Hi I am 33 years young and live in Copthorne near Crawley, West Sussex and looking to chat to other mums/mums to be in the Surrey/Sussex area and maybe arrange a meet up sometime. I used to be on the Redhill or nearish thread but that seemed to die a sudden death so thought I would start a new one. I have a daughter of 17 months and am expecting another girl in October. Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. Are we meeting at Starbucks or Cafe Rouge on Wed as on Helena's thread you said Starbucks but Paula you said Cafe Rouge? I dont mind where we go as long as I am at the right place?

I think that we were originally going to meet at Starbucks, but then Helena suggested the Cafe Rouge - I don't mind where we meet either so long as I end up in the right place!! Helena and Mary - over to you.

Welcome to the board, of course you can join us. I am not far away from you I am in Copthorne.

I dont mind where we meet but hope the kids will be ok as nothing much for them to do but guess if they have some food they shouldnt complain. I should be there at the latest by 12.30 as depends how long it takes me from picking Isabella up and getting parked up, probably going to park at the Priory park as am concerned that may get clamped at Morrisons unless I buy something in there first.

I think Cafe Rouge is bigger so would be a better place to meet although a bit more expensive, perhaps. I am full of cold at the moment so if I am feeling really rotten tomorrow, may not make it. I would also rather avoid passing it on to you guys as it sounds as though you have had enough colds already this winter... Hopefully see you tomorrow!

I'm really sorry, I can't come now - I'm so cross. My appointment has been moved from 10 - 11.45 to 12 - 1.15 which is when I need to leave Reigate so i'm afraid lunch is out the window for me now. I did phone you Steph, but there was no answer on your mobile so I texted you and left a message on your home phone.

I was already on my way when they phoned to tell me!

I'm sorry I won't get to see any of you.

Paula has just left me a message saying she wont be able to make it today as her appointment has been changed, Helena, do u mind if we leave it for today as you werent feeling too well and I dont want to turn up and find noone is there unless you are definetly coming or anyone else is going?

Assume you did not meet up then? I came out at 1.30 and made my way quickly to Cafe Rouge in case you were there, I was basically just going to say a quick hello and goodbye but did not see you. You may have gone by then of course.

Guess we will meet up in the New Year then, I think we mentioned end of Jan before.

Helena - hope you are feeling better now.

Steph, we are in Crawley over Christmas - although I expect you are away. Rhianna has made us promise to take her to the Wacky Warehouse on the Thursday or Friday of Christmas week, but I guess you won't be around then anyway? Just thought I'd mention it in case.

Hi All, sorry I've been away from this thread. We've been hit by the sickness bug again. It just seems like we've been sick since the end of October with one thing or another. Hopefully it's just runny noses that are left. I hope the rest of you are well.

Completely forgot about meeting up on the 12th. I just don't know where my brain is and just trying to cram in everything at the moment. We are off to the States for christmas and will be back on the 13th of January.

Sorry to hear that everyone has been so ill. Helena and Mary, I hope you soon feel better. Mary - I hope you have a wonderful holiday in the States (wish I could go out and see my sister for Christmas - oh well, one day)!

Hi there - thank god you didn't make it! I was so ill last week, it was unreal and every day was just about surviving with ds1. I pretty much collapsed into bed on Wednesday - Joe was also ill so conveniently slept! - and that was it. I was worried that I would be standing you up... Paula - could you email me your mobile no. so I can make sure I have a way to contact you if something like this happens again...

Other than that, quite up for the idea of an evening meet-up in Jan/Feb. Our diaries are clear so can do any date at present...

That sounds awful, Helena. Thank goodness you are feeling better now. I can do any date at at the end of Jan/beg of Feb, but would need to be before 9th Feb as I will be in hospital and convalescing for three weeks after that date (nothing serious so don't worry). Any day bar Monday evening suits me really.

Helen, I will mail you my mobile number when I get on the home mail, could you mail me yours as well.

Hi there everyone

Hope you all had a great Christmas. We certainly did and had a nice night away at New Year on our own up in London for DH's birthday while Rhianna stayed with my parents.

Steph, we were in Crawley all of Christmas and we took Rhianna to the Wacky Warehouse one afternoon - it was really busy in there and she kept asking where Isabella was.

Sorry not been on here much, not sure where everyone else has gone must just be busy! Hope Rhianna's chickenpox has cleared up, did it bother her much? My two havent had it yet but expect if one gets it then the other will too. Hope everyone is ok and lets arrange a get together soon.

Actually it was just fine - we were very lucky as she had hardly any spots and they all cleared up within two days. She was perfectly Ok with it as well, however, a lot of her friends who have had it recently had it really badly and had it for over a week so I guess you never know how it's going to be until they actually go down with it. I'm just glad it's all out of the way now.
