I am 39w pg and dh and I have to travel to his home town to fill in some paperwork. the idiot has neglected to book us a hotel or even a B&B, we dont even know whether there is even a hospital nearby, at this rate I'll be giving rate in a bleddy barn!

part of me thinks he has done this on purpose (baby isnt his) AIBU to be flaming furious with him?

op the three wise men Hmm are on their way, it took me ages to get them to follow. they are daft beggrs in disguise so be wary of empty boxes wrapped in fancy paper.

aurorastarofbethlehem · 23/12/2010 17:23

and no i'm not following you, am trying to get the three wise men to meet you on time Hmm though being men they will probably refuse to follow directions and take their own time getting there.

stillavirgin · 23/12/2010 17:24

oh, thank you aurora. surely we are only a day away now?

OP posts:
aurorastarofbethlehem · 23/12/2010 17:26

you are yes but i can't guarantee these wise men they will probaby be there after the birth tbh

stillavirgin · 23/12/2010 17:28

oh, thats a relief. i was hoping for a day or two's grace to recover from the birth!

OP posts:
aurorastarofbethlehem · 23/12/2010 17:29

you might get more than two with those 3

aurorastarofbethlehem · 23/12/2010 17:36

tut tut tut they've stopped again at this rate they won't be there til the beginning of next month AND one of them forgot to get his present and then had to try and beat the rush in argos.....

stillavirgin · 23/12/2010 17:44

oh ffs. what did he get me

any news on herod?

OP posts:
aurorastarofbethlehem · 23/12/2010 17:47

tell me about it. it's wrapped up in that blasted fancy paper that takes ages to unwrap. can't tell you that - it's a suprise!!!

no news on him yet, sorry. you want to be careful of him as well, not a nice person.

MrsCratchit · 23/12/2010 18:08

Make sure you get the receipt for the pressies from those wisemen if and when they make it. They give some bizarre pressies.

Although there's always cashmygold.com though doubt you'll get enough for that Bugaboo.

StAnne · 23/12/2010 20:15

Yes, That Herod I've heard he's planning on taking your child benefit away, going on and on about people not working hard enough as slaves. Also read in The Times he gets very paranoid! Pls be careful Xmas Smile

SeaGreen · 23/12/2010 22:16

i hear cashmymyrhh.com pays better- might stretch to that bugaboo..

aurorastarofbethlehem · 24/12/2010 09:23

morning - have you found somewhere to stay yet? it's looking pretty full here ....

stillavirgin · 24/12/2010 17:57

well, we are here and theres nowhere to stay. DH has been shunned by his relatives and all the B&Bs are full. he has just popped into an inn to see if they have anything at all. baby is getting twitchy and I have awful backache...

OP posts:
FuturePM · 24/12/2010 18:03

The baby isn't his? Probably on purpose in that case..! Have you tried lastminute.com?

stillavirgin · 24/12/2010 18:10

i did try last minute, but the census means that the town is full.

OP posts:
sitdownpleasegeorge · 24/12/2010 18:50

How is the backache ?

Do you know where the nearest maternity unit is should you go into labour whilst away from home and did you remember to bring your handheld maternity records file with you ?

jugglingjo · 24/12/2010 18:55

Now the birth looks pretty imminent, is there any light on the horizon ?

stillavirgin · 24/12/2010 18:57

that star is getting brighter. its lighting up our way!

dh finally managed to persuade an innkeeper to let us use an annexe. we are on our way there now.

OP posts:
stillavirgin · 24/12/2010 18:58

oooh, that hurt!

OP posts:
stillavirgin · 24/12/2010 19:47

its a bloody stable! a stable! complete with cows and donkeys.

I wont get a minutes sleep will I? but at least its dry...

OP posts:
FancyALittle · 24/12/2010 19:56

Don't worry, stillavirgin - just think of the stories you'll be able to pass down Smile .
