I am 39w pg and dh and I have to travel to his home town to fill in some paperwork. the idiot has neglected to book us a hotel or even a B&B, we dont even know whether there is even a hospital nearby, at this rate I'll be giving rate in a bleddy barn!

part of me thinks he has done this on purpose (baby isnt his) AIBU to be flaming furious with him?

He is being a selfish arse - divorce him! Grin

Xmas Grin

he has (just about) managed to sort out a donkey, but he's a carpenter. I'd have thought he'd build his wife a cart!

luckily, baby is no trouble at all. just hope he is this good when he arrives!

I may be missing something important, but I don't see why you need to travel to sign paperwork - we have the postal system (including Special Delivery), email and fax machines....bring the paperwork to you = better than making heavily-pregnant-you travel near Christmas in what looks like more appalling weather for most of the country.

stillavirgin · 16/12/2010 20:37

oooh, thank you for the tip! whats the etiquette on gifts? apparently in some customs people give frankensence, gold and myrhh. the gold will come in handy, but tbh, I think I'd rather have mothercare vouchers! or is that a little ungracious?

mumblechum · 16/12/2010 20:39

Karen, yes, I think you are missing something Grin

Sorry to hear you're having a hard time Maz, but don't forget how supportive your fiance has been (I have read your other threads). I think you've got a good bloke there, you'll have to forgive the occasional slip-up. These things have a way of working themselves out - am sure there'll be space for you somewhere!!

Good luck for the imminent arrival - it'll be life changing for sure!

SparklyJules · 16/12/2010 20:41

Don't forget to pack some swaddling clothes, just in case!

stillavirgin · 16/12/2010 20:42

there has been some civil unrest recently, but the weather is expected to be good.

he really is wonderful 99% of the time, but then he is just a man. he has been very understanding about our situation though, and sometimes I dont know what he sees in me.

Was working out how to ask whose baby etc...tactfully of course Grin Grin Grin

EauRudolph · 16/12/2010 20:44

Make sure your DH tells his mates to pack their sat nav and not to rely on landmarks or celestial phenomena for navigation, otherwise they'll be really late.

DreamTeamGirl · 16/12/2010 20:45

Aww is it your first?

I know you arent in this country and medical care isnt all that in other areas, so make sure to pack some sani-wipes in case you end up camping or something... (shudder)

I will go for late Friday night in the sweepstake

BigNipsSmallTits · 16/12/2010 20:45

Have you got any names picked out? What about Paul or John?
