£10 a day thread, January part two

I'm so happy to see the thread has been ticking along with so many new people joining us Grin

It's been a shitty couple of weeks for me. I started out the new year with an awful sore throat, and it turns out I have glandular fever, so I've been too exhausted for any serious money making.

I'm actually really enjoying Chip! It's proving to be a great way to stash all the little bits of money from profilic etc. so I can see it actually adding up to something.

This morning I've switched bank accounts (£100 for joining, then £100 if I leave unhappy in six months) and managed to reduce my life insurance policy by £9 a month, and get £85 cashback for doing so via Quidco, so I'm trying to be productive.

Hope everyone is having a good January.

Cloudworker and Operadorchat - think I need to sign up to one of these. Can anyone tell me is it log on and off when you want or do you have to book shifts? Also is there work available during the day or mainly evening and weekends?

Did anyone ever get anywhere with modsquad?

Madre77 · 13/01/2020 17:15

@anxiouswaiting yes cloudworker urge you to book shifts. I don't bother but I can now see that the queue of messages go to those who did first so some times I'm online but not doing anything . Operator Chat is a bit more stringent with their messages. You need to send 125 Monday to Thursday and 125 Friday to Sunday. They are both log on when you like but Cloudworkers is super busy over the weekend whilst operatorchat went silent at some points. Both are busy in the evenings though and steady earners once you get the hang of them. I hope this helps.

I have a free trade link if anyone wants

freetrade.io/freeshare/?code=SUSQ6NRILR&sender=XsS3D0Sz

toastytea · 13/01/2020 17:43

Anyone using topcashback - go to account/membership and check that you are on classic not plus or you'll be charged £5 a month (money comes out of your cashback)

bookgirl1982 · 13/01/2020 17:49

Just managed to get a Freetrade link, will see what the free share brings!

Do people manage tasks/mystery shopping with a baby in tow? There are a couple on roamler near me which look good but they are 'announced'. I'd do them with baby asleep in a sling but don't want to break any rules.

justtheonethen · 13/01/2020 18:00

Thanks @themoneyshed I'll see if there is one there that hasn't been used!

SimplyBlue · 13/01/2020 18:35

@lynsey91 I assume the screen lock is for added security. When you get the freetrade app you have to set up a pin lock on the actual app itself.

BertieBotts · 13/01/2020 18:37

Yes, I did one today with DS2 with me in the buggy. It's good cover actually because you don't look so suspicious hanging around in an aisle for ages, people assume you're just sleep deprived :o

SimplyBlue · 13/01/2020 18:38

Does anyone use sweatcoin and know roughly how far you need to walk to earn anything?

I used to do a lot of running, but my mobility is quite limited now so I'm not sure it would be worth it for me? I don't like the thought of my journeys being tracked by strangers anyway (though Google always know where I am so I guess it doesn't matter that much), but I won't bother if I'm unlikely to make much.

Also - does it count your movement at home, or do you have to push a button when you start a journey or something?

SimplyBlue · 13/01/2020 18:39

Sorry, I mean does it count all movement including just walking about at home if you have your phone on you, or only specific trips outside of the house if you have told it you're going for a walk etc

ZetaPuppis · 13/01/2020 18:56

I’ve had a payment from Neevo for $0.36 for a task I started then got kicked off.

ConfusedPupMama · 13/01/2020 20:02

How do you get a code for Roamler?

BertieBotts · 13/01/2020 20:20

Interested about the movement one. I've put Cashwalking on today, but that was just the result of a random app store click. If Sweatcoin (ew) is better I'll try that. For cashwalking it says I need to do 3000 steps per day to get anything. It's counted some indoor steps as well.

macaroniandpizza · 13/01/2020 20:26

Joining this thread with my 20cogs balance now at £100.50... feel a bit better about it now 😂

Buster27 · 13/01/2020 20:30

Just checking in, I have hardly done anything in January so far Blush so not much to report unfortunately. Struggled to get back into the swing of things after Christmas and then was away for a week - must put more effort in for the second half of the month or my Jan earnings will be pitiful!

The work is finished on my Appen projects so I must get stuck into Crisp now. May also take a look at utest.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 13/01/2020 20:32

I've been using sweatcoin for a few months and have earned about 700 sweatcoins. I'm aiming for the £1k you get when you earn 20000. Might take me a couple of years but I just have it in the background which isn't a big deal.
My referral link is below if anyone needs it.

sweatco.in/i/jen946321 Check out this free app 👆 It pays to walk!

BertieBotts · 13/01/2020 20:39

Oh yeah that sounds a lot better than the cashwalking one which I've just checked and you have to do about 10,100 steps to earn $0.01 Hmm

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 13/01/2020 20:45

Need to earn a bit extra this month as today I've been to the vet with my dog who somehow has a sprained wrist. Plus I've had to pay for DS's school residential!

Spendy day!

Madre77 · 13/01/2020 20:50

For anyone joining payoneer when working on Appen projects.

BertieBotts · 13/01/2020 20:50

Oh, is that $1000 payout the only payout option they do? That's disappointing. I'll see how many points I rack up over a week or so.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 13/01/2020 20:55

Apparently they do other cash offers sometimes but I haven't seen any yet!

spacepoppers · 13/01/2020 21:03

@GachaBread I did my first BeMyEye today, but I found the tool for taking the bay pics really confusing..they will probably be rejected. Any top tips, or any way I can practice outside of the 'live' job?

BertieBotts · 13/01/2020 21:17

There is supposed to be a tutorial in the app, but I couldn't find it.

Some of mine got rejected. Some for being an inconsistent distance, some for not being straight - annoyingly that particular shelf has 45 degree angles on it, so really tricky to get it actually appearing straight. I will try again and hopefully they won't reject me.

I found I didn't know how to do it when e.g. they wanted me to photograph face creams, and I found them in 3 different places, one for men's, one for women's and one near the body creams. There was no button to "start separate shelf" so I just had to continue one as though it was one shelf when it was a new one.

GachaBread · 13/01/2020 21:22

@spacepoppers I assume this is a pet shop store task. This tasks are the hardest tasks to ever feature on BeMyEye. I myself have had them rejected as have many other eyes. Take my advice just do not do them. No other task on BeMyEye will have that stupid camera thing on it apart from those so keep your eyes peeled for other jobs.

Check out the Facebook page you will see all the anger and frustration from people all over who have tried to do them.

GachaBread · 13/01/2020 21:24

@BertieBotts what task did you try out as that sounds like a new one I have not saw yet?
