Well ... it's been one hell of a month hasn't it? I hope everyone is safe and well (and not going too mad with kids and partners at home!). As always, referral links and new starters are welcome, think we're all going to need a boost financially over the next few months.

I've just sat down to do some B@!e on Appen, I didn't know about the 2 minute cap and needless to say timed out. It looks like they have put parts 1 and 2 together? So you have to say if the query is valid or vague etc then select the top 5! All with no timer. I'm not going to bother, it's really not well run and I personally cant do the work properly in 2 minutes! The guidelines say the work must be high quality which I can't deliver in that time frame. I'm quite sad as I made £500 last month from Appen but I don't trust them now. I noticed they have halved my time from another project I do for them which is also on Figure 8 it was only 1 hour but even so it's the fact that the invoice is auto generated but they can still fiddle it!

On the positive after applying 1 year ago I finally got invited to Potato and have all my logins and started last night! Smile

tinyradish · 18/04/2020 12:32

I haven't got a B*ne link either but sounds like it's not worth it anyway!

BertieBotts · 18/04/2020 12:54

On uTest don't forget to go back to the Projects board and sign up for everything you can there, I started getting invites again this way as I'd forgotten to check there.

I haven't done much on them though as I find I need to dedicate quite a chunk of time and I just don't have that predictably at the moment.

Wheelyyyy · 18/04/2020 14:38

Right...gulp

About to start the chipolstas trial thing....
Really nervous, my hands are sweating.

Wish me luck

girlicorne · 18/04/2020 15:08

No B* link here either I wouldn’t work it again anyway so I don’t really mind!

ruralwanderer · 18/04/2020 15:22

I haven't received a B* link either and now my Neevo job has vanished, I only managed 90 tasks then had to log off and when I logged back on it was gone, and isn't showing in my completed work tab either...

Wheelyyyy · 18/04/2020 15:35

Finished....how long does it take to hear back??? Ref the chipolata one

Otterses · 18/04/2020 16:13

Is it just me or have the b@-/) tasks finished?
I was going through them then it said you’ve completed all your work. I wonder if the work quality was low or if it is really because there are no tasks left 🧐

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 18/04/2020 19:17

I started off quite well on Neevo but haven't found anything to do on there since last Monday.

I have passed tests for Clickworker but don't seem to be having much luck getting to do much (I think I've made $7 so far in an hour!).

Otherwise it's feeling to me as if I'm spending a lot of time looking for jobs that aren't there to do????

Am I being impatient?

Kaylsar · 18/04/2020 19:29

With Neevo, I got invited to some task this morning which was about complaints. I failed the test. Twice.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 18/04/2020 19:31

Oh dear @Kaylsar. What I'm finding is that I'm spending quite a long time doing the tests. Did one on Clickworker this morning but by the time I'd passed it there were no paid items to do!!!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 18/04/2020 19:32

I am also finding some of the decisions about which version is best (on Clickworker with spoken phrases) very disputable!!!

Kaylsar · 18/04/2020 20:32

Today’s been rather quiet
Prolific: 0.. haven’t managed to get any surveys

20COGS: I’m up £87 and have 7 more cogs to go so not too bad. I’ve noticed that they’re changing the offers so you can choose which ones you prefer.
This is a referral link for them:
20cogs.co.uk/validate/refer_a_friend/welcome/2436585?keyword=referred&subid1=20CUK-1360-2436585-44115108&campaign=600

Freelancer: I have a $40 task to get done tonight so I’ll work on it and already been paid for it. He’s a regular client.

Neevo: as mentioned, I failed the test twice for a complaints task. I have a 0.10 Australian transcription one but haven’t done any for a couple of days because want to make sure the first batch actually get accepted and pass quality checks.

Appen: I managed one hour but not sure if I did it right then it seemed like they thanked me and told me that no more tasks were available. Not completely sure and don’t want to contact them as they don’t seem to like tickets being submitted as they see warnings about that all the time.

Trade 212: someone here seems to have used my referral link and she’s messaged me telling me she got a free £44 share. My free share was worth £9.
Do you want to get a free stock share worth up to ‎£ 100?

Create a Trading212Invest account using this link www.trading212.com/invite/FfWEvGTO and we both get a free share, you only need to deposit £1 or more. It’s basically free money 💰

UTest: not much going on there. I think having an unrated profile doesn’t help.

Also I’ve found a new app and was testing it over the last three days. It’s called Beelivery and basically it’s an app that delivers food shopping but it has to be done asap. I’ve seem like someone wanting a few bits and you then get reimbursed within 24 hours and the fee was £10.19 if completed in an hour or £11.19 if completed in 40 minutes. The good this was that the customer was 0.3 miles away but I couldn’t be bothered going but might start asking DH to give it a try.

Kaylsar · 18/04/2020 20:33

Please excuse my typos, I have a todder grabbing at my screen Grin

Kaylsar · 18/04/2020 20:34

That should have said toddler Blush

StudentHelp · 18/04/2020 20:43

Hi all,
Hope everyone is well, I’ve been gone a while.
That neevo task for complaints made me £45 in less than 2 hours so I’m really happy as I’m only aiming for £5 a day this month as I have lots of uni deadlines

StudentHelp · 18/04/2020 20:44

Sorry, just seen others failed the test. I didn’t mean to be insensitive! I failed it the first time then used the guidelines and got 7/10 on my second attempt so just scraped it.

curdsandwhey · 18/04/2020 21:25

20COGS: I’m up £87 and have 7 more cogs to go so not too bad. I’ve noticed that they’re changing the offers so you can choose which ones you prefer.

You're doing well!

Just in case anyone missed it earlier in the thread, if you do 20Cogs I strongly recommend not trying to do the whole thing all in one go. It's the people who do it all in a day or two who end up signing themselves up to pointless stuff they don't even want, and it will only cause you stress. It's far better to take it slowly. If you get to a cog where none of the offers are right for you, just leave it a couple of days, log in again and some of the offers will have changed.

TomTomRunner · 18/04/2020 21:38

@Wheelyyyy

Is chipoloata the new name for potato? Grin

I did my test and heard back after 24 hours. That was a weekday though, you might have to wait until Monday.

flameprincess · 18/04/2020 23:07

Also with 20cogs make sure you keep emails and screenshots - I had one cog left on amber ready to turn green so I could cash out and it got rejected! I had since unsubscribed to whatever it was and hadn't kept the email so now I'm having to wait another 30 days for an offer to turn green. It is not quick!

toastytea · 19/04/2020 09:11

Ooh what's this complaints task? I've got a couple neevo tasks which I'm not bothering with as money isn't great!

FizzyWaterMelon · 19/04/2020 15:44

Has anyone used Upwork? Seems similar to people per hour where you bid for jobs. They have a good variety of jobs but I’m not sure about the time spent putting together proposals etc with no guarantee of getting the job.

Buster27 · 19/04/2020 15:54

Finally got access to Oz on Appen, seems alright so far. Also got work on a transcription project on there so got enough work to be getting on with, just need to knuckle down for the rest of the month as I've been a bit crap at putting in the hours this month.

I'd kind of forgotten about prolific but have been making an effort to log on the last few days and it's been quite busy. I got onto one that consists of multiple tasks for a few weeks, so hopefully that will be an easy £60 assuming I complete them all. (though it will only be paid in May, but nice to have a decent earner lined up already).

curdsandwhey · 19/04/2020 17:01

Yes Prolific is really good! Just have a tab open in your browser all the time and you'll see whenever something new arrives. Most of the surveys are really interesting too. I only joined last week and I've already done five surveys
