Well ... it's been one hell of a month hasn't it? I hope everyone is safe and well (and not going too mad with kids and partners at home!). As always, referral links and new starters are welcome, think we're all going to need a boost financially over the next few months.

NEVER right click on the
Google result title and select "Copy Link Address" to obtain the URL UNLESS you are using the
CHROME BROWSER ONLY.

I am using chrome!

527040minutes · 20/04/2020 20:15

I'm wondering, if they're now asking for a RPH, will they still be paying by hour, or will it be by task? It's my first project so I've not dealt with this before! The lack of timer means I'm actually going really quickly, not sure if I'd do just as well to breath a bit if it's by time though instead of racing through everything?

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 20/04/2020 20:19

I've got a 2 minute timer going on my phone so I can keep track.

rhij86 · 20/04/2020 20:23

I've done an hour on my other active Appen project, going to give B*ne a go now seen as I've received the link and see how I get on. But first - snacks!

Boobahs · 20/04/2020 20:32

Has anyone else had problems withdrawing funds from WorkMarket to their PayPal account? It's all verified but every time I tried to withdraw, I got an error message. In the end I withdrew to my bank account which went through with no problems so I'm thinking it's a problem with PayPal Hmm

toastytea · 20/04/2020 20:35

@rhij86 good luck! Let us know how you get onSmile

TheCanterburyWhales · 20/04/2020 20:43

I passed the potato!
Should have caught up with this thread first as I did loads extra thinking it would stop me automatically, then I thought gah, they'll think I'm a thicko if I can't even get the instructions right!

rhij86 · 20/04/2020 21:03

@toastytea I did 27mins but managed 25 tasks so happy with that. It's not too bad, as Spock and someone else said, they don't want you to check how relevant the pages are for this part. Literally copy and paste as long as it meets the criteria list in the guidelines.

I'm running on 6hours sleep total in the last 2 days so I'm headed to bed now and hope there's still some left in the morning!

ruralwanderer · 20/04/2020 21:29

I finally got my B* link :D And have spent 55 minutes on it tonight. Timed out on the first one so after that I just copy pasted straight from the Google search results (I'm using Chrome so it's ok to do this according to the guidelines). Neck and arm are aching now so I've stopped for the evening and am hoping like crazy there'll be work left when I log on again in the morning. Delighted though to finally be working a proper project :D

toastytea · 20/04/2020 21:32

@rhij86 interesting considered the time we were allowed previously!

I might give it a crack when my other project runs out of work but I don't really trust it!

Loopyteddy · 20/04/2020 21:34

So can I ask, are you opening each page or just clicking the copy link address straight from the search results page?

rhij86 · 20/04/2020 21:57

@loopyteddy just copy and pasting. I did the same last time we did B part 1/2/whatever it was.

ifuckarses · 20/04/2020 23:18

2.5 hours worth done. My eyes won't work any longer! Hope there's some left tomorrow, I actually quite enjoyed it once I got in the rhythm.

DarkPassenger · 21/04/2020 01:09

3.5 hours here. My neck's gone all crunchy, and my head doesn't want to lift up.. Confused Oh it'll be reet Grin

Fingers crossed we all get a good chunk to do tomorrow.

Kaylsar · 21/04/2020 06:43

Morning all
If anyone’s up Prolific have quite a few surveys with 500+ remaining places.
Going to attempt to do B!** as they sent me another email yesterday.
How are April’s earning looking for everyone?

tootyfruitypickle · 21/04/2020 07:25

I’m using chrome but if I right click on link it opens it . If i just highlight and copy then it’s not a url? What am I doing wrong ?!!

RamblingFar · 21/04/2020 07:53

@tootyfruitypickle Right-click and copy link address

Frenchdoors1 · 21/04/2020 08:13

Re: B*
Do we get paid if we do 30 in 1 hour? So if I were to do say 18 in 1 hour would that mean I'm wasting my time?

Suebnm · 21/04/2020 08:16

If you did 18 in an hour you definitely wouldn't get paid. If you did 30 in an hour you stand a better chance.

ruralwanderer · 21/04/2020 08:27

I don't think you'd be able to do 18 in an hour? Surely you'd be timing out too often? I've managed 150 in 2 hours with an hour last night and another hour this morning.

unicornpoopoop · 21/04/2020 08:29

I just did an hour and managed 60 but then it said no more tasks

tootyfruitypickle · 21/04/2020 08:32

No more tasks!

Is it paid per task or per hour then now?! I managed to get 17 done this morning, it took about half an hour I think. The right click just opens the page for me but i could still get it done in the time limit - as long as there were no hitches or finger trouble!

tootyfruitypickle · 21/04/2020 08:33

if it's a 2 minute time limit surely 30 in an hour is about right? if it's paid by task I can understand wanting to go faster but I was assuming it was by hour (didn;t have time to read the task info!)

rhij86 · 21/04/2020 08:36

@tootyfruitypickle yes it's still per hour. No more tasks here either, hopefully they load some more soon, it wasn't as bad as I initially thought.

Catatemyhomework · 21/04/2020 08:38

I've just logged on to do some work and there's nothing left. Oh well, I can de-flea the cat now. Hate that job!
