Hi all - so, with kbear's blessing , I'm starting a new thread for all of us to organize meetups. Why don't we try a picnic again in one or two weeks time on Tuesday the 9th or 16th near the Maritime Museum? Let's do around noon... So, let me know which date is better and we'll go with the majority. I was so sad that yesterday didn't work out!!

Has anyone ever been to the forum @ Greenwich? I've just heard of it today and there is a cafe and play room - maybe that would be a good place for our next meet up - let me know what you all think.

Hi, dd had a good time on Monday and it was nice meeting up with other people. Haven't heard of the forum but am up for another meet.. will look out for further details when posted.

dropinthe · 22/09/2005 16:28

Ditto-love Greenwich!

KBear · 22/09/2005 16:34

I don't know it either but I'm easy !

What I did fancy doing was a walk in the woods in half-term. Anyone up for a bit of leaf crunching and a run around with the kids? Maybe Jack Woods at the top of Shooter's Hill? They have a cafe there too.

Would need a plan b in case of rain though.

dropinthe · 22/09/2005 16:38

I'm up for Shooters Hill-know the cafe well,(I would!),it has fantastic views.

mummylonglegs · 22/09/2005 22:05

What's the forum at Greenwich? I'd love to come this time if we could make it more of an afternoon-ish meet?

jenweber630 · 23/09/2005 13:33

Well - I'll try to check out the forum in the next few weeks but from what I've heard from others it would likely be suitable for a meet-up. Kbear - we would LOVE to do a mid-term hike. And actually, are you still wanting to sell your 3 wheel pushchair? I've had it trying to push the mothercare one I have around blackheath - it just isn't suitable for long walks. CAT me and we can make arrangements... Also everyone, a week from today on the 30th I'm going through with the coffee morning at Costa Coffee in Greenwich at 10:30 - it's for cancer relief so I'm hoping to have at least a few people there! I know it's not great for older kids, but we could always walk to the playground behind the Queen's house after...

Jen - I will CAT you abou the pram.

I can't make the 30th as I'm at work but I'll put some money in the collection next time I see you.

Have we got a date for the Forum meet? Mons and Tues work best for me but go with the majority.

mummylonglegs · 23/09/2005 14:57

Jen, I can't do the coffee thing as mornings are out for me now with dd at her playgroup.

The forum thing (where and what is it though?) would be good for me on a Tues, Weds or Thurs ideally. Afternoon only. I'm sorry I'm not flexible enough now though so if it's best for everyone to meet earlier so be it. I'll pick up the gossip from drop

KBear · 25/09/2005 14:18

Girls - Bran and I are meeting on Tuesday 27th in Greenwich. Anyone care to join us? Cutty Sark, by the entrance to the foot tunnel at 10am.

tigermoth · 25/09/2005 14:41

My youngest ds (6) and I would be up for an oxleas wood half term walk. My oldest ds will be recovering from having his tonsils out. If you organise something round oxleas wood, keep me posted!

mummylonglegs · 25/09/2005 15:19

I'd love to join you Kbear but can't do mornings cos of dd's playgroup. Let me know if you fancy an afternoon sometime?

slug · 26/09/2005 13:45

If I can get the sluglet dressed on time, we'll be there.

KBear · 26/09/2005 17:45

Bran - I've emailed you. I can't make it tomorrow now as DH has to work and I won't have the car (it's just TOO far on the bus!).

Sorry for the short notice.

jenweber630 · 26/09/2005 18:10

Bran and slug (and anyone else) - if you still want to meet up for a coffee or something tomorrow morning I'm up for it but would have to meet a litle later - Mitchell's Gymboree class was changed from 11:30 to 10:30 - if you want to meet at 11:30 in the same place I'm up for it.

Michelle - (I can't remember your nickname) can you send the information about your friend who does ebay auctioning for people? I've decided to do that and would rather give your friend the business than someone I don't know.

As for Friday's coffee morning for cancer relief - I think I'm going to change the venue and I'll post the info asap.

OP posts:
dropinthe · 26/09/2005 18:11

Ditto-me too!

dropinthe · 26/09/2005 18:11

Ebay that is!

coldtea · 26/09/2005 19:19

Have e-mailed her, will wait to hear

jenweber630 · 26/09/2005 22:48

Thank you coldtea!

OP posts:
coldtea · 26/09/2005 23:03

This is what she has sent me, if you want to CAT me i will pass on your e-mail address.

Tell them I charge 20% commission, plus the cost of listing and the price of packing and posting at cost. Every thing else they get. Which I can either have paid into their pay pal account, if they have one, or I will give them the cash or send a cheque how ever the want the money.

Hope that helps

jenweber630 · 27/09/2005 10:22

Well - since I've not seen anyone post I'm going to pass on meeting up at 11:30 in Greenwich this morning - off to Gymboree!

KBear · 27/09/2005 11:30

Dropinthe · 27/09/2005 12:58

Coldtea-where does your friend live? Would I just drop the stuff off to her and she does the rest? Sounds too good to be true and alot of work for her!
