@MrsMGE damn girl! Love Doritos! I’m at my friends tonight, we’re going to Italy with her and her OH in a couple of weeks. I’ve been doing good Hun, how are you?

bananamonkey · 18/08/2019 06:26

Thanks @MrsMGE I just remembered someone I know had it for IVF so maybe I could ask her. I’m struggling a bit with feeling anxious as I’m normally pretty laid back so it could be worth a try. The Doritos made me laugh, I’ve eaten 2 big bars of dairy milk this week, I eat to cope with stress which is not good Blush

SunStruck · 18/08/2019 13:26

@MrsMGE that's a great plan! :)

I really doubt it will be this month because I've been drinking and eating what I wanted everyday, have definitely not been healthy! I am going to test on Thursday probably, or Friday if the period hasn't come by then.

Unfortunately straight back to work today - I live in the Middle East, and our weekend is Fri-Sat. So Sunday is like our Monday :)

Catconfusion · 19/08/2019 09:16

Hey @MrsMGE it was lovely thank you. We had a date night on Saturday so I’ve been a bit knackered since as we did loads of walking. Unfortunately the nausea is in full swing now. It’s ok though I’m just glad to be in this situation and get a shot at it again. How are you feeling in the run up to the funeral? I appreciate this is going to be a tough week for you. My thoughts are with you! Xx

SunStruck · 20/08/2019 04:42

Hi ladies how is everyone?

My temp dropped a lot this morning so certain AF around the corner! I'm going full steam ahead for next month instead 🤣 I'm gonna do SMEP as well as temp/OPK and eat very healthily (these few weeks have not been as on holiday, so didn't expect it to happen this month to be honest).

MrsMGE · 20/08/2019 08:39

Hi girls!

The funeral is on Thursday. I had my acupuncture session and I feel ready to face it now.

On a pregnancy-related front, no AF, no PMS, and a BFN this morning 🤦🏼‍♀️ It doesn't make any sense. I am slightly freaked out that maybe I didn't ovulate last cycle and it wasn't a "proper" AF last time. I'm scared to start tracking the next cycle because what if there's something wrong? That's of course if the next cycle even starts...

@SunStruck I'll be on the same bandwagon as you, lovely, just hoping for this stupid AF now! How are you feeling after the holiday? Hope the holiday spirit will last a while 😘 xxx

MrsMGE · 20/08/2019 08:42

Also I've been overeating because of stress in the last 3 weeks. Don't get me wrong, I'm not morbidly obese, but I'm not comfortable anymore, the stretchy dresses came out of the wardrobe. I need to get my act together ASAP! I might go cycling this weekend and gym tomorrow Xxx

SunStruck · 20/08/2019 14:35

@MrsMGE oh hun, take care of yourself (and each other) at the funeral 😔

Sorry to hear your AF hasn't arrived, when was it due? Mine hasn't either so just waiting. I also got a BFP this morning, at 9 DPO. My luteal phase is short though so I'm sure it would have shown by now, and AF should come today.

Hand-hold next month for us, we'll give it our best shot! 😄 ❤️ yes let's encourage each other to be healthy (my downfall really is wine on the weekends). I'm at the gym 5 days a week before work (I have a sedentary office job so I have to), but weekends are relaxed 😄

Unfortunately this week has been relentless work-wise, as always when you get back from holiday 🤦🏻‍♀️

MrsMGE · 20/08/2019 15:38

@SunStruck Did you mean a BFN?? Omg I got so excited when I first read your post!

Yes, let's be each other's motivation next month! Girl power 💪💪💪 Rainbow babies are coming 🌈❤️❤️❤️

I also have an office job and used to be good gym-wise, but in pregnancy and after the MMC I wasn't feeling great and my head wasn't in it. My gym buddy is also going through a tough time and she's not been for a few months. I've let myself go, and really need some motivation to get back on track!

Also sorry to hear it's super busy straight away, I'm having a fairly ok week, but all hell will break loose from next week/early September, I can already tell! Xxx

SunStruck · 20/08/2019 16:28

@MrsMGE hahah oh good you corrected me! Of course I meant BFN!

Yeah let's motivate each other 😊 yeah in my field of work, Sept onwards is super busy too so it won't get better for a while I think, but that's ok. Better to keep busy :)

The one really annoying thing with my cycles is that they're so long 😔 ovulating around day 25, it's ridiculous. We don't have as many chances to get pregnant as someone with regular 28 day cycles, ovulating day 14...

MrsMGE · 20/08/2019 16:50

@SunStruck No, I know, mine are a bit longer too, very rarely under 30 days, more so anything between 32-34-35 and judging on the basis of when I hot pregnant, I also ovulate later in the cycle. Frustrating!

Kiki061190 · 20/08/2019 17:43

Hey @SunStruck I’ve heard amazing things about the SMEP! Fingers crossed for you! My work is also hectic just now but it’s kept me busy which is great for passing time.

Will be thinking of you on Thursday @MrsMGE Also completely understand what you’re saying about not going to the gym ect! I’ve been bad this past few months! Everyone has a naughty few months tho right 😉

OP posts:
Kiki061190 · 20/08/2019 17:45

@SunStruck also totally feel for you having long cycles! You must need to have so much patience! @Catconfusion ovulates late as well and I have a regular 28day cycle so you’re totally right about having more chances to get pregnant with a more shorter cycle as you’re not waiting so long between ovulations. Hang in there! Do you use the digital opks?

OP posts:
Catconfusion · 20/08/2019 18:07

@SunStruck I feel your pain. I ovulate 30-40 days in with then a 16 day wait for AF. That’s only 6-8 cycles a year. This pregnancy was conceived on day 32. As frustrating as it is the length of the luteal phase is the most important. 10 plus days is best xx

SunStruck · 20/08/2019 18:15

@Kiki061190 @Catconfusion thank you for the support! It's just quite disheartening. Sorry you also have long cycles @MrsMGE 😔

Does Clomid help to shorten the cycles? My cycles are not that irregular, they're just long. My luteal phase is quite short, 9 days.

Yes I use everything... Digital OPK, temping (Naturalcycles), mucus check... so I know I'm ovulating.

Kiki061190 · 20/08/2019 18:28

I’m sure there is some remedies to lengthen your luteal phase @SunStruck I can understand your frustration tho! That’s good you know you ovulate tho, fingers crossed for some September BFPs for you and @MrsMGE

OP posts:
MrsMGE · 20/08/2019 18:33

Guys... this is a ridiculous question, but I'll ask anyway... I got myself confused with this whole O tracking business... is the luteal phase the same as fertile days? I am guessing it is, as it's the surge in luteal hormone, which indicates we're fertile, right?

bananamonkey · 20/08/2019 18:39

@MrsMGE Luteal phase is from ovulation to AF, so after the fertile phase.

it’s annoying when your cycles are unpredictable, mine are 30-35 days now. I put on half a stone after the ERPC and have still to lose it Blush

Catconfusion · 20/08/2019 18:43

No problem @SunStruck it is really frustrating. Good that you have some regularity with O for timing dtd. I have heard of clomid being used to being ovulation forward. It might be worth asking your doctor for a fertility referral, especially with you luteal phase being on the shorter side. It might also be worth getting progesterone checked as well if you haven’t already. Angus Castus might be something to try. Also Vit C and Omega 3. I hope you get some luck soon. It’s so tough when cycles don’t fit a normal pattern. It’s great that you are ovulating though and I’m sure supplements or drug treatment would help. Xx

Catconfusion · 20/08/2019 18:47

@bananamonkey I still haven’t lost the half stone I put on. It’s strangely felt like my body was clinging to it maybe part of not completely letting go of the pregnancy. I’m not going to weigh myself but I’m sure I’ve put on a bit already. My jeans are tight. I’m refusing to wear maternity clothes until I’m 12 weeks though. It was horrible saying goodbye to the maternity jeans last time. Xx

Kiki061190 · 20/08/2019 18:50

@MrsMGE Luteal phase is the phase between O and AF! I had no idea until this year that it was a thing either! Mines is tally 12-13 days which is quite healthy I think. Any idea how long yours is?

OP posts:
Kiki061190 · 20/08/2019 18:51

@bananamonkey @Catconfusion it’s a constant cycle as a woman of trying to lose weight! So easy to put it on and hard to lose it😂

OP posts:
bananamonkey · 20/08/2019 19:01

I just put on and lose the same half stone all the time 😂 I’m exercising and eating healthy food, just supplementing with lots of chocolate, I’m a terrible comfort eater!

MrsMGE · 20/08/2019 19:06

@Catconfusion I was in my normal clothes at 10 wks (although very bloated and puffy), my maternity clothes arrived the day after my miscarriage! I burst into tears and said to myself I will never order any before the second trimester next time!

So I'd better get on with losing weight!

Re luteal phase then...because I think mine must be around 9 days (but only judging on the basis of my first pregnancy, I have never tracked, as you now). Is this long or short? And is this good or bad and why?

MrsMGE · 20/08/2019 19:08

@bananamonkey My friend said last year before Christmas "I swear to God, I've lost the same stone 7 times!", it cracked me up what you said now 😂 Too true, isn't it just!
