Anyone up for an earn £10 a day challenge this year?

Otterses · 02/01/2019 08:06

I was wondering if anyone would like to join me Smile truth be told I really need the support!

Having DS has reduced my savings, and ability to save now that I'm paying for childcare. So my aim this year is to make £3650, or £10 a day which sounds far less terrifying.

I just thought this would be a great idea to share ideas for earning extra money and cheering each other on. Way better than just staring at a spreadsheet.

Soooooo here it goes.

Day One - £33.37/3650

£22.87 matched betting, and £10.61 Leapforce.

Make £10 a day? Sounds interesting - I’m bereft if ideas though...

outreach29 · 02/01/2019 08:24

What do you do for Leapforce? Just googled that and it so vague I can't work out what you actually do?

In fact it made me a little suspicious that your post is looking for people to join Leapforce....

Sorry if that isn't the case

Otterses · 02/01/2019 08:34

Not looking for people to join at all outreach! It just happens to be how I made my £10 ish yesterday.

It's vague online because if you are selected and given a contract, for the majority of projects you have to sign a non disclosure, so people can't go into heaps of detail about what they do. The work really ranges depending on the project you're accepted onto, it can be anything from rating ads for Facebook, to doing voice work for Alexa. It is completely legit, been around for years etc. Lots of information about them on The Money Shed forums and I think on Reddit too if you're interested in finding out more. I should ad though it isn't a long term income source, it's essentially crowd sourcing and your contract can be terminated at any time.

LordProf certainly doesn't have to be £10 a day. It could be any amount manageable Smile I'll certainly be getting stuck for ideas in a couple of months time when my LF contract is likely to end. I think I'll most likely end up selling things around the house and trying to take on some temp work.

Hi

I did MB a few years ago. I thought the offers had dried up. I was gubbed by a few too. Are there non complicated offers still out there?

I have joined a survey site too made £5 yesterday.
Was looking at the amazon crowd sourcing thing too. Hmm

champagneplanet · 02/01/2019 11:46

I've dipped in and out of Matched Betting throughout the year. Spent my initial profits and started again early Nov, since then i'm made approx £700 profit, it's very doable.

Interested in looking into Leapforce, never heard of that....

Otterses · 02/01/2019 15:05

I'm only just getting going with MB to be honest Stopit, but it looks sustainable with reload offers. I'm using profit accumulator which is holding my hand through the whole thing, which I really need. I'm doing cashback when I can with sign up offers, like at the moment I'm Quidco you get £20 for £10 deposited with Betfair Exchange.

That's really good to hear Champagne Smile glad it's working out for you! Is there a particular site you use out of interest? Leapforce is pretty good, as long as you can get work on there and there are projects available to work on.

Again, I'm really not trying to sell LF to anyone. When I first heard of it I didn't hours researching it and even set up another bank account in case it all went tits up Blush

I've been trying to think of other ideas. Cashback sites like Ohmydosh I need to have a proper go at. It looks like easy cash as long as you remember to cancel subscriptions and things after free trials.

@Otterses Sign up to Profit Accumulator for tutorials and offers, there's a monthly charge but is paid for with a couple of free bets and is well worth the money for odds matching alone. The Team Profit group on facebook is also excellent.

Otterses · 03/01/2019 07:44

Profit Accumulator seems fantastic Champagne Smile I cant believe how easy they make it! I've done two offers this morning, so should be about £25 up by lunchtime. I really hope I can keep up the momentum with matched betting.

I did get a very exciting sounding market research thing from Angelfish yesterday for £500 ... sadly didn't qualify. It's aimed at foodies who share their meals on social media, so not me I'm afraid Grin

I also had a look at RedWigWam yesterday - though I'm not sure I have the patience for mystery shopping.

02/01 - £20 cashback and £10.61 leapforce. Total £30.61

£63.98/£3560

Well I just changed my gas supplier and ‘earned’ £50! I have a code if anyone wants to switch too and get )£50 off!

Otterses · 03/01/2019 08:36

Ohhh that's fantastic Lord! It certainly all counts Smile and better in your pocket than someone else's.

I may take you up on that - I need to find out if we can change supplier or if we genuinely are stuck with our current one.

03/01 - £12.87 matched betting and £10.61 LF today. Aiming for a bet a day at the moment, but I'm waiting on a couple of sites like MoPlay to release my winnings so I can keep going. I may attempt the Ladbrokes casino offer ... but they scare me a bit!

New laptop is arriving tomorrow Grin so I'm going to see what other money-making schemes I can attempt.

Total - £87.46/3650

OP posts:
stopitandtidyupp · 03/01/2019 20:41

Well done.

I don't know what I am doing wrong with match betting. I have done all the sign up offers but it just doesn't seem
Like it used to be. Sigh.

Otterses · 04/01/2019 08:10

I think the reload offers seem to be the money makers stopit. I think I'll lose motivation a bit once the easier offers start to dwindle.

MoPlay released my money, so I've placed a few qualifying bets. Only stand to make £6.27 today though while I'm waiting for the free bets. So today may be a day to get creative Grin

I have a Christmas scratch card my mum gave me that I won £4 on. Maybe today is the day to cash it in.

Otterses · 05/01/2019 09:04

I discovered Profilic Academic yesterday, so gained and extra £6.87 from a survey. With the usual MB and LF, I made £23.75 yesterday.

I've also got £100 coming at some point this month from a market research/survey panel type thing through work about our pension company. I totally forgot I had applied, and got a reminder email yesterday that it starts on Monday. Dreading it a bit as it involves making videos of me talking about my attitude towards money 😂 I'm quite awkward in front of a camera.

How're you getting on Lord and Stopit?

£111.21/£3650

I am on PA too but only seems to get the odd 70p surveys and I refresh it all of the time.

Well this week as back to work next week.

stopitandtidyupp · 05/01/2019 09:47

I also joined opinion outpost. Have had a few things in the post to try such as crisps and ice cream but the pay out isn't huge.

stopitandtidyupp · 05/01/2019 09:48

Is LF now called Appen? I was trying to research it.

Otterses · 05/01/2019 10:08

Stopit Appen now own Leapforce, I think the proper take over was just before Christmas. I stand by that the thread on The Money Shed was what really sold LF to me, it was about five years worth of people discussing it so it seemed quite genuine. Full of lots of good information too before you join (and after too).

Shame to hear about PA Sad clearly my £6 odd survey was a rarity then! Opinion Outpost sounds fun, even if it's not huge amounts of money it'll all add up.

I'm back at work next week too. I'm hoping I can use my commute productively to keep cracking with the money making.

It could just be me. Maybe I don't fit the demographic. PA is a lot more interesting than outpost which can be a bit of a slog. Have probably made £20 in the six weeks I have done it.

stopitandtidyupp · 05/01/2019 11:32

Also what are the tasks like on Appen? I am worried I find them too hard. Especially with work too.

Otterses · 05/01/2019 12:13

I can only speak for the project if I'm on, I do Advert Rating. Web search evaluation looks way harder, and I there are lots more projects that I know nothing about! The site has a really good Social section too where you can ask about projects before you apply.

Honestly, it's easy. I can easily do it while watching TV. You can do it in bits and pieces throughout the day, I tend to do 10 ads in the morning, and 10 in the evening. You essentially state if an ad is relevant to you, if it's entertaining, etc. A total of about 5 sentences for each ad.

If you look up the Nile project you may get a bit more information.

OP posts:
stopitandtidyupp · 05/01/2019 13:01

Thank you.

Do you have to have a test to apply?

Otterses · 05/01/2019 15:38

Not for Nile. However I think most have exams.
