Could be worth asking the staff in Mothercare? We never went to the sessions but was in buying a carseat once when it was on and got the impression they (at the customer service desk) knew a lot about her.

SJ99 · 12/10/2007 15:33

Yes number definitely not woman . That's who I tried to contact, Lisa the entertainer but no luck so far

Haven't thought about fireworks yet, I guess it's not that far away...

sfxmum · 12/10/2007 15:35

lemonaid is that code for they were bitching about her?

she was ok and good with kids, she would spot the shy ones help integrate in very good ways etc.

lemonaid · 12/10/2007 15:38

More "oooh, I don't know how she does it. All that energy and she never flags..." kind of thing. But it was a couple of years ago and I didn't commit the full details to memory

sfxmum · 12/10/2007 15:41

maybe she married the guy who took her to The Maldives last Easter

Paddlechick666 · 12/10/2007 15:47

you might find some alterntives here www.thamesgrapevine.co.uk/page5.htm

foxensteinscreature · 12/10/2007 16:36

sfx there is a brilliant fireworks display we go to - at a local school - will tell you tomorrow. It primary school kids and their siblings - we took DD when she was about 2, with DS1. They sell tickets through the schools so could get you some nearer the time if you are interested (and anyone else). We sometimes go and its brilliant.

Sorry can't enlighten anyone as to the whereabouts of Boogie Tots woman, or to her current marital status and love life

lemonaid · 12/10/2007 16:39

I'd be interested in the Bonfire Night details too, I think.

sfxmum · 12/10/2007 16:57

absolutely interested foxie thanks and btw since it is a catholic school do they do special advent Christmas mass carol thing?
do they accept heathens?

must say one of my pleasures was going to the London Oratory to listen to a mass sang in Latin lovely lovely

stepfordwife · 12/10/2007 17:32

hello chaps
how you all diddling?

sfx, london scottish rugby club (old deer park) had one last year. but remember it being quite expensive and didn't start until late.. huge queue for hot dogs which i refused to join purely to buy offspring charred meat...
speaking of..

ds2 has decided he's a vegetarian because "i want the same DNA as you, mummy."

well, i was in marks and sparks this morning with friend and dd who insisted on working the room, demanding to meet all the 'bubbas."

luckily, all mums friendly and understanding unlike ones we usually seem to encounter who flinch at the sight of a child over 6 weeks

stepfordwife · 12/10/2007 17:33

and hello oxo

stepfordwife · 12/10/2007 17:35

hey foxie, any sign of the runaway lodger?

foxensteinscreature · 12/10/2007 18:22

DD as working which room Steppy? {clueless emoticon}

Lemon/sfx - Ok will look out for the order form for tickets which comes round. Essentially its in a field with lots of primary school kids and their families and kids stalls (incl food stalls and stalls with those bracelet thingies which light up). Its quite cheap to get in.

We could have a MN night out of it - will have to check whether there is any limit to how many tickets we buy but I very much doubt it.

Its not in the catholic school sfx. We don't have an advent thingy - we have Juniors nativity hymns but its kids level, rather than a proper (i.e. musical) choir. The Catholic church near you has classical singers during the masses, which is beautiful. They may have a special advent service with singing (or rather extra singing) - will keep an eye out nearer the time.

The Churches in Richmond have Christingle - the children's service where they all carry an orange with a candle and sweets in - its lovely. Will give yu more info if you'r interested.

Steppy - I left runaway lodger a message two hours ago saying could he please bring the keys back as we have someone else moving in on Sunday? I did't mention the outstsanding week's rent as I want him to bring the keys back pronto. I have decided that if he doesn't bring them back by Sunday I will charge him a further week's rent (all coming out of the deposit his mum paid - she will not be happy with him) .

Puts nice face back on again : Paddle your friend rang and is movng in on Sunday. He sounds lovely and a lot more grown up

I have a techy qestion now: we have 58 viruses on ur PC - one bad one. Should we buy the Spyeware pop up thing which has been offered. Its called Spyeware Secure and costs £27.99. It came after a Windos scan butnot sure whether it is genuine or not...advice please

rosmonster · 12/10/2007 18:28

foxie, what time does the bonfire thing usually start? I would like to take ds to one this year but think they might all start a bit too late for him. I will also ask dh about the virus software, he's in IT so should know!

Kewcumber · 12/10/2007 19:52

we didn't get to go swimming until 4pm! DS woke with very slight cold, then my mum decided she was going to come to tesco with us (which always adds an hour at last) so gave up and took him after lunch. He's still rather nervous but strangely quite happy to jump in and get his face splashed. Who understands children?

ComeOVeneer · 12/10/2007 20:38

Hey all. Have been busy beavering away for tomorrow. The food is coming along nicely but have a slight problem with ds. He has (I think) balanitis (sp) so will have to take him to the doctors in the morning, so it may be a disturbed night.

foxensteinscreature · 12/10/2007 20:50

Oooh what is Balinitis CoV? What are his symptoms?

Kew - children and splashing just go together don't they?

Rose- thanx for saying you'll ask DH. I'm happy to buy the Spyeware thing but just want to be sure its not a fake, which would bugger my PC even more. I deffo have a virus as pop ups keep popping up IYKWIM and keyboard has gone all wierdy.

I think fireworks start at 6 or 7pm - can't remember but most primary school evening time stuff is 7-9pm

Hey we are having a street party next year - I'm so excited!! Consider yourselves all invited (July 2008)!!

ComeOVeneer · 12/10/2007 20:53

Foxy 'tis a swollen/infected (whispers) penis.

foxensteinscreature · 12/10/2007 21:05

CoV - is it a fungal infection?

foxensteinscreature · 12/10/2007 21:08

ComeOVeneer · 12/10/2007 21:11

Not sure wether it is fungal or bacterial. The doctor has a surgery 9-11 tomorrow morning so taking him then. He isn't in constant pain, just if it is touched, but is swollen. He has had a supset stomach for a few days so I am wondering if that may have allowed something to head inside (iyswim) as we are still in the throws of toilet training.
