Hi all - so, with kbear's blessing , I'm starting a new thread for all of us to organize meetups. Why don't we try a picnic again in one or two weeks time on Tuesday the 9th or 16th near the Maritime Museum? Let's do around noon... So, let me know which date is better and we'll go with the majority. I was so sad that yesterday didn't work out!!

I'm still here! Dd's starting playgroup at the beginning of September, 5 mornings a week so I won't be around for lunchtime meetings any more apart from in holiday time . But I'll keep my eyes open on this thread in case you have any mid - late afternoon meet-ups .

dropinthe · 25/08/2005 21:29

I'm a Waterfront person-its not bad but as indoor parks go its really only loads of balls!Great for swimming though-lovely baby pools-wave machine, slides for oldies-always v busy in holidays though!

mummylonglegs · 25/08/2005 22:02

Where is Waterfront?

dropinthe · 26/08/2005 07:59

The Waterfront is a Leisure Centre/Water Park in Woolwich-its not bad but very busy!

jenweber630 · 27/08/2005 14:20

That sounds good - we have a membership to that group of leisure centers... The one in Greenwich has an under 5s playtime in a huge gym once a day for 1 1/2 hours with all kinds of great stuff to climb on and play with - though the waterfront sounds better if that works for everyone. Why don't we shoot for the third Monday in September?

Hi everyone,

I just called the waterfront leisure center and here's the scoop... There is an indoor soft play area that can be used from 9:30-6 and is supervised by staff but we can all hang out in there and let our kids play (or for the babies we can just hang out with them). If you're not a member, it's 3.85 (I think that's what he said) to get in and if you're a member of greenwich leisure limited there is a discount. I was thinking we could all meet on Monday the 19th of September at 11am - who can do that?

I hope we can get a big group together! Jen

KBear · 01/09/2005 11:26

I can be there from about 12.15 (after pre-school).

Thanks Jen!

dropinthe · 01/09/2005 11:28

I can be there any time as I live 3 minutes from it! How exciting!

Well let me know what time is best - we can always make it a little later and bring lunch along...

OP posts:
jenweber630 · 05/09/2005 13:03

Ok - since I've not heard from anyone else - let's plan for noon and just plan to bring some lunch along for us and the kids - I'm sure there's a place somewhere there that we could eat before or after some playtime. I'm going to e-mail Beachy and Slug about this as I've not seen them respond to this newer thread - I want to see that new baby!

OP posts:
dropinthe · 05/09/2005 19:41

KBear · 06/09/2005 12:20

Xena · 07/09/2005 18:05

Xena · 07/09/2005 18:07

Is her name Beachyhead?? Did she have a girl?

KBear · 07/09/2005 19:52

Of course, all welcome. Beachyhead was due to have her DD on 16th August I think. I don't have her email but Jen does. ooh new baby to coo over! I'm broody cos I've got all the prams organised to sell (not that anyone wants them at the moment!).

KBear · 07/09/2005 20:35

And my baby boy will be 4 on the Sunday so I shall bring birthday cake and brownies!

(That'll get 'em queuing out the door).

jenweber630 · 09/09/2005 17:42

Kbear - you are so cool. Mitchell will get his first taste of birthday cake! I do have beachy's e-mail and will try to get in touch with her so we have a tiny one to coo over...
