hello mums,

New to mumsnet, new mum - with a 4wk DD, wondering if there were some mums out there who wanted to meet, share horror stories, chat, or generally have a moan. I do try and get out each day, but conversation with a 4 wk old baby is quite limiting.

neither have I - will try and find her email. The NCT party is in mickleover, will find out more and get details. But if you fancy a coffee one sat morning give me a shout. it has been far to long

Hi,

Can I join you sometime for a meetup I live in Spondon, I am quite new to this site, I have a daughter 13 weeks old and a 6 year old daughter.

DomsMummy · 02/07/2007 13:53

Hey there!

How is everyone? Sorry I've not been in touch for so long, there's been loads going on.

Hope you and little ones are ok DM and Madrose. Number (although I shouldn't do this online!) is 07896 564174

Would be great to meet up. Can do Saturddays now if that's easier?

Would be good if you could come along too Proudparentsof2!

Let me know anyway, it has been too long

Lisa xx

Bit busy over the next few weeks (DS1 due on 7th Aug!) but would love to be involved in Derby meet ups in the future.

MrsFish · 03/07/2007 21:47

Oooohh Ooooh a Derby thread fantastic, only just seen this I live near Ashbourne, used to work in Derby and still get in an awful lot. I have one Ds who is 2 and another on the way due in September. Will definitely be up for a meet whenever one is organised

Daemara · 04/07/2007 09:28

MrsFish- hello there I haven't been to a derby meeting other than the mile for maude on the charities thread but that one was good, it would be nice to have apicnic or something if the weather ever turns nice again. we could fight over who makes the cakes

MrsFish · 04/07/2007 09:33

Definitely - Do you know Markeaton Park? Good place for a picnic as there is so much for the little ones to do

Daemara · 04/07/2007 09:42

MrsFish- I'm in Ripley so not far from derby, been to the park many times, one of the last times we went had to fish ds (3.5) out of paddling pool as he jumped in fully clothed just before we were going into the city center for a coffee and shopping.

MrsFish · 04/07/2007 09:44

Lol - kids eh! we went a few weeks ago and ds had a paddle, its a great place... when the weather is nice

Daemara · 04/07/2007 09:52

one of the nicer places to go round here that dosent cost an arm and a leg, as long as i can steer clear of the pottery place! Alot of times we go to chatsworth for a walk around and to see the animals in the farmyard... or cauldwells mill, rowsly near chatsworth, to feed the ducks and its a lovely little cafe there. its ds favorite place to go. besides derby city centre something to do with ELC beign right next to starbucks

MrsFish · 04/07/2007 10:21

Oh, I've not been to cauldwells mill, and its been years since I went to Chatsworth Oh and I think I have most of the ELC stuff

derbymom · 04/07/2007 13:20

Picnic at markeaton sounds great - as long as this rain stops Any dates good for you guys.

Hi Domsmum - long time no speak - was a little worried about you. Hope you and Dom are both getting on well. Can you believe Holly is 3 next week. Only seems like 2 minutes since we met up for her 2nd birthday.

When's your baby due Mrs Fish. I am also due DC2 on 16th Sept. Am much bigger than last time and a little worried about the size!!!

MrsFish · 04/07/2007 13:40

Hi derbymom - I am due on the 3oth September, and I feel huge too, much bigger than first time round (or it feels like it) I can do wednesday or fridays, pretty much anytime

Daemara · 07/07/2007 10:17

sorry not had much of a chance to get on the computer.. free most any day when school is out, so friday is good for me, ds has swimming lessons on wed though. It would be nice to get out and meet a few new people though. If the weather ever perks up a bit that is. though as I don't drive will have to collar in my friend Frizbe or sort out buses.

MrsFish · 08/07/2007 12:49

I have a friend who would like to tag along too, she has a DD the same age as my Ds

Daemara · 11/07/2007 09:04

Mrsfish- shall we organize something for when you get back off your hols? sorry i keep forgetting this thread exists.. not been on comp much as ds has had a cold, and Starbuck (our cat) was attacked by a cat or dog and been havign to get him sorted out at the vets.. very expensive the poor thing.

MrsFish · 11/07/2007 09:19

Yeah definitely that would be great

Sorry about your cat and son, hope they are both well soon

Daemara · 11/07/2007 09:34

thanks.. i think ds ok, will probably just get fobbed off by doc.. the its a virus give him calpol route but just to make sure as he is rashy. Will see what the cat is like late.. dosent really help that he is an old grumpy guts anyway and we have a kitten as well that just pisses him off.. she isn't a bad kitten just totally desperat to be with starbuck and he wants nothign to do with alys.. oh well...

have a nice holiday anyway... well as good as the weather allows anyway.
