HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU

Now that we've more or less survived the festive season how about reviving our meet-ups for 2005?

I'm a bit busy next week and the week after with dr. appointments and school interviews for dd, but then my diary is pretty bleak and empty.

So who would like to do what and when

OP posts:
Slink · 01/04/2005 19:30

Mrs you are fantastic thats what your job should be INFORMATION LADY!!

MrsBigD · 01/04/2005 19:36

LOL that'll be an idea, but then again... all I do is search the net. Surely there can't be a lucrative side to it?

Oh and if you ever want to go to Cornwall... I can recommend the B&B we were in ... absolutely fab and they even let dd ride on their pony!

MrsBigD · 01/04/2005 19:37

ANYBODY UP TO TODDLERS WREAKING HAVOC AT MY PLACE NEXT WEEK?

I'm trying to think of things to wear out dd whilst 1/2 term

Slink · 01/04/2005 21:46

Yep just name a day, unfortunatley i can't do in return as mil is back and well she moans about mine making noise.

Can't do Wed or Thurs. Also if the weather is nice shall we go to Kew? where do you park?

And whens this girl night out?

MrsBigD · 02/04/2005 08:32

re Kew - good idea, I still have some guest passes I usually try and park somewhere in the sidestreets of Victoria Gate and if that's full then I bite the bullet and pay for parking at Brentford gate

Slink · 03/04/2005 10:57

Well if the weather stays great shall we say Tuesday 5th?? Anyone else up for it??? i can do about lunch time or just after as i need to pop into Ealing...Overdue books again.

MrsBigD · 03/04/2005 15:30

Tuesday p.m. is fine for me. We can always take a picknick and chill at Kew whilst dds are running round

Anybody else up for it?

unicorn · 03/04/2005 15:53

Hi!

I could possibly do an early pm with ds... (dd back at school) haven't any tickets myself though.

Climbers and creepers seems to be good for them to charge around.

Slink · 03/04/2005 17:01

Unicorn dd doesn't go back till the 11th?
I think tickets £10 and free for little ones? never been looking forward to it. Thats if this bloody stomach ach goes had it for week and half another story.

MrsBigD · 03/04/2005 18:34

Slink & Unicorn I've got guest passes galore from last year so can take you in with me.
C&C is great, always have trouble getting dd out again

Slink ... tummy ache for over a week? Dare I ask?... did you get your period? Just wondering as when I fell pg with ds I had no clue, just got really fed up because I had my period pains and nothing to show for it iykwim...

Slink · 03/04/2005 18:37

Oh mrs... i was 5 days late did test neg have been bleeding for bloody England very heavy for 7DAYS i only bleed for 3 normally.. going to see drs off for a bath am in soo much pain.............love to think i can have period and still be pg ..sonia was in eastenders?????

MrsBigD · 03/04/2005 19:07

I'm quite sure it's possible as I think I actually was pg from the previous cycle as the dates the docs calculated so didn't tally.

Hope you're feeling better soon. I always combine 2xneurofen plus with 2xpanadol extra if in extreme pain and it works a treat

Slink · 04/04/2005 08:56

tHANK YOU BUT I FEEL A WALLY ALL I NEEDE WAS A REALLY GOOD POO. Sad cow i know off shopping later that will make me feel better not happy till i have used the credit card.thanks though.

I don't want to excite my self in think i could be pg after that hurendus period..........would love to be

MrsBigD · 04/04/2005 10:21

well otherwise you just have to keep woeing dh for some action in about 1 weeks time . My offer stands if you want to make it a romantic evening drop off dd

Slink · 04/04/2005 13:54

Thaks but can i drop mil too????
Weather is crap whats the plan girls???

unicorn · 04/04/2005 16:41

any indoor suggestions?

dd is in a Hounslow school - different holidays.

MrsBigD · 04/04/2005 17:16

We're used to going to Kew even if the sun's not shining... as long as it's not raining it's ... feed the ducks, visit 'Nemo' and then well Climbers & Kreepers if it's rainign as it's indoors... usually is hell too, but all we have to do is keep an eye on the exit doors and that's it

Slink... how about you drop dd with us and book yourself and dh in a nice little hotel . 'Sleezy' dates do wonders for some men

Slink · 04/04/2005 19:32

mmmmmmmmmmmm Tempting may take you up on it ha ha. I think we may leave it for a while as it is taking over our lives at the mo and we have other things to deal with.

So we are still on for Kew ok what time??
About 12.30-1pm at the enterance?

And then lets think about our nught out girls shall we.
Anyone heard from Yingers? know how she is?

MrsBigD · 04/04/2005 20:00

yingers is posting in the ante-natal section Probably too busy planning the new babe and hasn't got time to talk to us

I'm on for Kew. lets make it 1300 as dh is taking dd into town and hamleys in the morning More toys! We went to toysrus today... fairytopia galore!

Which gate is easiest for everybody? I'm driving so I don't care and during a weekday parking should be too problematic.

there's Victoria Gate (closest to Kew Tube Station)
Brent Gate (that's the parking lot entrance)
Then the gate that's just after Kew Bridge, can't remember the name of it though. I think that's where the 65 bus stops.

Slink · 04/04/2005 21:18

God you know so much wow, i have no idea i was thinking of driving up to the gate and then parking down one of those streets.. can i do that? how much is it to park in there??1pm is fine with me

Slink · 04/04/2005 21:28

p.s my dd will want you to be her mum too.. HAMLEYS I HAVEN'T TAKEN HER YET.

MrsBigD · 04/04/2005 22:05

dd gets to go to Hamleys at least once a year, usually just before Christmas as it's her b'day too

Kew & Parking: I only know that much about it because we're there almost every other weekend especially in summer

The 'front gate' (Kew Bridge) has parking bays that are free, but they're usually full, but that's during the weekend so might be something there during the week.

The parking lot at Brent Gate is I think £3 or thereabouts

At Victoria Gate it's one of the side streets, just be sure to check the signs re parking restrictions

I'll probably try for the 'front gate' first. I've got your mobile number so we should be able to meet up somehow I'll bring the guest passes so you don't have to pay entry

unicorn · 05/04/2005 07:44

1pm is bit too late for me, have to pick up dd at 3, and she has gym tonight.... so will pass today.

best meetup days for me (with ds) are wed +,fri (he's normally at playgroup on the other days)

Enjoy your afternoon tho- looks like it will be nice afterall.

MrsBigD · 05/04/2005 08:14

Slink - sorry to cancel on you again... woke up this morning with worst pre-mentrual cramps in a long time and can hardly walk had to pick a nice day didn't it! Shall we try for tomorrow? I'll dose up on Codydromol today so should be ok for tomorrow.

One of these days I'll actually manage to get to one of the meets I'm trying to set up...

Slink · 05/04/2005 09:50

Never mind ladies i might go anyway never been so would like to take dd.

Hope you feel better soon Mrs, and meet up with you soon Unicorn xxx
