CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL - TUESDAY 12th - FRIDAY 15th MARCH 2019

The offers I am planning to take advantage of are:-

  • Skybet - money back as cash if you lose - up to £20 - 1st Race every day of the festival. Expected Value: £16 per day, £64 in total
  • betway - if your horse loses in the first or last race at Cheltenham each day, we’ll refund you with a Free Bet up to £/€10 in each race. Expected Value: £6 per race, £48 in total
  • Ladbrokes - £1 free bet each day of the festival. Expected Value: £0.70 per race, £2.80 in total
  • William Hill - I have a few £5 free bets already set up which should credit to be used on Tuesday.
  • Matchbook- £20 free bet sign up offer.

I'm interested in the extra place offers offered by Betfred & Paddy Power but don't think I know enough about horse racing to do these and also I will only be online early morning and evenings after 9pm. Also the double winnings at Coral are interesting. I wish I understood the offers at Betfair Sportsbook & Exchange as these are probably good too. I might look into all these a bit more.

I've discounted using Racebets and Sportspesa as they have bad reviews and/or are super quick to gub. I didn't get the Bet365 offer Sad or I'd be taking full advantage of that!

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm feeling a bit bamboozled, so much so that I'm just want to close the laptop down and run away and forget the whole thing is happening! So to keep my sanity, I'm probably going to choose just a few good offers as listed above and concentrate on those and maybe some Cheltenham casino offers too. I'm aware there's stacks of cash to be made though, hopefully you are going for the big £££! That being said, I'd absolutely love your tips and to hear your plans so thay we can make some money together! It's also be interesting to know targets. Mine is £250 for the week but this will include weekly stuff (bet clubs, price boosts, darts) and also casino.

If anyone has bet as a matched bettor at Cheltenham before, I (and am sure everyone!) would be grateful for your advice and help so please post!

@Coppermine Me too re. the non close matches. I'm still trying to place the 15:30 Paddy Power if Alterior wins vet using the trigger bet calculator but the odds are wild!

Very pleased you got the Bet365 offer too! And for £50!

@PandaSky, oh no! I am anxiously awaiting my placing outcomes from the 14:50! No TV in the car!

Yay I got a 5th place with Paddy Power! Won at bookie and exchange! I can't work out how much I've made but will report back!

Fast racing is a pretty good site for results if you’re not near a tele, odds do seem worse than yesterday for matches

Coppermine · 13/03/2019 16:07

I've got a headache today from doing all this solidly Sad

ListenLinda · 13/03/2019 16:37

The odds on OM aren't matching what's on the bookmakers website, what is best to do ?
Does it make that much difference?

Golden0ldie · 13/03/2019 16:55

I'm using mobile data. Min 2gb a day!! Hope to heavens the router arrives tomorrow!!

thefavourite · 13/03/2019 16:56

Me too @Coppermine, but I feel loads better than yesterday when I had the keto flu! I started low carbing on Monday, my timing could have been better!

I didn't end up betting on the 15:30 with Paddy Power in the end as I couldn't get a good match with a locked in profit, but wish I'd punted it now for the FB as Altrior (sp?) won! I have no idea how much I made from the PP 5th place. I had more than one bet on the race so I can see I made £29 with Paddy but can't work out what I made on exchange. Both win and place market won on exchange.

I cannot get a close match on the last race to do the Moplay offer, qls are too high (£2.50+) - wish I wasnt driving home between 5 & 5.30pm!

Golden0ldie · 13/03/2019 16:56

Don't forget the football offers tonight ... golden goal, Bet365 free bet and think Betfred have something too. Must check Paddy.

thefavourite · 13/03/2019 17:01

All over it GL!

Moplay is a joke! I turned down a £1.74 so earlier in the afternoon, now the lowest so I can get is £4!

miltonroad · 13/03/2019 17:02

Paddy’s got money back if Bayern win - trigger’s selected markets.

thefavourite · 13/03/2019 17:02

£ 1.74 ql not so!

Well I've been at work since early, just in to see on of my no risk bets won the first race!! So I've made £160 profit if I get the stake back ok from sky bet and matchbook Smile

I've not read up any more on the matched stuff and the posts above read like gibberish to my tired brain so I'll see if any of the 3 are offering me any free bets (might as well) and start looking properly at matching bets at the weekend I think.

Thanks to you guys for pointing out the no risk bets Flowers

StereophonicallyChallenged · 13/03/2019 17:13

one of my

Coppermine · 13/03/2019 17:44

Well I've had a rubbish day. One bet didn't lay and lost. Another bet I forgot to tick the freebet box so used real money and lost a couple of quid. Odd matches were shockingly poor so any free bets coming won't be as good. Did get any extra places.

And now the races are over it's on to the bloody football. I don't think I could do this full time you know!!

Coppermine · 13/03/2019 18:40

Just been reading on Facebook that people are making big profits by dutching extra place races - so backing the entire field so one has to place in the extra place. There is a guide on OM I'm just reading. Anyone done this?

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/03/2019 19:35

£13 on sky.
£1 qual loss on a fb if placed 2/3. Horse trailed in near the end of the field.

£7 fb on football.

No not dutched.

thefavourite · 13/03/2019 19:46

Wagered £20 on PP Premium roulette and came out evens to get a £5 FB for the Gold Cup.

KOKOagainandagain · 13/03/2019 19:46

I still have no idea on how much I have made as I don't have time to fill in my spreadsheet despite spending over 10 hours today. I have reverted to backing and laying without using oddsmatcher as a lot of offers are specific to a certain race. I seem to get closer odds with high odds but it is costing dearly on the exchange. I am also having to visit sites online and using mobile to find offers and FBs that have been silently made available for that day or 1st race the next day.

I am even dreaming (literally) about wearing a wax jacket to brave the weather as my sleep has been disturbed by the high winds Grin

thefavourite · 13/03/2019 19:47

I think that how people make hundreds and thousands Copper, by dutching the field for races playing extra places and using various offers and shops to get it covered. I admire them but these past two days have me scunnered already!

OP posts:
Coppermine · 13/03/2019 21:06

Phew... thanks to all the footie offers I've ended up having a better day than yesterday, £76 and lots of free bets for tomorrow. I'm done for today though!

thefavourite · 13/03/2019 21:10

How are you getting on with GG @Coppermine? I am watching with bated breath. I backed Bayern but locked in so because Liverpool scored first, I need Bayern to win and I make £98!

OP posts:
Coppermine · 13/03/2019 21:12

I did the bloody opposite again 😫😫😫 I needed BM to score first then lose.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you though!

Coppermine · 13/03/2019 21:14

I just picked the best lock in profit. That's the strategy I think I have to stick with.

Coppermine · 13/03/2019 21:15

It's the Bet365 that's saved me today, nice £37 profit Grin

thefavourite · 13/03/2019 21:27

Bollocks.

Chances of Bayern getting 2 goals in 20 mins?
