A new thread!
Especially for throckenholt

I was hoping the original one would go to 1000, but it was gettign a but annoying scrolling all the way done, so come over here instead.

How is everyone coping with the school holidays?

I'm fed up with the rubbish weather, as we're stuck in the house too much. I daren't take them to soft play as it packed during the hols and then I can't watch all four of them. Plus it costs a fortune.
Mine are changing so much. Rav is becoming a right wuss, scared of new places. I suppose it shows awareness, but it is annoying when I've driven miles for a nice day out and he just wants to sit and whine because he is too scared to go on anything! Shay is developing his houdini skills, and now has a tendancy to bolt out of parks so I have to watch him like a hawk. I must dig out the reins before we go on holiday.

hi hm have just got on here, DT1 is being a complete pain in the today I have left her with DH as she likes him better probably cos he's a soft touch!

How are you getting on anyway? Any more signs of movement?

If I disappear it will be due to DT1's tantrums...

frumpygrumpy · 26/11/2006 11:16

Thanks for the link throckenholt (what the hell can we shorten you to? Its a biggy to type ).

Hi HM, I'm just about to brave a walk to get a paper, its always takes forever to get everyone wrapped up and out though. It is absolutely freeeezing so I'm wishing I wasn't trying to be healthier . How's your cervix this morning dahling?

frumpygrumpy · 26/11/2006 11:17

oh and charleymouse, feel free to join in here, we are here for ups and downs x.

harrogatemum · 26/11/2006 11:27

I think my cervix is screwed tightly shut....and tomorrow DH has to fly to Glasgow for the whole day for a meeting, so something is bound to kick off then. He has no choice in going, he put it off and off and off and thought the baby would have been born by now......

largeginandtonic · 26/11/2006 11:52

Oh bugger HM, hopefully nothing will happen...famous last words though. Have you got back up for the kids and a birth partner or will Mars have to drive like the wind to get there for you?!

So should we lay off the go in to labour vibes today or stop sending them about bed time?

Im going to watch pirates 2 this afternoon, we got it yesterday. I love Jonny Depp

harrogatemum · 26/11/2006 12:18

would be happy for it to happen today, but obviously not after midnight!

frumpygrumpy · 26/11/2006 16:47
harrogatemum · 26/11/2006 17:06

no such luck frumpy...........still here, it will be tomorrow when DH is in Glasgow, without a doubt.

largeginandtonic · 26/11/2006 18:43

Dont think like that HM, im sure it will be ok. Maybe it will start as he is on the way home. By the time he gets in you will be thinking yes this is it and he will walk in to happy wife ready for hosptal. Just remember to pack him a sandwich....

Am hungry what shall i have for tea? I made pizza but the kids munched it all. I have chocolate trifle in the fridge im tempted to just eat that really, poor baby. Where are its fruit and veges for the day!

harrogatemum · 26/11/2006 19:45

I am having pizza - but coming from Pizza Hut - DH has just gone out to get it. I am going to have a glass of cold white wine with it, I mean I am now 40+2!!!

I reckon you should go the choc trifle (if you havent already), I have just had two oatcakes with cheese as I'm starving waiting for DH to get back with the grub!

Think you should all stop the labour vibes now until this time tomorrow, had more show today but nothing else to report.

One of the DTs is becoming really whingy and whiny and its worrying me that I am sort of favouring the other one (oh god, that sounds just awful) - has anyone had experience of this?

Overrunnerbean · 26/11/2006 19:51

Hi every one, exciting news HM, hope its soon, but not tomorrow
hello fg, just thought I hadn't said howdy for a while.
I didn't post much yesterday, as went out bird watching with dh in the driving rain, god I have missed those times Mum had the kiddies, and actually we really enjoyed it. Enjoyed the slap up meal last night even better though, was lovely.
Some of you might remember that I have posted before about dt1 having a groin hernia, we have been waiting for an op since he was 3 months old, he turned two on 22nd of Oct.
On Saturday morning, we got a letter asking us to bring him in at 11am on wednesay (29th). Talk about lack of warning.
I have had to do a mad scramble to get people to look after my other two children. Typical isn't it? Well at least he can finally get it sorted

lapinrose · 26/11/2006 20:09

I've changed my name, hadn't realised there was another with a v similar name so earlysbird is no longer...

hm sending you 'crossed legs, keep it in there girl' vibes for 24 hrs... hope your pizza is yummy and I bet the wine's going down well!

overrunnerbean I am constantly amazed by the length of time it takes to get an NHS appointment and the incredible lack of notice/thought that goes with it - I waited for months to get a small growth removed from the back of my head (apparently it was a pregnancy hormonal thing ) and finally got an appointment for week 37 of my pregnancy, 3 days before xmas, which turned out to be week 2 of the DTs lives, either way not v helpful but I had to go otherwise who knows how long I'd have waited! Anyway...hope it goes ok on weds

Overrunnerbean · 26/11/2006 20:21

nice new name lapinrose

lapinrose · 26/11/2006 20:22

merci

leogaela · 26/11/2006 21:18

HM, if you haven't done already don't drink the wine! I read somewhere recently that alcohol is a supressant and can be used to stop premature labour.

2 of my rl friends had their babies today ! Just waiting for you now HM!

Poor ds is ill now, has had a high temperature since friday night (hope that is not a sign of infection) and is having difficulty breathing. He seems to be very prone to bronchitis but I thought we had really got rid of it as he has been fine for ages. Trip to the doctor tomorrow !

Does the bum in the air thing work for twins as well? how early do I have to worry about twins being in head down position?

MarsLady · 26/11/2006 21:59

bum in the air works for them all.

How long to go leo?

HM..... don't make me jump on a train now. I've one who is likely to give birth in the next day or two. I'm hoping she goes tomorrow.. that would be perfect! Of course it would be better if HD were there. Can't wait for him to come to supper and tell us all about it in the New Year (not that I want the baby to wait until the New Year you understand..........phew!)

Charley............ come back babe. Lots of love and hugs etc waiting!

harrogatemum · 27/11/2006 06:44

morning ladies - have been up since 4.30am! Cant sleep as HD has gone to Glasgow and am getting what I think are Braxton Hicks every 10 mins...not painful, just uncomfortable. Anyway am having a cup of tea before the DTs wake up and havoc commences and trying to think nice calming "dont go into labour for another 12 hours" thoughts!

throckenholt · 27/11/2006 08:21

I have been known to be shortened to throck .

now - will go back and wade through all the rest of the recent posts (I can never keep up here !)

largeginandtonic · 27/11/2006 09:35

How are you HM, due we need an sos to mars yet? Im sure its just your mind playing tricks, try to forget about it

I have a whole list of things to do but dont want to do any of them. Im not a fan of monday mornings, you can never get anyone on the phone anyway.

Ds#4 is still a pain at night, but i have put ds#3 back in nappies at night, so at least i didnt have to change a wet bed too. Moan, moan....

Hope the rest of you are well today

Overrunnerbean · 27/11/2006 09:46

hi every one, slept well last night, but still feel knackered. HM, how are you today? Largeginandtonic know what you mean about Monday mornings, have a huge list of things I need to do, and piles of washing in the hall.
Just on computer doing some admin and couldn't resist a hello

harrogatemum · 27/11/2006 10:40

still here - had lots of show today - very pink and brown (sorry if TMI) and tightenings about every ten mins (not painful but uncomfortable)= just praying I hold on until tonight!

largeginandtonic · 27/11/2006 10:45

Hope you do to HM, im making Mars lemon drizzle cake, will pop a slice over to you later...

Overrunnerbean · 27/11/2006 10:46

Oh HM, that sounds promising, what time is dh due back?

lapinrose · 27/11/2006 10:49

oh, sounding promising hm, hold on until tonight if you can, do you have anyone with you? You know I can always pop down if you need me ...I can handle 2 sets of twins, no probs

harrogatemum · 27/11/2006 11:04
