Hi all - so, with kbear's blessing , I'm starting a new thread for all of us to organize meetups. Why don't we try a picnic again in one or two weeks time on Tuesday the 9th or 16th near the Maritime Museum? Let's do around noon... So, let me know which date is better and we'll go with the majority. I was so sad that yesterday didn't work out!!

Maybe Batwoman could join you? Her from such fame as the New Orleans thread. Come on girls I'm sure you'd want to make her welcome !

Norash · 17/09/2005 14:08

Hi all,

I am coming KBear. So who else is coming?

KBear · 17/09/2005 14:13

Great! Jenweber, coldtea, dropinthe, Xena are coming I think.

I won't be there until about 12.15 as I will be getting the bus down after pre-school. Look out for coldtea and her little girl as she hasn't met you all before.

dropinthe · 17/09/2005 14:15

Shall we wait outside for each other-shall we all wear yellow roses?

Norash · 17/09/2005 15:18

LOL Dropinthe but can we not choose a cheaper flower? and can it be blue?

dropinthe · 17/09/2005 18:47

I don't know of any cheap blue flowers unless we all pop into one of the pound shops in Woolwich first and buy some plastic ones!

Norash · 17/09/2005 22:47

I think I like you drop in the . No I know I do, you are one cool chick.

dropinthe · 17/09/2005 22:49

Not a very popular one at the moment though,eh!

See you on Monday!

Norash · 17/09/2005 23:33

KBear · 18/09/2005 12:58

of course Micku5 - everyone's welcome. (Looks like I'd better make more brownies - I knew that would get them queueing up!).

See you all tomorrow.

Micku5 · 18/09/2005 13:08

Thanks.. see you then.

dropinthe · 18/09/2005 17:03

I'll be the short fat one with short mousy blonde hair and two boys!-I think we can wait just inside the door actually before you get in the Q to pay.
See you all tommorrow!

Micku5 · 18/09/2005 17:05

Had to do a trial run this afternoon cos i wasn't sure where it was. I'm coming from Dartford way so i can offer a lift to anyone coming from this way.

Norash · 19/09/2005 08:25

So who's still coming the? I know I am

dropinthe · 19/09/2005 08:48

Me,(if Ive not been deleted!)

Norash · 19/09/2005 16:46

Hi everyone, I really enjoyed the meet up today. It was nice meeting and talking to you all and putting the faces to the names.

KBear- Thank you for the brownies, they were delicious

I think we should have an evening out . Hope we can all meet up again soon.

dropinthe · 19/09/2005 17:12

Don't know how I just missed that post,Norash!
Agree-lovely bunch of gals!
I,too, really enjoyed it.Still wracking my brains as to where I have seen coldtea before-it will come to me in a flash when I'm least expecting it I think!
KBear-your brownies are now legendary!-can I have the recipe please?-have never been a cake maker,(just a cake eater!),but would like to foray into the unknown!
Hope to meet all of you again soon!

jenweber630 · 19/09/2005 17:18

I had a great time this afternoon and agree with an evening out Norash - that would be really fun! The microbrew/restaurant in Blackheath village seems pretty groovy as hanging outside in a pub garden may be tough to organize depending on weather... Let me know if anyone has good ideas. And we'll play for a daytime meetup for October - I would love to do something for Halloween but my sis will be in town and we're going to be staying on a narrow boat for the week... So, maybe mid-month again - venue ideas anyone??

dropinthe · 19/09/2005 17:23

Are you meaning Zerodegrees in Blackheath?-it is nice in there and they do food upstairs too which is very reasonable-pizza's mainly! I love Blackheath village-I was a Bank manager in one of the banks there for a year before I gave birth to ds1 and got to know alot of the wealthier villagers!!
Lets have a night out,eh?-maybe in Novemberish after we have had another meet up-giving other people a chance to come too?

dropinthe · 19/09/2005 19:24

Bump for Jen!

coldtea · 19/09/2005 19:28

I had a nice day too. Great to meet everyone & chat whilst enjoying Kbear's fantastic brownies!

Will watch this space for the next one .

KBear · 19/09/2005 19:29

Hello all - I really enjoyed this afternoon's meetup and DS had fun too! He fell asleep on the bus straightaway while I ate the rest of the brownies (what? there were 3 three left, I hate waste! ).

Here's to the next meet!
