Asked ds what she liked - gardening apparently. DS's class is kestrel class so aha I thought. A little kestrel ornament for the garden. Except it is not little. No no. It is a gigantic genetically modified kestrel. Maybe she can put it at the bottom of the garden so it looks smaller?!

I think he's great. I'd be extremely happy to be given him if I were a eacher. Much better than a mug or chocolates. I thought he was just a massive kestrel head in the first picture, and was a little doubtful but he looks brilliant in the later shots.

I love it, chocolates and stuff are lovely but Kestrel would definitely amuse me because I am really mature he would become my class mascot and there would probably be photos of him enjoying the summer holidays, class bear style.

Love it! I recently left my teaching post of 11 years and all my gifts were bee-themed (relevant). I was/am very emotional about leaving and the first gift I opened was a metal bee garden ornament which made me sob like a baby!
