For when the August thread runs out.

OP posts:
eleusis · 21/09/2007 08:12

I'm pondering coming to the funeral, but I'm not sure if I can get the time off work.

But, I want to contribute to any wreath/biscuits/etc. Where and when do I send money?

MrsRecycle · 21/09/2007 09:03

So far I have mellow/sfx/pc/Kc/Quokka/ele/MrsR/COV/Ros/Lemon contributing for wreath so that makes around £3 each. Anyone else I've missed off?

sfxmum · 21/09/2007 09:09

morning all
to keep on my active convos

ComeOVeneer · 21/09/2007 10:19

Morning all. Just adding this to my convos too.

eleusis · 21/09/2007 10:49

How are we paying you, MrsR? Paypal?

I don't think I can take the day off. Just got scolded for taking yesterday off without telling my schmuck of a boss. I don't really care what he thinks. But, another short notice day off is probably not on the cars. Pity. I want to participate in anything we can do for 2cute around work hours.

Does anyone know what actually happened? If it can't be posted here, could you e-mail/cat me?

Paddlechick666 · 21/09/2007 10:51

so, can we actually get a list of who's going.

Paddle
MrsR
SFX
CoV

are the ones I am sure about.

Ele, 2Cute hasn't gone into detail about what happened.

MrsRecycle · 21/09/2007 11:22

ele - I owe you £3 from the maternity clothes I flogged on ebay so call it quits.

rosmerta · 21/09/2007 11:53

I'm coming now I've got childcare sorted. Paddle, I know this is really cheeky but would you be able to give me a lift if you're driving? I can come to yours if that helps.

eleusis · 21/09/2007 12:22

rosmerta, click here now

Paddlechick666 · 21/09/2007 12:46

ros, no worries. sfx, am sure could figure out a rendezvous point with you too.

rosmerta · 21/09/2007 12:47

Thanks ele, I've emailed her now!

sfxmum · 21/09/2007 12:58

I guess if I take the H37 from Richmond it will get me near you paddle

Paddlechick666 · 21/09/2007 13:13

SFX, yep the h37 is my bus. Could perhaps pick up Ros by Redlees park about 12:10 and you from Tesco at St Marg's about 12:15 then meet MrsR and/or CoV somewhere along a316 about 12:30ish........

sfxmum · 21/09/2007 13:21

Tesco it is then take you mean the one near the station.

of to take dd to park I think, just asked her

  • so are we going or what
  • or what lets try or what teen in training!
rosmerta · 21/09/2007 13:24

lol at minisfx!

Paddle, is Redlees next to the swimming pool & library in Isleworth?

Just had a bit of a dodgy experience with Next, ordered some boots online, order goes through and they're going to be delivered tomorrow but they haven't asked for any payment! When I look into it, it turns out that my 'registering' on the website to place the order actually means opening an account , am going to write to them to complain that its a very sneaky way of getting people to open accounts.

Paddlechick666 · 21/09/2007 13:32

sfx, yep that's the one. me-thinks minisfx and pintsizepaddle are in the same vein! there has been much "go 'way" and "stoppit mummy" this week

ros, vertbaudet operate the same way and i think it sucks too.

Redless is behind the library and pool. If you're planning to catch the 257 (is that the right bus number?!) if you hop off opposite the library I'll pick you up there.

btw, all passengers will have to sit in the back due dd's car seat being in the passenger seat these days.......

Kewcumber · 21/09/2007 14:18

I'm really sad I can't make the funeral. Board meeting unfortunately. Can I suggest everyone sends/gives me £10 and that would probably cover biscuits and wreath (at a guess), I'll give/transfer to MrsR the money for the wreath. save two lots of payal or faffing around with money. If anyone think £10 is too much or just can't afford it, just send what you can. Is that OK?

rosmerta · 21/09/2007 14:22

I'm off to Kew Retail this afternoon if anyone wants to meet for a coffee, would need to be no later than 4pm tho!

Kew, £10 is fine, I'll transfer it asap.

Thanks Paddle, I'll get off at the library then

Kewcumber · 21/09/2007 14:39

DS may be awake by 4pm Ros if you want to meet for coffee either here or in Mothercare. He only went to sleep at 2pm because my bro and SIL came up to visit (making an effort )

Paddlechick666 · 21/09/2007 14:43

QC, where do I paypal you?

Kewcumber · 21/09/2007 14:46

my usual email address Paddle

Kewcumber · 21/09/2007 14:49

photo of DS being a pirate added but sadly not a great one - sword and hat not in evidence

lemonaid · 21/09/2007 14:54

Vertbaudet at least you can buy online without opening an account (you need to keep a careful eye on what you're ticking and not ticking and read everything three times, but it can be done). Next if you order online you automatically open an account and there's no way around it. Supposedly if you phone up and go through very long-winded conversations you can manage to order without opening an account, but I've never had the energy to try (even flushed with the success of my vertbaudet account avoidance).

MrsR, how do I pay you?

lemonaid · 21/09/2007 14:55

Oops, read entire thread first -- I'll assume that QC can transfer some of what I paid her, then.

MrsRecycle · 21/09/2007 15:09

QC - that's fine with me and £10 is ok.
