Scottish Christmas meet-up

There has always been a good night in Edinburgh at Christmas but so far, there doesn't seem to be the impetus for one.

Nailpolish started a thread here but it has limped on without getting to a critical mass.

I thought I'd start a new thread with Christmas in the title to see if that would generate a bit more interest! As someone said on the other thread, we are getting a bit close to Christmas, so we should get a move on if we are going to organise something!

Hello! Count me in I really enjoyed the "do" last Christmas in Cafe Rouge

Besom · 01/12/2009 21:07

Yes, thank you TBE.

It's only raining here (Edinburgh) as yet.

Weegiemum - ds is going to a birthday party at Braehead which starts at 2pm, so I'll prbably be dropped off at the Underground at about 1.30 - or do you just want to meet at Queen Street?

Right so it's 3 at Cuba Norte?

What did you book it under in the end?

Its looking likely I can make it - will let you know for definite tomorrow. (was at doctor today and I should be ok).

Where on Morrison Street is it?

Just asking cos I'm getting over pleurisy/pneumonia and am strictly not allowed to walk about in the cold too much! (basically looking for justification for a taxi, tbh!)

Is it posh or can I get away with wrapping up warm?

Prettybird - meeting at the station is probably best for me, I'll email you tomorrow to let you know.

Hoping to come, I didn't make it last year and regret it, and as long as I'm not too late home, it should be great!!

Its sounding good.

I can even show off and practice the Spanish I have been learning!! (until the cocktails take over, when I only think I am speaking Spanish!)

weegiemum · 02/12/2009 16:43

I am confirming I am definitely coming!!

Basically I am on my 4th lot of antibiotics but just checked the leaflet and there is nothing about not mixing them with cocktails and cuban food so I reckon I will be OK and if its only 5 mins from the station I can manage that walk !!!!

Prettybird - will see you at the station! Do I have your mobile number? Is anyone else from Glasgow coming who want to join us?

Mull of Kintyre is beautiful though. Good luck with everything!

liath · 02/12/2009 21:57

Damn, my normal babysitter is busy so I'm afraid I'll have to bow out (although I'll see if I can find someone else). Grr. Have a great time everyone.

I dunno,

My 7 year old ds would be happy in a kitty carrier under the table if it had a Nintendo DS with headphones and a suitable supply of Mario-based games (and if I passed him an Appletise once in a while)!!!!

Hope you can get someone else Liath. My dh is grudgingly willingly taking up the burden for the night!
