Scottish Christmas meet-up

There has always been a good night in Edinburgh at Christmas but so far, there doesn't seem to be the impetus for one.

Nailpolish started a thread here but it has limped on without getting to a critical mass.

I thought I'd start a new thread with Christmas in the title to see if that would generate a bit more interest! As someone said on the other thread, we are getting a bit close to Christmas, so we should get a move on if we are going to organise something!

Christmas shopping with toddler must qualify as an extreme sport, surely?

I don't have any glam Christmas clothes (was out last night and everyone was sequined up). Have knitted dress and patent boots that will probably wear, but fairly casual really.

Would your ss and his girlfriend babysit for the day? If it is any consolation, I'm scared too (hick from the sticks, useless in towns and will probably get on the train to Wick or something).

Had a look WorkInProgress and there is the 1301 from Perth arrives 1419 but the last train home leaves at 19.35 (arr Perth 2053)
