The Beginning

The Middle

The end?

So... Long story short... There are horses, soon there should not be (I'm not good at summaries, they make me sound unreasonable).

We have a date! This Saturday! The horses should be taken away to pastures new, so we can roam the meadow in gingham dresses (dh looks good in a gingham dress) and we can have FuckYouFestivals to our heart's content.

There will be choirs and drums and bands and weapons and stackable goats and so much more!

Anyone who's read the threads knows I love a lurker. I can you see you out there. Go on, jump in while the thread's all new and shiny. You know you want to Wink

Thanks, I'll treasure it always Grin

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 12/02/2014 11:02

As you should. Hope you feel better soon.

This is no good at all...I am going away for a week and am going to miss the big horse send off...

IdaBlankenship · 12/02/2014 11:04

How big is this field Chris? Are we all going to turn up and just play a massive game of sardines?

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 12/02/2014 11:06

Icebeing, i really hope you are going to miss it :) you never know, you might get lucky and they'll still be here!

Ida, there will be standing room only. We'll all become very good friends very quickly Grin

Hello Chris! Thanks for the new thread. I see PedantMarina got to explode #2.

ThomasLynn if you can make it as far as Wiltshire I can give you a lift from there, but only if you don't bring boxing kangaroos. I don't think the dog will want to share the boot, also there needs to be room for the tents and the drum kit and two guitars and PA, and of course I'll be towing a trailer full of extremely posh Turdis's. And you'll have to accept a mixture of Nirvana (dtd2/bass player's choice) One Direction (dtd1/lead guitar and vocals choice) and Bon Bloody Jovi (dtd's best friend/drummer's choice). All the way...

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 12/02/2014 11:22

Alpaca, it was a beautiful explosion. There you are Thomas, no excuse now Grin

I am in tears laughing at your poem on the middle thread! Genius! Grin

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 12/02/2014 11:38

MissHobart Grin I'd forgotten about that. May go for a reread :)

I have spent the last 2 hours catching up (on top of the 2 last night!), must, get, dressed! Hmm

Chris - you are awesome! As are all the MNerrs! I hope you're getting on top of the PND, MN and these threads have certainly helped my MH! Grin

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 12/02/2014 12:10

MissHobart, I don't know about the PND, but I might end up with a UW sized ego Grin

In my latest counselling session she suggested that what I have isn't actually PND, it's stress induced anxiety and depression. As I mentioned at some point, the horse thing isn't the only thing going on at the moment, it's just the icing on the cake. She's optimistic that if I get angry and get through this time, that I will find myself miraculously improving :)

So you're all directly responsible for decreasing my stress and making my life better. I hope you all feel suitably ashamed Grin

Nanny Blush, there'll have to be a conclusion for that

delurking to ask if the date for FuckYouChrisFest has been settled yet?

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 12/02/2014 12:13

Catsrus, not yet. I'm most concerned about the weather. It's pretty grim here.

MissHobart · 12/02/2014 12:18

I've had depression since early childhood and with 12 months of weekly counselling over the last year have learnt to get angry! It really works! Only tested this week but I got angry and told the person involved rather than blaming myself/bottling it up, and it was great! cleared the air and I didn't feel metal afterwards! Grin

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 12/02/2014 12:52

That's brilliant MissH. I really hope I can learn to do the same.

OP posts:
Nanny0gg · 12/02/2014 13:23

Oh, it will conclude (successfully). It will!

AlpacaPicnic · 12/02/2014 13:31

Yay, found you all again!

So glad to read all the updates...

Am also glad to tell you that I am still experimenting with cheesecakes! Hope everyone who tried the Baileys and Toblerone enjoyed it. I did make a chocolate orange one a few weeks ago but I left it on the side to come to room temp and one or more of my cats had a good lick of it so I had to chuck it out

IdaBlankenship · 12/02/2014 13:44

That is Sad Alpaca. A cat-licked wasted cheesecake is one thing, but a cat-licked wasted chocolate orange cheesecake elevates it to a whole new level of tragedy

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 12/02/2014 14:18

Nanny, I like your certainty. With 100mph winds here at the moment I think the gods may be conspiring against me!

Alpaca :( I am so sorry for your loss. I agree wholeheartedly with Ida. If there's anything I can do, please don't hesitate to ask. Anything. Comfort the dcs, lick the bowl... Anything at all.

Grin

Skills . We are generally handy? Can we be dogsbodies?

Also I can poach 10 eggs in a pan at once. Is that a usefull skill?

DC also don't care if their socks are wet, so will still have their normal sunnyish dispositions regardless of weather. I have found that an ability to cope with wet socks is a must for camping in Wales.

LegoStillSavesMyLife · 12/02/2014 14:28

I can bring the relevant pan as well if that helps.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 12/02/2014 14:32

Wet socks? Poached eggs? Dogs bodies? You're just what we're looking for! I like the cut of your jib, Lego.

OP posts:
mistlethrush · 12/02/2014 14:32

Lego - my DS would prefer sandals as you don't have to wear socks in sandals so it doesn't matter if your feet get wet. In fact, he tends to not bother with coats or jumpers either....

The dog had a good go at DS's 'birthday' cheesecake (just left out to cut a slice for him) last year so I know exactly how she feels (except at least the dog did have a very good go at eating a large amount of it so it wasn't totally wasted Grin)

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 12/02/2014 14:35

Mistle, that's good out-of-the-box thinking. I always liked overflowing my wellies so they were full of water and it got all warm and squelchy. Probably shouldn't admit to that.

If anyone's cheesecake looks decidedly licked on the day, then it was definitely either a dog or a cat. Definitely. Blush
