I love a nice big jigsaw, me. Preferably something like a thatched cottage surrounded by flowers.

I am too embarrassed to do them at home because my 80 year old mother and inlaws who are in their 70s share my enthusiasm and I just think if any of my uber-cool London creative/media-type mates came calling and saw a bugger like that on my dining table they would think I was a very sad case and immediately drop me.

Jigsaws - love them. I'll also quite happily play solitaire, minesweeper and mah-jong on the computer when the internet stops working.
I really enjoyed some of the maths in a recent OU course, I discovered I find factorising strangely satisfying.
I'm sure there are loads more, I have many nerdy tendencies. Blush

I also wear a vest in the winter and tuck it snugly into my high-rise jeans
And am obsessive about shutting curtains at dusk 'to keep the heat in'

I like a nice glass of sherry and reading about the Tudors (if I can do both things together. so much the bettter. I excitedly spent 4 hours in the Tower of London saying things like 'ooh, this is where they put Anne Bolyen!' as though it was some glamorous tour of Hollywood Blush

You know that everyone is supposed to have a Doppelgänger??
It's either that or me and TastesLikePanda are channelling each other.Confused

I'm slightly more skatey/alternative/rock looking and am permanently plugged in an iPod. I do love a good musical. Although I am indulging in cheesy 80's and early 90's right now.
Love Shack anyone??Grin

I enjoy many dirty fantasies about our lovely Professer Snape.

I have watched all Buffy, all Game of Thrones, all Stargate (SG1, Atlantis and Universe), all Firefly and many other Sci-Fi series. I also read demons, princess, knights and magic type books.

I love showtunes as well as heavy metal. I dress as a goth when away from my job.

I am training to be a teacher because I love my subject and want to stay in it and inspire children in my dreams to become great scholars.

I am a fat ginger nerd girl and so all the nerds love me, enabling me to have been a massive slut for many years before I met lovely DP (who is also a massive nerd)

Oooh Remus, have you got a favourite book about Shackleton? I really want to read the story but I know there have been many published. Do you have an opinion on the best?

Dawndonna, I aspire to have my books ordered using the Dewey decimal system. It would take too long to sort though.

Hmmm....
I studied computing at uni (not very successfully, though I can read java and C++)

I enjoy role playing games and board games.

I have more than one World of Warcraft t-shirt.

I still have braces.

I love a good sci-fi B movie.

I used to collect manga novels (expensive hobby though at £6 a book)

I have the characters from Final Fantasy VII lovingly adorning my shelves, joined by Marcus Fenix (Gears of War) Domo-kun, Optimus Spud and the Force FX Mace Windu light sabre.

I'm wondering if redrubyshoes and her Stobart trucks is out-nerding everyone else on the thread so far?

I went to a Star Trek convention and met Gates McFadden and Michael Dorn.

But my books are arranged by colour

I love detective stories, and have read hundreds of them (I like looking for old ones in charity/second hand book shops)

Redrubyshoes - I have just shouted to DH 'you are not the only person who is obsessed with the names on Stobart trucks' Grin - He has got me joining in, if he is driving and concentrating, I have to look for the name.

We need to know if redrubyshoes wears vests.
And redrubyshoes sounds quite glam.
If she was sensiblelowheeledredrubyshoes that would clinch it.

I like word games, and board games, and card games.

I like reading, and am really into politics and economics and demographics (I like reading immigration statistics every now and then - demographics is destiny!)

I had braces. I change into pyjamas as soon as I get home from work.

Am feeling nice and comfy in this thread!

I too am bit obsessed with Eddie Stobart, although I do not write them down in a book... Blush
redrubyshoes - did you know there is a Eddie Stobart fan club?

LeQueen, it's great isn't it? I have a very endearing habit of shouting at the telly to correct historical inaccuracies and explaining the bloodlines to my oh-so--interested DH ('Oh, do you see her there, she was Henry's mistress, while he was married to so-and-so, she was married to whodyamacallit, who was the Duke of somewhere'). Better than Eastenders any day Grin

I am a fan of a cup of tea, a bath and the new Lakeland catalogue Grin

I knit obsessively and without formal patterns often, almost exclusively seamless too.

I can do cross stitch and embroidery very nicely but the kids have stollen my concentration for fine counted work. Tapestry bores me now.

I listen to radio 4 and radio 7 (it will never be "radio 4 extra" to me really).

Bloody love music in the Anglican Choral tradition.

(But I'm also a paid up apple addict and aldi shopper, where the hell do I fit socially LOL)
