Hi all - so, with kbear's blessing , I'm starting a new thread for all of us to organize meetups. Why don't we try a picnic again in one or two weeks time on Tuesday the 9th or 16th near the Maritime Museum? Let's do around noon... So, let me know which date is better and we'll go with the majority. I was so sad that yesterday didn't work out!!

Sorry, haven't found the curry thread yet, can you do a link?

bran · 04/10/2005 14:13

Here you go curry thread.

jenweber630 · 04/10/2005 19:01

Bran - I had forgotten! We missed Gymboree this morning - my husband has been ill and Mitchell wasn't feeling great this morning and slept in until nearly 11am. (Yes - you can all feel free to be jealous - he does this occasionally.) However, we should be good for Thursday afternoon - why don't you CAT me your phone number so I can call if we have to cancel at the last minute. And longlegs - I'll call tomorrow and see if you can come as well.

Jen, I'm so relieved (that you weren't expecting to meet me, not about the illness obviously). I imagined you cursing my name whilst sitting on your own in Cafe Rouge. I'll CAT you now.

jenweber630 · 05/10/2005 17:31

Longlegs - it looks like bran and I aren't doing Gymboree this week due to illness - we'll let you know about next week.

OP posts:
mummylonglegs · 05/10/2005 22:03

Ok, Jen, I'll look out for it! It's dd's birthday on Monday and we've got a few family visits etc. during the week next week so I may not be around much myself that week.

jenweber630 · 08/10/2005 13:13

Well, since October is quickly getting away from us - I thought we should plan our next big get-together! How about Tuesday the 26th at around 2pm tentatively at the Forum at Greenwich (I've still not been there - we've been under the weather but will try to get there to check it out this next week). Who could come to that?

OP posts:
KBear · 08/10/2005 21:41

It's half-term so I haven't got to rush back to school run so I can probably make it. Might combine it with a whistle-stop tour of Greenwich too.

jenweber630 · 09/10/2005 18:03

That would be lovely - your daughter could come too.

OP posts:
Dropinthecauldron · 09/10/2005 18:36

I could come but 2 pm may be too late for me-dd2 is normally kipping by then-even 1 oclock would be better!

mummylonglegs · 09/10/2005 18:55

That's fine by me although dd may be passed out in the buggy for the first half hour or so I don't know where the forum is though?

KBear · 10/10/2005 21:20

blossom2 · 10/10/2005 21:52

KBear · 10/10/2005 21:56

I think you're right, confusion has set in!

I think it is Tuesday 25th October.

Watch this space for more details when Jenweber630 posts and tell us all where it is!

mummylonglegs · 10/10/2005 23:10

Yes, where and what is the Forum? If it's Tuesday I can make it, Monday I'm at work.

jenweber630 · 12/10/2005 11:08

Hi - yes sorry - the 25th - a Tuesday. The forum is on the corner of Trafalgar Road and Christchurch Way in Greenwich. Basically, if you head east from the Queen's house/Naval College (towards the Greenwich peninsula, Woolwich), it's on the north side of the road in a large stone church. I've still not checked it out - maybe I'll do that today... It does sound like a good place though. I'll let you all know.

Hiya all.
Hope you don't mind me joining this thread.
I'm 29 and live in Woolwich with my husband and ds(2.8 years) and dd(1.1years). My husband works very long hours so mostly it's just me and little folk.

I'm quite shy and don't know any other mums.

Recently my son's been indicating he'd like some friends. So I'd love to meet up with you all.

I've never been to The Forum. I've only just plucked up the courage to go to the soft play at the Waterfront and that's on my doorstep.

mummylonglegs · 12/10/2005 22:53

Hi piximon, there are a few Woolwich-ish mums. I recommend dropinthe, she's fab

Ok, Tuesday 25th. What is the Forum, Jen? A kind of play area I'm guessing? Suitable for toddler-types?

Dropinthecauldron · 13/10/2005 10:17

Cheers mll-too kind!

Hoges also lives in the centre of Woolwich and is a little lost in the wilderness of sunny Woolwich at the mo!

I've got two boys nearly 4 and 2 and live in Plumstead Common-not far!

KBear · 13/10/2005 10:19

Can I add that Dropinthe has proved herself to be a bit of a raver so be warned.

Dropinthecauldron · 13/10/2005 10:23

A big fat cheesyer!

Dropinthecauldron · 13/10/2005 10:24

KBear-you stuck inside too?-when will this rain ever stop?

KBear · 13/10/2005 10:26

Dropinthecauldron · 13/10/2005 10:32
