I didn't want to be the one to do it! I promise next time I will sellotape my fingers.

Working on it dingdong

Hi Triplets - it's taken me about a year to work it out too! From memory, you log into your profile and go to photo gallery, and there's an "add your photos" bit there. If you click on the browse button next to the enter file name bit, it will take you to a file manager and you can find your pictures where you left them on your PC. Click on the one you want and the rest is done for you. It's maybe worth resizing the pics beforehand just so they're a bit smaller.

HTH!

And Kelly I don't want to know either about everything getting hard. I sometimes feel I don't really belong on the Multiples bit because my two are dreams still and do what they should when they should (read, when Mummy requires!). We are about to hit teething though... I have no idea why they're so calm and lovely, they just are. So every MN story brings the day that they aren't closer. And it scares me.

Now I have to go feed babies because they say they're thirsty. Little lovelies!

Twinmummyx2 · 05/05/2007 08:29

It's hard all the way along i think, just in different ways.

newborns-lack of sleep
'two's-the tantrums and potty training (or lack of..lol)
'threes'-they get bored and a challenge
'fours' til 'elevens'-squabbling with siblings and each other
'twelves'-'seventeens'wanting to do things they are too young for'

buit thats what parenting is all about!

bless them!

Kneehighinnappies · 05/05/2007 15:52

Hello all, yes it is me 1becomes3 I decide that a name change was due, and for some strange reason this one seemed like it best described me at the moment

Looks as though my run of bad luck has stopped for the moment at least, although I went for a walk the other day and a bird shit on my head

I hope you are all well you never know I may find a second in the week to try and catch up with whats been happening.

I did read the post from twinmummyx2

I hate to say it but it doesn't stop at 17 I have a 18year old SS and he is a nightmare. I remember putting my parents through hell well into my 20's and I'm still doing it with all these kids

largeginandtonic · 06/05/2007 10:20

Hello all

Hope you are all ok. I have been out and about trying to get this baby to come out. Not sure why i bother really, he will still be in in 2 weeks time! Due a week today, hooray. The end is in sight

Just think of Mars climbing the Pitons in St Lucia........ or lying on a beach.....cant really see Mars lying down and resting

oooggs · 06/05/2007 17:08

Hi all

Good name change kneehighinnappies & very apt

Largeg&t - no.6 still holding on, typical.

I am soooo tired, everything seems to have caught up with me today, last week and dh on lates was really hard work and I feel drained. DS is exhausting even when he is just chattering and there is no pre school tomorrow.

It can only get better, shame you can't bank or buy sleep

piximon · 06/05/2007 18:33

Hiya all, we're still keeping our heads above water in the pixi house. I pulled a muscle on my shoulder in the week which made picking up the babies (and typing) very difficult. Then DD1 came up with a rash all over yesterday so off to A&E with her where the said it's some sort of virus not to worry. Then DT2 had a very high fever which I could't bring down so back off to A&E in the middle of last night. Everyone feeling beter now.
DS1 is now back at his previous nursery 3 days a week and DD1 there four afternoons a week so I'm out and about most days. I have a student to help me two days a week which does make life much easier esp for the older two as they get bit more undivided attention.
Other than that we're doing the place up ready to put on the market. Fitting a kichen this weekend (someone unexpectedly gave it to us and it's much better than the one we had). So the place is even more upside down than usual.
DTs are at a lovely stage now, laughing and giggling. DT1 is already on her way to turning over and trying to sit up. DT2 is into grabbing everything in sight esp toys and chewing on them.
How are you all doing?

largeginandtonic · 07/05/2007 05:41

Cant sleep, restless, pacing. Annoying BH. Sure it all means nothing, just that i will be dead on my feet by lunchtime.

Lovely down here on my own though.......not children asking for anything. May make it a regular thing

Ooogs hope you manage to rest a bit while dh is off, it is such hard work when all the fuss dies down and you are left to do it all. The babies sound like they are doing very well, and im sure J is fine.

We must meet up again soon, a bit of baby snuggling may get this one to move!

Hello pixi, sorry to hear about the endless trips to A&E what a nightmare. Im sure i never heard the word virus so many times till i had kids, now it is all the doctor says to me! Hope you are all on the mend now.

frumpygrumpy · 07/05/2007 15:06

Hi all, can't chat much today, time is limited.....I think I understand Triplets point. When your kids get older and have tantrums and strong opinions you see it as a forever phase, the person they are becoming, whereas when they are 2 you know they are changing. The 2 year old cuteness of chubby elbows and chest-contricting hugs are gone too. BUT they are all to be loved.

I can't get that poor woman in Portugal out of my head. Nothing compares.....nothing.

Love to everyone, well done LG&T, you are staying sane and just fast forward to that moment that fresh little velvet head nestles against your cheek. Its neary here sweetheart! Have you had an afternoon of looking at your baby clothes and holding them against your shoulder with a small teddy tucked inside? Or was I the only one

C'mon Mars, get your tanned hide back in here, you've had long enough!

Up at the crack of dawn again, my youngest son is pushing me to the limit. He jas been up since 3, crying, whingiging, fidgeting. It is too hard here, no where to lock him in and he is in our room. MIL has to get up for work, the others are all sharing and have school in the morning. I will be on the couch downstairs with this baby while dh has him in bed with him at this rate.

He gets sooooo mad and screams if you tell him to get back in to bed. I may ebay him later.

Still lunchboxes made and im almost done with my 1st cup of tea.

How is everyone else? Did anyone see that twin cutting edge prog yesterday? Very strange.

MarsLady · 08/05/2007 09:04

Hi darlings! I'm home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will post later. Got to try and stay away from MN as have 2 assignments to get in. One for Wednesday and one for Saturday.

Missed you all

Will catch up after dropping DTs at playgroup.

Overrun · 08/05/2007 09:24

Hi every one. Just looking in, during a moment of rare calm and a break from packing
Our moving date is the 12th, and I have had to supervise the work we are having done on the new house pretty tightly. Add to that mix, a bad chest infection and Asthma on my part. I think (I hope) I can be excused for not posting much
btw, dt2 still hasn't grown out of smearing pooh every where (surely at 2.5 he should have?) Last week he dipped his hand in his ripe nappy and smeared it all over the car window while I was driving and last night all over the window and curtain in his bedroom

piximon · 08/05/2007 10:43

overrun, take heart. ds1 did this too so I know how awful it is. Sometimes he'd go for months and then do it again. I think the last time was when he was around 3(now 4.3) so I'm hopefull he's all done with it. Have you made him help clean it up?
Mars we missed you.
LG&T not long now, where did the time go?
We were given some kitchen cabinets on sun so spent most of the weekend refitting the kitchen. Unfortunately the old cupboards were not standard size and newer ones are so not strightforward change over. DH is back at work now so I'll have to live with half a kichen till saturday. Must get house on market before the end of the month. What happened to all the lovely weather?

MarsLady · 08/05/2007 11:17

"Just think of Mars climbing the Pitons in St Lucia........ or lying on a beach.....cant really see Mars lying down and resting" Trust me!!!!!!!!!!!! I was lying down on the beach. My only exercise was getting into the sea and swimming or walking to Miss Marie's shack for lunch (about 4pm each day) then back to the beach to lie down. Oh and then there was dancing all night. Now who was it that mentioned lovely locals in dark alleys? Where were you? What did you see??????? lol

Posted on leos thread. Caught up on this one.

Now my darlings......... I was only gone a week. Where did all your sunshine go? Do I have to buy a railcard/plane ticket and come and sort you all out?

HM......... I do still have a phone number. Don't you dare mope in private. Call me and sob if necessary.
Pixi... how are you all doing now?
DD...... ditto the phone number
FG.... well? Did you confess about MN? Love love love the.... "we all have to make sacrifices darling". Am so using that!
Kelly.... get that house on the market babe
kneehigh..... how goes it now? You can call if needed babe (you know I love to lecture )
overrun.... DT2 still occasionally smearing... the wee beast
triplets.... I'll bring a stick. Sounds like it needs banging on a few heads (esp DP's)
tkandb....are you not back yet?
estar...love your posts. lol

Who've I missed? Not intentional but I really need to go study now.

Girls............... you are all wonderful mums. Your humour hasn't deserted you, it's just kind of in storage... you know you save it all for me.

I love you all (even the ones I haven't met). So.... if FG has finally confessed then it's time for a date for a serious meet up either with or without the wee beasts. I'll bake!

MarsLady · 08/05/2007 11:18

LG... glad babe is behaving and the hospital's pleased with you.

Overrun · 08/05/2007 18:53

Lol Mars, thats a good summary, its actually been quite useful to me as I haven't been around much, a quick snap shot into every ones lives
Thanks Piximon, it is reasurring to hear that he is not the only one. My ds1 would never ever have done this at 2.5, so was shocked. I must get him to clear it up, but for those of you who remember I just dry heave and if my Asthma is bad its a problem. So I end up cowering next door and dh clears it up (I know you will all chorus that I am lucky, I know I am!) I am fine with sick and do their nappies all the time, but its pooh and lots of it combined with if my Asthma is bad anyway that causes problems.

largeginandtonic · 09/05/2007 09:43

make it come out........ I have had enough of is it isnt it. Mars heeeeelp meeeeeee

Hello everyone else, very glad mine only did the poo hidding thing in their drawers for a little while. I used to safety pin all their clothes on and they were in those pop up vests for ages as i could delay there poo release strtegies that way!

Oh so glad to leave that all behind, this next one (if it ever comes out) will be an angel

frumpygrumpy · 09/05/2007 11:09

there, that should help

oooggs · 09/05/2007 13:39

Dt's 6 weeks tomorrow - how do you put babies to bed??? May seem a silly question but take into consideration ds1 (3) who sleeps next door.

Not really sure what to do, made loads of sleep mistakes with ds1 - don't want to do it again.

tkband3 · 09/05/2007 14:27

I'm back . I have actually been home for a few days, but it's taken me a while to emerge from the mountain of washing and catch up with everyone's news. We had a nice, but v. wet, time in Spain, where the rain did NOT remain on the plain but poured on us at every opportunity it seemd . The DDs were lovely though, really good on the flights and great fun to be with most of the time and OH kept commenting how lucky he is to have 3 such gorgeous girls.

Overrun I'm so sorry you are having such problems with DT2. It's not something I have any experience of, but can totally empathise with how you react to it. No advice I'm afraid, but big ((((((hugs))))))).

lg&t, not long now. A friend did use cod liver oil to good effect when she was a few days past her due date.... So pleased for you that the baby has turned at last.

ooogs - I am completely . I found my nipper cosytoes in the cellar when I was packing for hols and remembered I'd promised to find out how much it would cost to post them to you. So sorry that I have forgotten. If you are still interested let me know and I will find out asap. Re the bedtime thing, I think the key is to teach them the difference between daytime and night-time and making sure that you put them down at the same time each evening. This might mean a few disturbed evenings for your DS1 whilst they get used to it, as you will no doubt have to stay with them while they drop off, but it should be worth it in the long run. I would also add that I didn't do this initially and spent long evenings with both DTs and me in floods of tears whilst I tried to settle them to sleep. I do have friends who have started a good bath, feed, bed routine from very early on to very good effect. Is it possible to have someone else put DS1 to bed for a few nights whilst you get the DTs settled. If your OH works shifts, maybe wait till he's on an early one so he can help you? Oh and I'd definitely second FG's suggestion of cranio-sacral therapy for the colic.

Sorry - no time to catch up with everyone else, DD1 wants to do something whilst DTs sleep...hope everyone's ok.

MarsLady · 09/05/2007 14:31

Welcome back!

triplets · 09/05/2007 16:50

Welcome back ladies, you have been missed! Yes where did the sun go to, sat here with my heating on until Mr Grumpy gets home and turns it down! Today is the first day I have been out since Sun, hurt my back and have literally cried with pain, but thank goodness on the mend today. A few large glasses od du vin rouge and two extra strong pain killers seems to have done me the world of good Should be polishing shoes, Cub night, two whole hours of peace and quiet, might toddle up to see my brother who has a good supply of Guiness! Shoes!

Kelly1978 · 09/05/2007 19:16

hi trips, thanks for emailing me the other night. I went on to get absolutely blotto on wine and had a lovely destressing weekend.
The dts are really a nightmare at the moment, but I'm trying to get mroe one to one time with them individually so that I do appreciate them more and enjoy them rahter than keep moaning about them all the time.

estar · 09/05/2007 23:39

Hello ladies, have been putting off writing about what's happening in RL cos there's too much of it but I'll tell you tonight, just to keep you updated...

Me and dh finished college last week (whoop whoop) and will be moving in two weeks (25th May). Unfortunately we're having some problems with the house we are buying in Morecambe but it may be a blessing in disguise as we have decided to stay in Preston, where both our families are, for the next couple of months while it all gets sorted out. This means a)I'm not rushing to pack here b)we'll have time to do up the new house when we get it instead of moving in and then putting in new kitchen, carpets, etc c)we can stay in the gorgeous converted barn that my auntie has just finished doing up d) I will be near all my family for two months! It's like a huge holiday!

I'm so relieved cos after the manic rush of having so much college work to do, I wasn't looking forward to the next manic rush of moving house but this has slowed everything down to a leisurely pace (always hoping the house sale eventually goes through, of course!). Especially as I am still being sick and my SPD is starting to make an appearance.

So ds1 is going to the local primary school for half a term and as dh is working in Preston at the moment, we will all be together as a family again - yay!

Sorry to ignore everyone else's posts but its late, will catch up soon....

triplets · 10/05/2007 09:26

Hi Kelly1978,
Glad to hear you are feling more positive, everything changes, things last only a time, feels like forever I know at the time tho!Its a shame that we feel that we are not enjoying our children at times, esp when awful things like little Maddy going missing are happening. Yet we are all human, we just do the best we can, motherhood aint easy!

MarsLady · 10/05/2007 19:42

Hi darlings!

Brief hello. About to have a manic weekend. I mean why bother going away.......? I've been non-stop since I got home. Ah well. These things are sent to bore us!

Kisses to you all.
