hello mums,

New to mumsnet, new mum - with a 4wk DD, wondering if there were some mums out there who wanted to meet, share horror stories, chat, or generally have a moan. I do try and get out each day, but conversation with a 4 wk old baby is quite limiting.

Friday 11am at Debs cafe then? I'm good, Calebs second set of injections went really well he only cried for about 30 seconds!

Good look with nursery i'm sure you'll both be fine.

Domsmum any news on the job front? Hope Holly enjoys nursery!

see you tomorrow then. Mads had her second injections, she cried and then I'm sure she started to swear at the nurse - whatever it was she was obviously disgusted at the whole procedure.

We're geeting some very nasty nappies at the moment, all up the back, through her clothes and mine - sorry just thought I would share that!

Sorry for not getting in touch, been dead busy getting Dominic into nursery etc. and.... got a job!!!! it's at Balfour Beatty, hours are 8.45am to 5pm and 3pm on Friday, am sooo happy! sorry everyone's sick of hearing about this job, can't stop going on about it! I start on 25th July and can't wait!

Glad to hear injections weren't too bad for Caleb and Mads, have they still got one more to go?

Hope nursery went ok Madrose, did you stay with her the whole time or manage to leave her! She'll settle in ok, Dominic doesn't want to come home anymore! when I pick him up he cries and clings on to the nursery staff!! charming!

Hope nursery's going ok for Holly too Derbymom.

Really want to meet up with you all at some point but Doms is in nursery Mon morning, Weds all day and Fri morning so if anyone can make Mon or Fri afternoon or Tues or Thurs any time it would be good as I won't be able to go to meet ups for long!!

Sorry, another one of my mega long messages! Anyway hope to catch up with you soon

That is absolutely BRILL news re the job - I'm dead chuffed for you. Not looking forward to weetabix poos at all Friday afternoon is cool - how does 1.30 sound? Hope everyone is well.

nose sucky thing good - gross but good. Mads has developed a real snotty nose, and in the mornings is so bunged up. So I've been using Mr sucky every morning. I'm surprised that SO much comes out of such a little nose

but it does mean that I can feed her without her suffocating!!

Have to admit - felt quite ill the first few times I used it, but am now getting used to it.

See you all next Friday.

Hi everyone. hope you are all well.

Been v busy, got a new job which i start in 27th June (not p/t but more money and hopefully less stressful) and Holly is settling into nursery well. although got 4 teeth all coming through at same time so poor little lass is suffering.

just got back from holiday (2 weeks in Croatia) which was absolute bliss. some good family time to end my maternity leave.

Anyway can't make friday as it's my sister's birthday but hopefully see you the week after as that will be my last week before work.

Wow you've been busy! Congrats on the job, the holiday sounds wonderful, a chance to relax before work. Poor Holly, Calebs also teething but nothing has broken through yet. Will be nice to see you again, maybe the following Friday?

Sorry but probably not going to be able to make it today. Dominic was up all night with teething pains and he's really bad today so I've not taken him to nursery. If he gets better then I'll go but it's not looking good! Think I'm going to be in for a fun, sleep deprived day!

Definitely want to meet up soon but we're off to Portugal next Friday, back on 4th July and don't start work until 25th so will have time for a coffee before then!

Congrats on the job Derbymom! Really pleased for you! Glad that you managed to grab a break before starting work!

Anyway Dom's being a monkey so better go but hopefully see you all soon as want to exchange numbers and stuff before going back to work!

Hi looks like they're all teething! I just feel so helpless when Holly's in so much pain - we get through tons of Medised. only good thing is it makes her sleep. I think we're near the end of it now - one is through and three are just visible. I know when Holly first started we had all symptoms (dribbling, irritable, chewing and horrible horrible nappies) but no teeth for months so it could be a while before you actually see any teeth!

Hope you enjoy your holiday Domsmummy. I thought it was great having some quality family time before going back to work. The only problem was that Holly got used to sleeping in the same room as us and was a pain trying to get her back in her own room. Fingers crossed she didn't cry tonight so hopefully normal service is resumed.

Anybody fancy a coffee this week? Holly is at nursey on Thurs so will have to be Wed or Fri for me.

Hi guys, so sorry I wasn't there. Took Caleb to see the HV before we left for town and the heavens opened! Both me and the pram got soaked so I stayed at home to dry off. Did you still meet?? Can we do this Friday??

How did did caleb like it? Maddy was ok, a bit shocked when I dunked her under.

Hi everyone! Back from Portugal to the glorious British weather! It was great, v. white still as we had to keep in the shade because of Doms so may have to reach for the Johnsons cream again and get the tango'd look!

Found out that my son adores fish and won't eat normal baby food anymore, prefers sardines! Also baby tent was a waste of time, took 2 mins to inflate itself but half an hour to put away! very embarrassing wrestling with it on the beach!

Glad your new job's going well derbymom! Ironing lady sounds like a great idea. I'd also be up for meeting on Sat am.

Can only do Tues/Fri meet ups as Dom is nearly in full-time nursery but will hopefully meet up with you all on Saturdays.

Good luck with the interview Shalaa!

Hope Caleb, Mads and Holly are all ok.
