachainsaw · 15/06/2018 15:51

SciFiFan2015 · 15/06/2018 15:54

Are you sure you're parked close enough to the car to prevent any manoeuvring? Take pictures (not to share) as evidence just in case and note reg plates. If you scribbled onto the photo you could take identifying details out..

SunnyTikka · 15/06/2018 15:54

OMG This is the highlight of my day! Can't wait for the update!

Bubblysqueak · 15/06/2018 15:54

hope you have a garden wall so they can't drive over your garden cf!!

LandOfOddSocks · 15/06/2018 15:54

Whoop! Go OP! Grin

Bubblysqueak · 15/06/2018 15:55

definetly take a reg details incase of damage.

ProudThrilledHappy · 15/06/2018 15:55

Ooh parking thread...

SharronNeedles · 15/06/2018 15:55

So they haven't knocked but I can hear them arguing between themselves. I'm guessing they think my car is just another parent from the school since the will never have seen it before. My garden is walled in so no chance of sneaking out. The suspense is killing me!
