Hi I am 33 years young and live in Copthorne near Crawley, West Sussex and looking to chat to other mums/mums to be in the Surrey/Sussex area and maybe arrange a meet up sometime. I used to be on the Redhill or nearish thread but that seemed to die a sudden death so thought I would start a new one.

I have a daughter of 17 months and am expecting another girl in October.

I go to a toddler group in Copthorne that meet at the church if you know it? They meet on a Thursday morning. Also there is another toddler group in Copthorne called Tea and Tots and they meet on a Wednesday afternoon and thats next door at the church hall. If you wanted to go to either or both could meet you there sometime. Let me know, you can email me at funnytype at hotmail dot com or just let me know on here. I am going this Thursday there is a back to school party as we had been meeting in the holidays as some of us wanted to keep it open. Next week it is not on but the week after it will be on.

Hi everyone

If any of you wanted to meet up and fancied a change of scenery West Sussex County Council have just opened a lovely new Children's Centre in Blackwell Farm Road.

There is a fab play area, public access internet and great coffee machine and it's open most days from 9am-5pm

funnytype · 05/09/2008 15:19

Hi Cheryl,

How are you doing?

This playcentre is that in Crawley? Will have to check it out sometime.

Hi Steph,

Im fine thanks.. you?

Hope Isabella enjoys school on monday.

I did a google search and Blackwell farm road is in East Grinstead.

Have you hear anything else about the meet next week?

Firewalker · 17/09/2008 11:53

Hi Steph

Nice to see you too. Sorry, I haven't been on here for a while as my parents have been with us for two weeks which has been lovely, but I've not been at work (so no chance to get on here!! )

Hope Isabella is enjoying school. Rhianna seems to be fine - we've had no tears so far so good.

We are going to come down to Crawley one weekend (prob 18th or 19th October) to see some friends who live in Three Bridges. If you are around anytime then, we could pop in and say hello if you don't mind the three of us descending on you.

Hi Paula,

How are you doing? Isabella has been enjoying school and it is amazing how organised we have been getting there for 8.45! This week is the normal time of 8.55 so an extra 10 mins yippee! She is still part time until November so it doesnt seem much different to taking her to preschool just a bit earlier and a different place. Sophia will be going two mornings to preschool from next Monday so looking forward to two mornings to myself.

Will be around on Sunday 19th so if you coming up then let me know as will be working on the Saturday.

Hi Steph

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply.

Glad Isabella is doing well at school. Rhianna is fine too and has been going full-time since the third day and it doesn't seem to have phased her at all. Hope you are enjoying your mornings to yourself. I am very much enjoying having Mondays to myself - having lunch with friends without the children and chilling out at the health club, etc. I've even managed to get to reflexology too.

I am waiting to hear from our friends if they are around Sunday week as they may be going away now, but they will know by the weekend. We can always pop down anyway - we don't have to meet at your house if you'd rather not. We could always meet at Tulley's Farm (weather permitting) or go to Wacky Warehouse again or something.

Let me know.

Hi Paula,

Let me know about Sunday, am planning to pop to my mum and dads some time in the afternoon but could get together before? xx

OP posts:
Firewalker · 17/10/2008 10:43

Hi Steph

I meant to post last night, but we couldn't get the pc to work.

Our friends will be away this weekend, but we wouldn't have come down until the afternoon anyway which wouldn't work with you going to your Mum's so it's probably best to postpone and then we can see our other friends at the same time.

Can we meet up one Sunday in November? I know our friends will be around then. Can't do first two weekends of November, but could do 16th or 23rd.

funnytype · 19/10/2008 10:53

Hi Paula,

Dont worry about today, could do the 16th we could meet up somewhere or you could come here? Hope all is well with you and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

OK - good, I'll pencil that in the diary and we'll talk nearer the time about where to go. I might just e-mail Mumpbump as well and see if she's around then too. Hope you enjoy your half-term. We are off to Cornwall on Friday for a week to stay with my family.

Hi Steph

Sorry it's taken me so long to get on here as our PC is down at home just now and I've been so busy at work.

Great to see you the other Sunday too. Rhianna really enjoyed herself.

Hi Dropdeadfred - haven't heard from you for a while (or Amandoh come to think of it - must drop her a line). Hope all is well, must catch up some time so I can see the wedding photos.

Hi Paula,

Are you all ready for xmas? Got the tree up at the weekend and started on the xmas cards but still more shopping to get.

Are we likely to see you before xmas? Let me know if you are free.

Hi Steph

Yes we are all ready, got the tree up two weekends ago as we will be away for Xmas so thought we'd do it early! All cards finished as of yesterday and I took a day off to wrap up the presents last week as weekends are just too busy right now and am having to take loads of time off work for various events at Rhianna's school which have been great, but..... I've got a lot of time to make up.

Won't be down your way before xmas, but will have to meet up in the New Year.

Have a lovely Christmas.
