HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU

Now that we've more or less survived the festive season how about reviving our meet-ups for 2005?

I'm a bit busy next week and the week after with dr. appointments and school interviews for dd, but then my diary is pretty bleak and empty.

So who would like to do what and when

MrsBigD · 09/02/2005 16:12

I'll be without a PC as of tomorrow and will only be able to check new posts in the evening if and when dh brings home his laptop from work. Just in case you might wonder why I've gone so quiet

yingers74 · 11/02/2005 18:50

mrs - what a bummer! what has happened to the PC?

MrsBigD · 11/02/2005 19:43

the motherboard is knackered so we have to send it back for replacment which can take up to 2 weeks and I'm stuck with dh's laptop in the evenings if and when I get a chance

Slink · 13/02/2005 21:56

Hi all..
Just to let you know the Lammas park play centre is a good half term option..

We went today, there are some little activities inside (valentines cards, and mask making today) plus the play area (contained) outside.

Best of all, it's free (and you can get a cuppa and a biscuit).

Have fun tomorrow, and Friday.

MrsBigD · 15/02/2005 06:37

Not sure yet whether I'll be able to make today as I've come down with a real bad head cold. Dosing up on painkillers and sudatabs at the moment so hopefully will be able to keep eyes open and move head without too much agony shortly. But, if I'm not there by 11:05 I'm probably home with kids, wishing I'd be dead or at least they'd be quiet...

thanks for the tip Unicorn. Lammas is free?! yippieh! Pitshanger Park make you pay! Then again until I'm at Lammas Park I've spent the £2 ... can't win can I

Slink · 15/02/2005 08:51

Hope you feel better mrs let me know if you need anything i can always pop in .....................................i know where you live.........

Thanks unicorn for the info may try that this week.

Slink · 15/02/2005 13:49

Surviour where were you?? i waitied till 11.05 and then had to go in as:

  1. It was soooooooo cold
  2. It was soooooooo busy

I saw loads of ladies with three boys running up and i thought one was you and she looked at me very strange !!

Anyway dd is having lunch with dh, she and i i have to say had a fab time but boy was it madness in there. When we left 1.pm the queue was even bigger.

Hope you are feeling better mrs.

love me xxxxx

survivour · 15/02/2005 17:10

Hi Slink, finally left home at 10.57am got there at 11.17am. it was so busy, stayed for 2 hours. mostly sat on the floor. Looked out for you, but in that crowd, could not tell one person from another. Next time it will have to be in the afternoon, when its less crowded. Sorry to have missed you....... Hopefully next time.......

MrsBigD · 15/02/2005 19:26

Slink - sorry I didn't make it. I'm at the stage where my teeth are trying to climb out through my head. Guess I better go to see the doc for something to clear out my sinuses Thanks for the offer to drop something by if I need it, but I told dh to plunder the pharmacy on the way home and now have lots of drugs

yingers74 · 15/02/2005 20:44

hey guys,

sorry u missed each other, i guess in half-term there are always going to be crowds. Me and Dh went to oddsfarm park near slough which was good and not too crowded and the science musuem is also a good bet and free. DD had a blast!

Take care

ps mrsbigd, hope u are good

Slink · 15/02/2005 22:39

Surviour oh you were there oh know well we should have gone to the front desk and called for eachother but yeh your right in that crowd. I spent all our time right at the top with dd in the ball park and then in the cave.

Hope to meet up with you again we probably passes eachother sometime that day anyway.

Slink · 16/02/2005 11:17

Mrs You passed your germs through the pc i feel bad so very very bad. I have finally got up had a shower and about to take the next dose of drugs....Lemonsip
Dh thankfully is off today so has been looking after dd but he looks to be heading down for it too. My mum told me to share to.. but there are some things you should keep.....

love you xx

network · 16/02/2005 17:31

Hi Mrs Big D
I couldnt find where i'd posted my message.
I'm an x Londoner living in Berkshire

MrsBigD · 16/02/2005 19:50

Slink - sorry to hear you've come down with it too... these germs are getting cleverer by the minute... now disguising themselves as computer viruses to spread out to all of mn ;)

I'm rapidly going downhill... overdosing on day/night nurse. Despreately need sleep and rest but with dd and ds taking turns with sleeping (why can't the have a daytime nap at the same time? Conspiracy???) fat chance of that!

Off to bed now though as fortunately dd and ds for a change have just both fallen asleep at a reasonably time!

Slink · 16/02/2005 20:29

Poor you Mrs.. Well having spent the am in bed i feel ok although could do with going to bed now but dd had a late sleep (she dosen't sleep during the day but she is poorly too) so she is still up.

Remember the offer is there if you would like me to pop over and stay with your two while you sleep happy to do so....

MrsBigD · 17/02/2005 07:09

Thanks Slink really appreciate that, though I doubt I'd get much sleep once our dds get together and warm up to each other... girlie heaven!

But you're welcome to pop round anytime in the afternoons if and when you need a MILbreak ;)

Slink · 17/02/2005 14:32

THANK YOU may need to take up on that 1 week to go arhhh.

So whats happening for Friday night girls.
