For when the August thread runs out.

OP posts:

I still think you should tell hm that you are too stressed and depressed by the situation to deal with him right now. Its what he says, isn't it?

Paddlechick666 · 10/10/2007 20:03

sfx, yes perhaps you are right that he is just making threats. so much for his message earlier in the week of "suits me if you just tell me when you're moving out and i will move in".

ordinarily i struggle big time with the silent treatment. but i have to say, the longer i keep it up the easier it becomes.

and weirdly, i don't like that it becomes easier. it makes for a longer path to travel back on.

ComeOVeneer · 10/10/2007 20:06

I ended up having a bowl of soup too. Am now in bed with laptop and a cup of tea. DH has been put in charge of getting children to bed, can still hear the commotion downstairs and has to fend for himself food wise. Is hehaving soup, or cooking for himself? No, of couse not, he has ordered a pizza

rosmonster · 10/10/2007 20:30

paddle, forget about h tonight and just enjoy yourself! Easier said than done I know...

I've also had a bath with glass of wine tonight, ds came in to say goodnight and decided that I didn't have enough toys in there! So I had a bath with wine, a duck, a frog and a fleet of toy boats

Kewcumber · 10/10/2007 20:36

I plan to make a friday pre lunch swim (about 11am) a regular thing over the winter if anyone (including steppie) want to join in.

rosmonster · 10/10/2007 20:39

I would Kew but ds is at nursery on Fri am. I am going to probably go more in the afternoon!

Kewcumber · 10/10/2007 20:45

I thoughthe went on Monday? Not that I pay that much attention to other peoples schedules I have enough problme following my own!

sfxmum · 10/10/2007 20:53

ros - what a kind thoughtful young man you have there

KC - I might go but depends on a few things but that is my usual time but which day it depends on our mood.

dd fast asleep it is impressive how she leaps about until she just crashes and it's lights out

MrsRecycle · 10/10/2007 20:54

hi ladies!! COV I make the best vegetable soup cotaining everything dds don't like and call it "cheese and chip" soup, they waft it down and ask for more - if only they knew?

Sfx - definitely go with the OPK idea - I got mine for less than fiver on ebay brand new. I was astonished when mine told me I OVd on day 10 of a 32 day cycle but the result is ds so it did work. I tried to get pg with dd2 for over 2 years and had to resort to Clomid which worked on the third attempt. I've got some left over if you want them (but don't tell anyone else or sue me if you have twins!).

pc - glad your migraine has eased but has been replaced with a pain in the bum (theoretically). Enjoy your night in - I'm going to have a bath as I've had a very stressful day, coupled with having spent 2 hours on the M25 getting home.

I had tomorrow all sorted, I was going to work from home no traffic/don't have to get dressed/etc and then I go and get a letter from the hospital (breast clinic) saying that they need to see me at 8.50 am (I only went to the Docs last week). Oh well, at least I'm in the best place. I had a lump removed a couple of years ago which was benign and I've been experiencing some problems with the same boob so, if there's nothing wrong, I'm going to ask for a boob job - it's worth a try eh??

MrsRecycle · 10/10/2007 20:55

oh shit sfx - you've just reminded me dh put ds to bed and I said I would go up and put his pj's on. That was an hour ago.

rosmonster · 10/10/2007 20:59

thanks sfx!

Actually Kew, he goes on Tues & Fri am. He did used to go on Mons but we hated paying for bank holidays when the nursery would be closed!

rosmonster · 10/10/2007 21:00

MrsR, hope everything's ok tomorrow.

Foxie - how's dd?

sfxmum · 10/10/2007 21:02

mrsR hope all is ok at the clinic tomorrow it is good they are seeing you quickly either way

foxensteinscreature · 10/10/2007 21:03

MrsR [big hugs] good luck at the clinic tomorrow. It good they are seeing you so quickly isn't it? I got seen in a weekwhen I had a lumpy thing too.

Let me know that happens tomorrow - I'm sure it will al be fine. BFing often leaves lumpy residues apparently, inside the ducts.

lemonaid · 10/10/2007 21:05

Eventually I didn't tell DH what the significant days were and let him think we were going with the flow and being spontaneous...

lemonaid · 10/10/2007 21:06

Hope all is well, MrsR.

foxensteinscreature · 10/10/2007 21:07

Ros - thanks for asking I kept her off school today as she vommed again last night. She was very sleepy this morning and I was a bit worried she might have concussion from the bang to her head (vomming and falling asleep) but she perked up later on.

I actually had a peaceful day - for the first time in weeks

sfxmum · 10/10/2007 21:08

not that I like patronizing them but men are quite gullible aren't they? especially when it comes to sexbless them

ComeOVeneer · 10/10/2007 21:10

Will be thinking of you tomorrow MrsR. Foxy pleased dd has perked up. It is so worrying when they bang their heads isn't it. The balance between sensible caution and over protective parenting is a tough one isn't it?!?

Pennies · 10/10/2007 21:30

Sorry to hijack this. V. bad manners.

COV - I hope you don't mind but I have placed a message for you on the schools thread.

stepfordwife · 10/10/2007 22:35

evening all

foxie, so glad dd is feeling better. how's the eczema on her eye?

mrsR - good luck for tomorrow.
hmmm "cheese and chips soup" yum!

foxensteinscreature · 11/10/2007 08:50

Mornin all

DD got up early today - all geared up for school and proceeded to give DH a really hard time - as I left the house, I could hear her screaching (harpie like) "I can make my own breakfast Daddy!!!"

Poor him!

Tee hee

sfxmum · 11/10/2007 09:12

good morning all

so foggy, just like London in the old movies!

foxie - yep sounds like dd is back to her old self, glad to hear.

Paddlechick666 · 11/10/2007 09:22

morning all, i've been throwing up all night

and before you ask, not because of over indulgence!

the only good thing here is that the involuntary bulemia might mean that half a bar of galaxy i scoffed won't count!

i've felt grotty all week truth be known so it may be a virus. or it may be the readymeal i had, it was reduced coz it was on it's sell by date.

ComeOVeneer · 11/10/2007 09:41

Sorry to here you had a rotten night paddle, hope you feel better soon. Thinking of you this morning MrsR. Foxy sounds like dd is back to normal (wish I could say the same for me, still feeling lousy but at least I have the morning to myself).
