If am looking for French mothers living in the Richmond Area to meet up with their children. I would like my 18 month daughter to mix with French speakers as well. i hope some will get in touch with us.

sfxmum · 11/10/2007 17:37

yes you can still sit on the sofa which was full of nursing mothers, not a bad thing but cafe is missed, likewise the classes.

at least dd can play with noisy things and leave them, there till next time

really must find a nice drop in class for winter preferably not too expensive Boggie Tots was just£5 cheap by comparison

SJ99 · 11/10/2007 18:56

Hello all, just popped in to see what's happening.

Mrs R - sorry to hear your news but glad that you are feeling better. Hope things work out for you.

Ros - sorry to hear about your cat

PC - hope youa re recovering from virus/food poisoning, at least you don't have to worry about looking after DD as well while you're ill

SFX - I'm amazed that you managed to leave the shop without having to buy any the things DD played with Yes it's a pity they've stopped the activities.

Still haven't made my mind up about TT, I wish that was a drop-in activity. DS is all out of sorts this week, no nap again today, am tired too. As DH is out tonight have bought myself a pot noodle (haven't had one in years!) and a mint Aero. Need to check what trash tv is on tonight.

bunyanvillas · 11/10/2007 19:29

SFX, are there drop-in classes around (other than playgroups)? I too want to find something for dd - haven't "signed up" to anything and it would be great to go to a drop-in class if that sort of thing is out there!

Kewcumber · 11/10/2007 19:59

Hi Francoise - sadly my french is of the "pendant les grandes vacances..." variety and the only other frnch spekaer I know is imminently off to Switzerland. Well I assume Nnou speaks French (on the basis that she is french)

ScaryScaryNight · 11/10/2007 20:13

MrsR I think I have missed something? I hope you are ok.

Anybody going to Kew Retail park tomorrow and fancy a coffee at M&S?

Keen to check out what has happened in Mothercare (ELC - I have heard rumours....)
How sad am I....

Kewcumber · 11/10/2007 20:18

I could possibly do afternoon if thats any good to you SSN. Though if you'd ever seen DS in a coffee shop you would probably change your mind - my coffee breaks last 20 mins (if I'm lucky)

ScaryScaryNight · 11/10/2007 20:23

See, that is why it is such a shame that the coffee shop in Mothercare is no more!

I was thinking sort of after 1 pm at some point? I will have my 28 month old with me.

Kewcumber · 11/10/2007 20:25

well DS naps roughly 1-3pm so would have to be after that for me. I know, I wept bitter tears when coffee shop in Mothercare went.

Kewcumber · 11/10/2007 20:26

I can still hear DS squeaking away to himself. Can;t even call it singing. Its link the house is haunted by a combination of mice and the Clangers.

ScaryScaryNight · 11/10/2007 20:36

Oh, that may be a little on the laste side, depending on how soon after 3 you could get there. For me this has to coincide with picking my youngest up from preschool in Mortlake/East sheen at 12.15. It is not unfeasible, as could make a detour at the green for the playground

Kewcumber · 11/10/2007 22:26

thats a bit tricky SSN - normally I would say DS would be awake by 2.30 therefore in M&S by 3pm however we are going swimming before lunch and its possible he'll conk out until 3pm which means not in M&S until 3.30...

D'you want to leave it for another day?

ScaryScaryNight · 11/10/2007 22:30

I think that might be easier, seems it will be difficult to get a "perfect fit" on this occasion!

SushiMummy · 12/10/2007 10:11

Morning all.

I think I'll be at M&S in Kew at around 4 today for quick browsing. (Not v long as I have to pick DS up at nursery.)

sfxmum · 12/10/2007 11:00

good morning all

SJ we did come home with a beanie Fifi Flowertot also I was a horrible parent and let her slobber all over the recorders

Bunnyan - that is why I miss the Boggie tots thing at Mothercare, still don't know where she holds the class now.
will keep you posted.

re M&S it might be the only place I go to today at some point, but I have never been to the coffee shop, usually just in and out for milk or something.

somehow we managed to sleep till 9.30 today suits me a lazy day

ComeOVeneer · 12/10/2007 11:37

HI all. Just back from shopping (I am still getting used to being able to do it child-free, BLISS). Can't make coffee this afternoon as I will be busy cooking in preparation for tomorrow. I think I may have slightly over catered so I hope you will all be hungry

eleusis · 12/10/2007 12:09

COV,
Am I bringing blender? juicer?

xoxo · 12/10/2007 13:32

ok, so - again -sorry for being crap at this. but am looking forward to seeing y'all tomorrow nite for catch up.

emmmmm, can I cadge a lift or shall I drive and be boringly sober???

am out inspecting drug dens on the old kent rd this afternoon so will catch up later.

foxensteinscreature · 12/10/2007 13:39

Oxo we used to live off the Old Kent Rd when we were first married. My Mum came down to see us once and as soon as she got out of her taxi, about 20 dealers surrounded her offering her drugs. She saw the funny side - think she said "I'm a bit old for drugs aren't I?"

eleusis · 12/10/2007 13:51

Oxo, you could do train to Kingston and taxi from there if there are no offers. I am currently grovelling to get a ride from DH. I'm probably pushing my luck... we'll see.

Just worked out that it requires one train and two busses to get to yours COV. So, if DH says no, think I'll be in a taxi both ways.

lemonaid · 12/10/2007 13:56

oxo, I could give you a lift? Mind you, you'll have to let me know your address as the only time I've been there I was very drunk strangely forgetful. You aren't on the MN contact list, are you? I'll try CATing you.

SJ99 · 12/10/2007 15:06

hiya

Ds still sleeping, late nap today so don't think we'll make it to Kew this arvo. Was inspired by Kew to go swimming this morning but went to Teddington as it's closer and pool is nice and warm. DS spent more time on steps than in water but seemed to enjoy it nonetheless. How as your swim sesh KC?

Rang boogie tots woman but no. is dead. No reply from email either. Maybe she's gone incognito for a while...? let me know if you hear from her SFX

Looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow

lemonaid · 12/10/2007 15:24

Assume number dead, not woman?

sfxmum · 12/10/2007 15:26
