Pregnancy after D&C

Hi everyone,

I am just wondering when any of you lovely ladies got caught pregnant after your D and C? I had mine back in May and I’ve had 1 period so far, I’m due on this Wednesday (10th July) I’m really hoping I don’t but I’m getting all the signs that I will.

I can’t bare to see another negative test and would love to hear some positive ones!

Hey here, sorry have been super busy! So after school yesterday (teaching pe not learning lol) I had a 2 hour nap lol! Then I went to bed and fell fast asleep just after 9pm which is unusual for me coz I'm a night owl. IV had more spotting and vivid dreams last night. Gentle cramping ......basically all of the things IV read that can be symptoms of implantation, so I'm having to ground myself a little coz this is the irrational me looking for things lol but other than that I'm all good Smile, glad you ladies are well too. I'm looking forward to a nice chilled weekend it's been a hectic week and I'm exhausted (oooooh look another symptom pahaha) lock me away xx

@Elles1980 this sounds very promising to me!!! Get that test done girl!

I’m so on edge but I think that’s understandable after having a miscarriage earlier this year. I want to get excited but I just can’t.. until I see my tiny 7 week baby on that screen I can relax abit more.

I’m thinking of starting a new thread on the pregnancy page to ask about success stories after a miscarriage, I feel these stories will keep me positive.

There's a pregnancy after loss thread in pregnancy @Lea89. It's hot graduates in the title. I'm on a thread on the conception board, it's for anyone who's had a pregnancy loss and the pregnancy board thread is women who're now pregnant again. One lady is nearly due. I lurk a bit but they're all really supportive in the early days and understand the anxiety.

I'm hoping to join them soon... No sign of af today. Might test again tomorrow or Sunday

Fingers crossed the cramping is a good sign @Elles1980 xx

Hi I had a missed miscarriage and had to have a dnc on the 9 may this year had period 2 June pregnant straight away I’m 5 weeks 5 days having slight cramps on one side which didn’t have this last time. Any advice xx

Hi @williams51...

My EPU advised me that cramping and spotting is totally normal in early pregnancy so I would worry too much about it. Maybe get checked out at your GP if you need reassurance.

Have you been offered an early scan? Xx

Hi @Lea89, af came suddenly on Friday afternoon. Pretty heavy but its pretty much over now, Cd4 and gearing up for my next fertile week over the weekend. We're going to try smep. Got a hysteroscopy in August so can squeeze one more cycle in before we're back at the fertility clinic in September.

I’m well, just really really tired 😴 my boobs are sore too and they’ve grown!!

Just patiently (she says) waiting for my scan on the 5th August xx

@VenusStarr so sorry for you Hun but your positivity is pretty amazing.... I'm still just waiting lol! My af ain't due until 23rd so I don't even know when I can test, I may have to wait another 8 days yet ladies, I feel something going on but to be honest it could be af getting ready Confused,
@Williams51 have you been checked Hun? It's best to rule out eptopic, I'd say don't panic but best to check to reassure yourself, obviously I hope all is well and please keep us posted Smile
@Lea89 bless you, your wee body is going through some major changes so I'd milk all those we aches and pains and try to get as much rest as possible! I'm sure after your scan you'll feel much much better hunni xxx

I’m going to ring the early pregnancy unit tomorrow to make a appointment for a scan not had pains for 2 days just got bad back sore boobies there massive and got heartburn xxx

@Williams51 I hope IV not worried you my lovely Sad, that wasn't my intention at all. Although now you've said no pain now that's a great sign as it would on my get worse so that's fab but still if you need reasuring ring, it won't hurt to get checked over, I hope your ok xx

Thank goodness I felt awful then lol! I always think we should get checked out, if it's making us question anyone we should question the doctors for sure! But here's to your sore boobies lol Nd let us know how you get on, I'm having all sorts of dodgey cramps and I'm so hungry IV just eaten in bed lol.... I think at is headed in my direction but just early xxx

Did my test it was negative, I'm resigned to the fact it won't happen this month as I had very light spotting in the middle of the night, it seems to have gone now but I'm a little crampy. I'm ok with it though just means more dtd with my gorgeous partner lol! Let us know how you get on Williams Flowers xx

I promised to keep you updated on my uterus... I'm pregnant! 😊 Very early days as only 14dpo today and af due on Tuesday, but I ovulated on cd10. So so happy but petrified of it all happening again. Hope you're well xx

@VenusStarr sooo happy for you !!! I've been following your journey too, as I've also had a miscarriage recently.

I'm currently trying again after d&c in June, first cycle we are allowed to try (had some retained products left, been soooo long this process). On day 5 of flashing smileys, is it normal to have this many days? I only had 2 days of flashing smileys before my solid prior to the miscarriage!

@VenusStarr massive congratulations!! I'm 1dpo so starting the dreaded 2ww again! Luckily I'm super busy for the next 2 weeks as I run sports camps week days in the holidays so I'll be kept occupied instead of sitting around thinking every thing or bit of wind is a sign lol! So lovely to hear good news! And williams51 big hugs Hun ☹️ xx
