Scottish Christmas meet-up

There has always been a good night in Edinburgh at Christmas but so far, there doesn't seem to be the impetus for one.

Nailpolish started a thread here but it has limped on without getting to a critical mass.

I thought I'd start a new thread with Christmas in the title to see if that would generate a bit more interest! As someone said on the other thread, we are getting a bit close to Christmas, so we should get a move on if we are going to organise something!

I'd like to come, but can't do 5th. DC are both camping (brrr!) so DH and I have a drunken nice romantic late lunch booked.

Now the 5th may very well be goer although I may potentially be a bit fragile as I am out on the 4th. Need to check if DH has any plans that I am unaware off.

Will be VERY busy come Saturday evening however and a tad loud, we may be drunk enough by then to not care!

Other options for food Cafe Marlayne, The Sizzling Scot or Room in the West End. All within trotting distance of either Waverly or Haymarket and not too expensive.

Ah too bad, the 5th is no good for me. I'm on a course.

No I am a muppet something V. Important on 6th December which has just flashed into my mind. It starts at 10am but I have no idea when it will finish so would be loathe to make plans. Actually it makes the 5th a bit dodgy as well - actually maybe not if we start earlyish and I catch the last train...

In theory, I could do 20th, but I'm more than likely to have a whole heap of Christmas shopping to do, so I wouldn't like to commit.
