For when the August thread runs out.

OP posts:

I think it is simpler if I open a paypal account and might as well join Facebook as well.

Ros I would meet but minisfx is a homebody today, I expect she will get the urge to go out just as I start cooking dinner then do a huge wee on the floor in protest.

so glad I went out early in the morning otherwise be having cabin fever by now.

ComeOVeneer · 21/09/2007 15:59

Kew I now have a paypal account but am unsure how I pay an individual.

MrsRecycle · 21/09/2007 16:02

COV - just put KC's email address in the send money box - it's as easy as that!

lemonaid · 21/09/2007 16:08

DS and DH today on the way to nursery:

DH: What sort of day will it be?
DS: A big, wet, rainy day.
DH: Well, there are some clouds about. Do you know where rain comes from, DS?
DS: From the sky. [pause] No shouting, screaming or hitting in the sky, because it upsets the clouds.

I think I rather like two-and-a-half. We have these sorts of head-scratching conversations a lot...

ComeOVeneer · 21/09/2007 16:19

Right have sent it Kew (I hope).

Kewcumber · 21/09/2007 20:06

OK biscuits are on order - hope they are good because they cost £42 including delivery. Still they will be differnt to flowers and DS will enjoy them more.

rosmerta · 21/09/2007 20:10

KC, nice to see you and ds today if only briefly! I did think afterwards I could've given you the money then but hindsight and all that.

We had someone come round today to give us a quote for painting the living room, ds kept copying him as he looked around the room & checked the ceiling, it was v funny!

My good intentions to start a diet have gone out of the window as well. Dh in France so I've ordered a pizza!

Kewcumber · 21/09/2007 20:13

and you could have knocked off the price of the coffee I owe you! Went for coffee with Ros to discover that I'd left my purse by the compuetr wilst paying for the MN london Xmas do!

Paddlechick666 · 21/09/2007 20:17

i've paypal'd.

i didn't ring 2Cute today as i've just been snowed under with work. in fact i am still working now.

i will try tomorrow.

Kewcumber · 21/09/2007 20:23

I thought I'd wait until after the funeral to call her though I have included my phone number in her card.

mellow2 · 22/09/2007 07:11

Hi everyone

Kew/MrsR - I am contributing too remember!

I will post £10 through Kew's door

That reminds me Kew - about DD's pirate clothes - could you give them to CM on Monday and I'll collect them from her (assuming I don't see you beforehand)? I'm too as I doubt if I can realistically get to 2cute's DH's funeral . I have to drop DD the same time as the funeral starts and I would still have DS2. I might ask my Dad if he can drop DD but he is not known to like helping people

Hi everyone else.

stepfordwife · 22/09/2007 12:47

hi everyone
how you all diddling?

kew and mrsr - thanks for organising the biscuits and flowers. will pop £10 through your letterbox at some point over the weekend, kew.

sfx and lemonaid - yes 2-and-a-half is such a fun age, isn't it? they've still got that gorgeous "babyness" but as their personalities develop more and more, you enjoy their take on the world.

dd keeps saying:"ma ma, my knick knacks are up my bum bum! " mainly thanks to her big brothers introducing her to the joys of "wedgies". all you with big brothers, please tell me she's going to be ok....

mind you, not so amusing, is her frequent earnest desire to inform me:"ma ma not pretty... m pretty. " good job i have little or no ego..the dc have beaten it out of me

Kewcumber · 22/09/2007 13:43

Paddlechick666 · 22/09/2007 14:02

afternoon all

heading to north sheen as want to hunt down new shoes for dd.

anyone about later for a coffee/catch up?

sfxmum · 22/09/2007 16:57

hi all, so I have joined Facebook now what do I do?

foxcub · 22/09/2007 18:06

sfx - type the names of friends into the "search" box and find out who you know on there!!

Its fun but I find it a bit overwhelming. I'm forever getting stuff from people which I cannot deal with (partly 'cos my PC has slowed down since I updated its security package online . I get sheeps, cups of tea and hugs thrown at me all day long and its all a bit much TBH [weary voice]

foxcub · 22/09/2007 18:07

Paddle - lovely to see you earlier - DS1 is now helping DD with her homeowkr - being really nice etc

sfxmum · 22/09/2007 18:42

cups of tea? what is there a butler service included? do they do ironing? dusting?

dh is huff puffing in the kitchen cooking what will be a very late dinner I have never seen anyone get side tracked and loose hrs as he does bless him

it is very hard to bite my tongue and not say
' are you still cooking today? you know x time don't you?'

foxcub · 22/09/2007 20:00

sfx tee hee

lemonaid · 22/09/2007 20:34

And when you find friends, look at their friends to see if you know them too...

Paddlechick666 · 22/09/2007 21:02

you can use friend finder to find your friends too.

dd got new shoes today. she held the box all the way home saying "thank you mummy"! god i love her!

foxie, good to see you earlier. ds2 is growing sooo fast! glad to hear ds1 resumed his angelic-ness. i am to say that i remained grumpy all thru dd's tea and bath.

don't know how you do it with 3 [respect]!

Paddlechick666 · 22/09/2007 21:03
