I am 39w pg and dh and I have to travel to his home town to fill in some paperwork. the idiot has neglected to book us a hotel or even a B&B, we dont even know whether there is even a hospital nearby, at this rate I'll be giving rate in a bleddy barn!

part of me thinks he has done this on purpose (baby isnt his) AIBU to be flaming furious with him?

Where will you put the baby when he's born ?

And have you got any clothes for him ?

Perhaps you could ask at the inn ?

stillavirgin has gone very quiet. I wonder if this is it!

phew, sorry I disappeared! we had a little boy yesterday morning! 7lb7oz! he has a mop of dark hair and the most beautiful eyes. he is truly perfect. the labour was painful, but tbh the worst thing about it was the fact that it was in a stable!

it mat have been an hallucination, but I swear I heard people singing as he crowned... have been inundated with visitors though. shepherds yesterday, animals in tow... they stayed for yonks. bf is going well though. back in a min, he needs reswaddling!

congratulations! the wise men have been held up by ice on the main highway ....

tribpot · 26/12/2010 14:20

Congratulations! Perfect name for the time of year although you might want to give him the middle name H Wink

As it was an unassisted home (well, stable) birth you'll need to let the local child health unit know to do the blood spot screening and all that stuff, very important for continuity of care if you may shortly be on the run move again.

Really pleased it all went well, enjoy your babymoon!

On the up side, at least your dh will be there with you, suffering too, except he'll have to do it in silence as it was his own fault he forgot to book a room! xx

cambridgetinsellyferret · 19/12/2011 19:58

Congratulations.
If a chap called Herod wants to visit though tell him you're too busy.
