The Beginning

The Middle

The end?

So... Long story short... There are horses, soon there should not be (I'm not good at summaries, they make me sound unreasonable).

We have a date! This Saturday! The horses should be taken away to pastures new, so we can roam the meadow in gingham dresses (dh looks good in a gingham dress) and we can have FuckYouFestivals to our heart's content.

There will be choirs and drums and bands and weapons and stackable goats and so much more!

Anyone who's read the threads knows I love a lurker. I can you see you out there. Go on, jump in while the thread's all new and shiny. You know you want to Wink

Don't know they're born, wellies, in my day we'd have killed for stackable goats.

SlightlyDampWellies · 15/02/2014 12:26

Sigh. I would kill for a wildlife meadow. Inspried by this thread, i asked DH if we could have a wildlife meadow. He looked out at our dingy courtyard mistily....

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/02/2014 12:28

In my day we had to make do with papier mache models of stackable goats.

They didn't stack very well on account of being a bit lumpy. But we were happy with our lot.

Try telling that to the young folk of today!

TheDoctrineOfSnatch · 15/02/2014 12:31

YAY!!!

RevoltInParadise · 15/02/2014 12:32

I have missed the stackable goats thing. Blush explanation please.

And yay for horses gone!

canutesauntie · 15/02/2014 12:39

delurking to say hooray & well done!

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 15/02/2014 12:39

Been a massive lurker though did delurk on the first thread but reading this update today has kept me so entertained and happy whilst I stand in an interminable queue at Gatwick. So so so pleased for you Chris. Now just want the parking bollards to go up on other thread and the forces of righteousness will truly have won the day!

mistlethrush · 15/02/2014 12:40

I'm SO PLEASED that they've gone !!!! That's one less stress for you at the moment. And of course, you might want a pony in the future - the difference will be that it will be your own pony, in your own field - and it won't be a stallion, so you will actually be able to trust it with going into the field - although it will probably be in only half of it anyway so there won't be a problem - significantly different from the situation you've been in. But that's in the future after the FYFest and the establishment of the Wildflower meadow...

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 15/02/2014 12:40

Revolt I'm not sure there is an explanation :) goats jump on each others' backs. Ergo stackable. I liked the idea of having stackable goats.

Doctrine Grin. Dh has now padlocked the gate! (With UW's trailer still inside... Did I mention that?)

Bore, papier-mâché?! We had to use owl-vomit and dead skin!

Wellies I hope it doesn't end up just a dream.

FairPhyllis · 15/02/2014 12:40

Whoop whoop!!! Horses are gone!!

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 15/02/2014 12:42

I wonder if you can make a mini wildflower meadow in a container like a retro wooden crate. You need sandy and poorly nourished soil don't you.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 15/02/2014 12:42

Xpost

Canute!! Thank you!!

Workingitout, I'm wishing you a quick queuing and safe journey

Mistle, you're right of course (you're always right Wink).

I really can't believe all the support we've had. Dh says that mn is entirely responsible for today. I think dh deserves a round of applause too

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 15/02/2014 12:43

Phyllis Grin

Enrique, all you need is rubbish soil and seeds!

OP posts:
SlightlyDampWellies · 15/02/2014 12:45

Brill mini-wildlife meadow for the courtyard plan! [wanders out of study to DH to suggest we go to B&Q]

bubblebabeuk · 15/02/2014 12:46

Yay Whoop whoop

ThePearShapedToad · 15/02/2014 12:47

thegreylady · 15/02/2014 12:51

wooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I say jolly well done everyone [waves wispily and is blown away by wind]

DejaVuAllOverAgain · 15/02/2014 12:51

Got chucked off here last night and been busy this morning so just caught up again.

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They've gone Grin

Now I can go to work happy.

Great news.

I'd eat the sign too.

MagicLlama · 15/02/2014 12:53

Ill get you the goats shipped over asap. They will probably eat the trailer I send them in. Honestly we had goats in my youth, but although I remember them escaping a lot - usually onto the woodpile - I don't remember them eating so much destruction.

Ill throw in stupidpony for your DS too. Shes broken though unfortunately as she managed to magic through electric fencing and into the feed store and now has laminitis, but you wont mind that will you Grin - Shes got a costume to dress her up as a knights charger and another to make her a zebra (!) which cancels out the brokenness!

And just for you ill send some seeds

Don't suppose you want a dog that attacks the random dog in the mirror as well do you?

Did I mention my animals are stupid?

AlpacaLypse · 15/02/2014 12:53

So....

When shall I book the Posh Turdises for FYF?

DejaVuAllOverAgain · 15/02/2014 12:53

Okay so I haven't quite caught up. There's a second page Blush I used to be able to read all on one page but don't seem to have that option now Hmm

Have to go soon so will catch up later/tomorrow.

Toomanyworriedsonhere · 15/02/2014 12:55

hurrah from london where it's now raining you'll be relieved to know
go and run round the field with a glass of fizz

MagicLlama · 15/02/2014 13:00

No No No. Don't make out that my sign eating goats are reasonable. They are not. They even ate the horse - not all him I hasten to add - just patches of his coat. Note to self don't stable goats next to tasty looking horse again! Next time the winds come they can stay outside and be blown away!

DorothyBastard · 15/02/2014 13:10

Yippee!! FYF is on!!

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 15/02/2014 13:21

We've just had bacon and egg butties in celebration. Also have to go out but will definitely be back to keep the party rolling Yipeee.

In all seriousness Chris, am so glad you found the threads a bit of a distraction, some fun and lots of support x
