Pregnancy after D&C

Hi everyone,

I am just wondering when any of you lovely ladies got caught pregnant after your D and C? I had mine back in May and I’ve had 1 period so far, I’m due on this Wednesday (10th July) I’m really hoping I don’t but I’m getting all the signs that I will.

I can’t bare to see another negative test and would love to hear some positive ones!

@Elles1980 sorry hun, but good it's going to be natural this time (like mine was). Fingers crossed quick and not too painful. Make sure you have some painkillers and a hot water bottle close x

And please do try to enjoy Christmas, mulled wine and allll the food - and after that we're all back in the saddle so to speak come next year 🐎 😂

@Elles1980 I'm sorry 😣😣 I'm hoping you have an easy natural management of it, I did at my last one at 11 weeks and felt surprisingly alright quite soon after but I know everyone's experience varies.

I'm off to guzzle said mulled wine, don't think drinking water for months with limited to no alcohol has done anything for me, so, might as well get into the Xmas spirit property.

Afternoon ladies, I do apologise for my miserable message Yesterday. I never needed medical management and I'm we'll still so I should be a bit more thankful. I went shopping with my pal this morning and bought myself a new coat and scarf and IV rejoined the gym (put on so much weight since may being pregnant and having miscarriages I was scared to move myself! So I'm trying to be a bit more positive today. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your support, it's weird it ment more to me than the few friends who knew. Oh is a mess himself so he's not great lol! Hope your all having a nice day xxx

Never apologise for how you feel @Elles1980. Glad you've had a nice day with your friend and treated yourself. I've also put on a ton of weight and struggling to lose it / get motivated.

Had my therapy session this morning, she's a clinical psychologist so seems a bit more experienced and trained. We explored where to focus the therapy and will be looking at unresolved grief and trauma, plus my mood. Feel exhausted now though xx

@VenusStarr aw bless you. It's fantastic that you are getting some help it may be something I look towards myself after Christmas coz this year has been (sitting pondering of the correct word to use for at least 3 minutes now) absolutely bollocks! I'm not sure anything nice has happened at all in fact. My year started on my birthday 7th Jan having lumber punctures and car scans and has declined from there! I do hope you feel better soon though! Did you have your hysteroscopy (sorry my heads up my ass and IV forgotten where we were 🤦🏻‍♀️), how are you feeling about TTC still? I think I'm still up for it but a wee break will be nice xxx

I feel the same @Elles1980, everything has happened and yet nothing has changed! I'm having my hysteroscopy in less than 2 weeks! The time has dragged but feeling a bit better now it's getting closer, just want it done now. Hopefully back onto ttc in December (Christmas!) if I'm OK to and we have a fertility clinic appointment in January too. Xxx

Hey ladies how are you doing? I really hope we all get our rainbow babes next year! My AF arrived yesterday and I'm just thinking that I won't be pregnant at my due date on December 18th 😔 so sick of this really, I think I might have had a chemical this cycle because I was a bit late and I thought I saw a shadow of a line... and it's heavy!

Anyway, I have the option to get fertility treatments (like clomid and injections) because I'm 36 and my cycles are long (35-39 days) to hurry everything up, but i just can't be arsed going to the Dr several times a week. If you're under treatment you need to be checked so you don't over stimulate your ovaries. This is not IVF though, it's just trying to get you to ovulate more than 1 egg every month for a higher success rate (but you have sex as normal, around ovulation time).

I was really hoping we would succeed naturally because I do ovulate every month, it's just a longer wait. 2 miscarriages messing up my cycles inbetween haven't helped though!

I think maybe I'll wait until the new year and then start trying with this if I don't catch in December?

Hey @SunStruck good to hear from you. I'm sorry that your af arrived. My came early last week, marking my last one before my operation next week. Feels like time is standing still. I just need to get the operation done now.

I'm not in a great place, started therapy last week - we're looking at trauma (essentially ptsd) and unresolved grief. A bit in shock really. Had a weekend full of triggers, had a nice day with dh yesterday but felt wiped out and flat by the end of the day.

I wonder if waiting until the new year would be a good option? So you can still try and hopefully succeed but if you don't concieve there's a plan in place? Might take the pressure off a bit.

Hey ladies I'm still alive and well and hanging in there!! @VenusStarr sent me a lovely message and o thought I should say hi! IV been gymming it and back to work and crying ALOT , partially due to TTC partially due to the gym hahaha! I do hope your all well. I'm trying to get in the festive spirit and struggling as baby 1 was due Xmas day and he went the furthest at just over 10 weeks. Trying not to dwell on it and keep myself busy. Sending Christmas cheer, crack, vodka, tinsel and slingshots to you all!! Do whatever it takes to have a merry Christmas 😂😘 xxx

@VenusStarr I'm sorry to hear you've not been feeling well, but it's great you're getting some counseling! How did your operation go?? Sorry I've been away for quite long, I've been busy with visitors for a week and a half and they are still here! After operation and healing I'm hoping you'll conceive early next year. That's to all of us! ❤️

@Elles1980 I'm glad to hear you're hanging in there too. I'm just waiting for my ovulation, same ok' Groundhog Day 😂😂😂 my app says 18th of December for O which is my Mmc's due date. Hopefully that's a sign?! I've been so naughty and been drinking A LOT and eating everything I wanted because we have just had a 5 day bank hols weekend here and people visiting from the UK staying with us. Probably need to cut down on drinking but is hard in December with all the Xmas parties etc coming up 🤦🏻‍♀️

I wish you and everyone all the very best. I'm going through a miscarriage right now. Got to know on Monday that baby didnt grow past 6 weeks. I'm shattered.
Wanted to know positive stories to lift myself up.. I dont know if itll happen naturally before I've my follow up scan on Monday where I've to choose what to go for!

@SunStruck tis the season to be jolly 🎄🍷🍾! Life goes on girls and even when TTC. I just lolled at myself, here again with my word of wisdom when I'm an erratic mess Lol! I can't even sort my own shit out but listen to my wiseness 😂😂😂! I woke up this morning and decided I'd start tacking again with my fertility monitor .... Is there something wrong with me 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️, it's a bloody obsession I can't get over. For 2 weeks solid I was like "nope not doing this again" and now I'm like ohhh that was so long ago I'm over that 😱😩😂🤦🏻‍♀️!! So please take no advice from me other than this, be happy. If having fun with friends and family having drinks and snacks makes you happy then so be it. If tripping up kids at work and pretending they fell over (obvi not me haha) so be it. Because happy ladies are relaxed and were more likely to be lucky if we're relaxed, I think anyways 🤷🏻‍♀️!
@Bee1710 aww bless you Hun, this is an awful thing. And like I said I waited and expected terrible things and it was weird because just like a period but less painful. I hope it passes for you like that also my lovely. I can tell you that this is the best thread EVER! These ladies listen to my bull and they have supported me through my very worst year bless them. We'll be here to hold your hand. I also get very excited when I see others positives and I'm looking forward to seeing them soon 😊. Hey @Elles1980 and all you lovely ladies. Sorry I've come off MN for a few weeks completely. I had good friends over to visit and I wanted to be phone free. I also wanted to not think of TTC and babies and anything else for a while 😊 I did of course think of you all! How is everyone??

I've had a tough few weeks of work, my boss and a whole load of colleagues have just been sacked due to a restructure, it's all been very stressful and weird and I've now been called for a meeting Monday with two other colleagues, with the MD and HR, so god knows what's around the corner.

I thought after burying my dad in February, and two MCs, that for 2019 I'd done my fair share of crap news! 🙄😓

I've my erpc scheduled for Monday so waiting for that. I'm bleeding since my first scan which was on 2nd December but they did scan again on 9th December and everything seems to be in place. So I'm going for surgery. A bit scared and nervous but hoping it will all go well! Pls wish me luck xx

@LASandOtto I feel your pain my love. 2019 can royally fuck off (pardon my language)!! It's been a nightmare beginning to end and I'll be glad to see the back of it!! It sounds like your being quite grounded and looking after yourself and that's fabulous. Who knows what the meeting may be about at work, heck it may even be good for you so I shall keep my fingers crossed. Like you I'd kept a little distance from MN and the whole TTC desperation. I was utterly dreading Xmas but IV gotten into the spirit as if I feel shitty it'll affect everyone around me and that is just not fair. I will allow my self to feel how I feel but in a healthy way that doesn't affect others 😊, turning 40 on Jan 7th makes me nervous, it's like someone's gonna say no more trying or something lol! Bloody statistics.

@Bee1710 I honestly can promise you that you will be fine my love. When I had to have it done I wouldn't even listen to risks or anything I told them straight if you want me to go through with it (I had no choice because I had a terrible hemmorage and cervical shock which stopped my heart, had to be rescucitated) then you had better let me sign don't talk to me about it and come get me right before, no messing about. And that's exactly what they did. They were wonderful. My biggest fear (I'm afraid of everything and take medication for severe anxiety) is being out to sleep and I did it like a boss!! You'll be just fine. Here to hold your hand at any point if you need it or have any questions or concerns feel free to message lovely ❤️, if I don't hear from you before I'll be thinking of you xxx

Hi, sorry this dropped off my list.

My hysteroscopy went well, had a polyp removed too. Hoping that might at least explain the second mc. My period arrived 5 days early, so we'll be resuming ttc this week. Can't believe it, finally!!
Annoyingly the hospital have lost my blood tests / results so having to get them redone tomorrow morning. Lost a bit of faith in the clinic. I'm back to the fertility clinic on 14th January and hope we'll get a plan 🤞

Im feeling okay had my surgery for yday but i miscarried last Friday and on a scan done on Sunday got to know that there are some products of conception left! So I passed some more clots on Sunday night and when I asked for another scan on Monday before surgery the consultant didn't offer me a scan as he said that there will always be sth there and your body is working so I dont think surgery is necessary for you. So I'm giving my body 2 weeks to do it now. Hope it passes everything and my hpt comes negative. Seems like a long wait.

All okay here thanks, we missed ovulation this month as it was one week early (never been this early before), so I've been given meds now for the next cycle (like Clomid) to make things happen faster.

@Elles1980 how are you holding up crazy lady?! 😁 hope you're getting into the festive spirit! I know we are trying with nothing to show for it, but let's forget all of that over Xmas, let's eat and drink everything in sight! We deserve it x

@Bee1710 hey hun theres nothing to worry about, the surgery is much better than natural (I've had both). It's also painless and you bleed less. Sending hugs!

@Elles1980 how are you doing? Im sorry i missed your comment regarding the surgery. It gives me confidence if in case I need it as right now I'm leaving it to happen naturally as I've miscarried most of it.
