Anyone up for an earn £10 a day challenge this year?

Otterses · 02/01/2019 08:06

I was wondering if anyone would like to join me Smile truth be told I really need the support!

Having DS has reduced my savings, and ability to save now that I'm paying for childcare. So my aim this year is to make £3650, or £10 a day which sounds far less terrifying.

I just thought this would be a great idea to share ideas for earning extra money and cheering each other on. Way better than just staring at a spreadsheet.

Soooooo here it goes.

Day One - £33.37/3650

£22.87 matched betting, and £10.61 Leapforce.

Oh I forgot to add Prolific - a measly £9.03 in a whole month and I check all the time

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 31/01/2019 19:17

Wow, misstiggiwinkle, that's fab. Well done!

Just off to add mine up...

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 31/01/2019 19:24

From 10th Jan

What Users Do - £90
User Testing - £75
Intellizoom - £31.50
Prolific Academic - £29.05
Trading 212 - £35.66 (if sold now)

Total - £267.61

Thanks Otterses, i was only averaging £100 a month previously so well happy :-)

misstiggiwinkle · 31/01/2019 19:36

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock how much work is WhatUsersDo and User Testing? Keen to give them a try if they don't take up too much time

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 31/01/2019 19:44

Most tests take 20 mins max, sometimes less. They pay £5 and $10 respectively. I really enjoy it but tests are not very regular. I'm a SAHM mum so around most of the day.

Otterses · 31/01/2019 20:24

@TidaQuel I saw a really good guide somewhere for 'restarting' matched betting! I'll try to find it for you.

@misstiggiwinkle I'm genuinely speechless. You should be so proud of yourself.

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock I can't believe how well you're doing with the testing sites! Hopefully that'll build even more over the year as you get a reputation Grin

Nothing from me today! Just got in from the shelter, it's been a rather mentally taxing evening, so not up for any money making antics. I think I may write off Thursdays and call them a 'day off'.

I'm so proud of all of you 😭 I can't believe how much this thread has taken off.

misstiggiwinkle wow!

and otterses this is a great thread, I keep coming back and it inspires me to do more! Thank you!

startingafresh1 · 31/01/2019 21:20

This thread is all down to you Otterses. Thank you for starting it and keeping it going. It's given me so many ideas and I'm really going to need them now!!!

Hope you feel a little less drained tomorrow, sounds like this evening's volunteering was difficult. You certainly deserve a rest on Thursdays.

namechangedforanon · 31/01/2019 22:35

2ellenor - loads of people on the fb groups do it , we have separate bank accounts , same IP sometimes as I do a lot after work on a building ( not work WiFi) , different registered addresses luckily !

namechangedforanon · 31/01/2019 22:41

Everyone is doing so well 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

This weekend I need to find some time and go through the thread and make a list of everything - I will try and make an online list of all the options as I will need this for myself anyway to catch up !

ChakiraChakra · 31/01/2019 23:20

Wow! Just made £77.06 on casino... most of which was on the qualifying bet before I even got to the free spins! 😯 😁

2ellenor2 · 01/02/2019 03:31

Wow well done Chakira
I struggle with casino offers as I always end up going over the free spins and using real money and then I lose 😓 need tips on how to stop myself.

PS are we doing a new thread for February?
My feb goal is £200 as I’m due a baby this month so will be taking time away from my laptop

Otterses · 01/02/2019 04:58

I'll pop a new thread for February up and link it in a bit Grin I'm going through trying to get all of the ideas we've had in a list so I can pop it in the first post.

ChakiraChakra · 01/02/2019 05:49

Thanks Otterses that would be good :)

2ellenor2 can you say why you end up going over? If it's a free spins one, I try to be veerrrryyyy diligent about checking on the first one that I'm on the free spins not cash, Even then I still got caught out for one spin twice yesterday on games I wasn't familiar with. I have a pad of paper and a pen by my side, note my starting balance, and keep a tally if it's a bonus I have to wager through. Free spins it's usually obvious if it's got the free spins logo, and I go mindfully on each one, especially when it gets under 10.

ChakiraChakra · 01/02/2019 05:52

Oh and I'm finding it best to have max lines per spin - the one I won on yesterday I needed to wager £10 in 5+ spins, and I went with 20 lines per spin @ 10p a line, £2 per spin.

2ellenor2 · 01/02/2019 09:19

It’s just me gambling, I keep thinking I’ll get a big hit next time. I think I’ve only lost £10 in total so it’s not that bad

@Otterses how does the tax work for Appen? I've had confirmation of my first project and signed all the paperwork but not sure how to declare tax etc?

Great work everyone.

I haven't made £10 A day, but
£40 Facebook sale
£87 eBay
£26 Prolific
$50 User Testing (around £40)
£25 ipsos survey
£27 Trading 212
£15 Qmee

Actually, is a lot more than I realised when written down!

Otterses · 01/02/2019 14:21

@Mummabear2212 that's fantastic news! Nile? I registered as self employed and declared my earnings that way Smile

Mummabear2212 · 01/02/2019 14:23

With HMRC?

The project is called Truckee!

Otterses · 01/02/2019 14:24

Anyway! Off to rescue DS from nursery, then I'll pop up a new thread. Grin

namechangedforanon · 01/02/2019 15:27

Otterses - do you want to do the list or shall I? If you don't have time I can do it tomorrow!
